Having raised several young chars in BB and Gfay, I have a distinct dislike for the Ambassador. Having been totally murdered by him on several occasions, I took my lvl 35 ranger to CB, for the express purpose of payback to D'Vinn.
I, naturally, being lvl 35 pretty much owned anything in the zone, if I wanted to take it down. Went to the tower, spent some time healing and buffing the peeps in the throne room on my way, and letting the zone know what I planned on doing. I got to the tower, and cleared it, no prob, and let the lowers in the zone who needed the drops, come loot, since I was just there for revenge, not loot. I spent the whole day on a Saturday, killing D'Vinn, and the rest of the crew in the tower, multiple times each, and it was VERY satisfying. D'Vinn still hits pretty good, but I just snared so he couldn't run, and went to work, straight up melee,(using an Ebony Bladed Sword and my Flamesong) and he never got more than a bub from me. My armor isn't that great, Ivy Etched Tunic and Bracers, and banded, but i have a good AGI, and I gotta say it was the most fun I've had in game in a while. I'm now ally with Stormguard(still), and Faydark's Champions, (my guild of course,), and Emerald Warriors, and KOS to Crushbone, and the Indigo Brotherhood. /em shrug....hehehe... Anyway, to all the people who've been done dirty by this guy, just remember, there's always the future, and revenge is VERY sweet.

Posted: Mar 11 2002 at 8:17 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) this guy is not an undercon for the most part without the dirk, hes just a group con. the only reason you guys aint killing him is you arent in a high enough group or any grp at all. however, verant made him a little too much of a grp con cuz you MUST have a grp to kill him before at least lv 25 when hes green. with the dirk, however, this is an entirely different story. youd be lucky to live more than 30 secs if he has it as he maxes for well over 100 and BSs for 200+ so watch out!

My guild (Kelethin Legions) raided Crushbone last night, and met up with a small party from an allied guild (Starspun). We took DVinn in seconds all three times that he spawned in a two hour period. Of course, we had the tower populated by:
A level 30 magician with pet.
Seven rangers, between level 17 and 26.
A level 19 bard.
Three druids, ranging from level 5(!) to 34.
Two rogues, levels 17 and 35.
Three paladins, level 16 to 21.
Needless to say, we wiped out the entire zone between spawns of Crush and DVinn. We were sniping the stupid cents and legos in the courtyard just to get them to come upstairs. Plus, the level 5 druid survived the entire thing, and went out of CB happy with lots of money and one solo Crush kill.

We were myself a Druid 14, a tank dwarf 16, a Wiz 14, a bard 13 and an enchanter 13. This guy killed the entire group one time and the second time he was taken out only after killing two members and after a friendly Wiz lvl 30ish who we were sharing the camp with helped out. Watch out for this Guy!
Even at lvl 35 DVinn stands a chance to wipe you out. A word of warning, if your camping any smurf dont drop your gaurd for a second.

I dunno, but I WANT HIM DEAD! Never killed me (thank brell!) but I am a victaim of his armys of orcs, and I will destory the ambassidor! Also, I dont have to melee, being an Enchanter thats my pets job and I think a level 20 pet+fear+root should be able to take down this moron! Anyway, I have a Price tag on his brother (Dorn B'Dynn) forehead, yet i dont want dorn dead, id rather have a 50% chance of the dagger

Posted: Feb 03 2002 at 7:15 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) this dark elf is NOT underconnned by damage im a lv 22 pally with all my spells almost full bronze so about 500AC and armed with an SBS and a GB and he whipped me but good. he hits for EXACTLY what a lv 18 should, problem is he maxes way too often and almost never misses, plus(being a rogue) he is almost impossible to stinking hit! my skill is maxed with bash and 1hslash and he was mostly just parry parry, riposte, dodge, miss miss oh no 5 dmg! whereas he was simply 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 over and overtwice as fast as me so he is just way faster, more agile and more accurate, thats all.

the easiest class that can kill him are rangers because all you have to do is pull him outside and just root, bow, ignite, repeat until out of mana and by that time he should be almost dead if not just melee him. i should know i am a lvl 24 ranger on the saryrn server and have killed him at least 6 times. 1. Unless your AC is so twinked (which based on your weapon it is) that he was only hitting you for 20s, he hits for 40s
2. DVinn has over 500hp I've killed him 4 times so I would know

I'm a 25 paladin on Rodcet Nife
I've taken Dvinn on 4 times so far in the last three days (First time at 25, next 3 times at level 24 :| )
He conned blue all 4 times
The first time he took me down to one bubble of life and it looked like he basically had the same amount, I went to LoH and it was interrupted !@#$
Back to level 24
Went back, got my corpse just in time for both Crush and Dvinn to pop at the same time, took out Crush fairly easily (was also blue), LoHed and took out Dvinn no problem.
Wandered around CB for a bit, went back in, he popped again, this time I forgot about the LoH and died again.
Fourth time I killed him easily and without LoH.
He shouldn't be too hard for a group of 17-20's to take him.

This guy can be scary for lower levels. He has a mean backstab.... Ammbasdor Dvvin backstabs YOU for 92 points of damage.... LOADING PLEASE WAIT

It sure feels good to kill him after putting up with him in your lower levels. This guy is a rouge so he has a lower number of hit points. The best way to kill him I have seeen is to get a few people in your group to nuke him, then he should be easy to kill, whatch out though he has a high resit rate. May you all get you drt without dieing. Happy hunting.

I was on last night and he con'ed light blue to my Lvl 31 Ranger. So I decieded to take him on. He took off 2 bulbs of health before I killed him.
He hits hard and fast (Only got 2 ignites off). The wierd thing is that he poped minutes later and con'ed green. This time he was much easier to kill (even with Crush hitting me).
Don't take this one too lightly. Just my 2cp worth.

I am a lvl 18 mage and DVinn cons yellow to me, i had expected it to be red. I have had people tell me hes in the 40s but that is the biggest crap. He is overrated in that. However, he is definitely an undercon, especially if he has his dagger. The other day me and a lvl 19 warrior were campin the tower and killed him twice, no prob really (and emp crush 5 times hehe). A few days later, a lvl 20 warrior friend of mine conned him blue and tried to solo him at first(though there WAS backup) and started getting killed badly. There is a lot of arguing of what lvl he is and theres tons of stories above of different lvls of people killing him and BEING killed by him so my conclusion is that he has a very WIDE range of lvls...probably anywhere from 20 to the mid 30s, not sure though. Loot from him is ok.

I had a level 22 warrior helping, along with a summoned level 23 earth pet, and a level 22 cleric as backup (mainly healing the warrior). I parked the pet in the middle of the room, and turned the cleric invisible whenever she needed to meditate.
DVinn pops about 1/3 to 1/2 the time in the southern placeholder in the tower. Sometimes he'll pop 2-3 times in a row, other times you have to wait a few spawns (and kill the regular orc centurion that takes his place). FYI, don't let any of your party stand on top of his placeholder as this will force the spawn to pop in the window or outside on the ledge. (If you attack him on the ledge, he will promptly jump down and run through the castle back up to the throne room, dragging everything blue or higher along with him. So either fight him in the courtyard when he's playing ledge-jumper or be prepared for the train.)
The Dragoon Dirk is a *rare* drop (I think I've killed him maybe a dozen times and only had it drop once).
My level 24 nukes landed for full damage 95% of the time, and between the warrior and the pet wailing on him for about 2-3 melee rounds (figure 150 dmg by the melee per round), I usually had to nuke 3-4 times (158 dmg each time) to put him down (DVinn didn't last long with our crew to make more than a tiny dent in the warrior). So that puts his hit points above 800-900 (depending on how powerful he is when he spawns).

Hehe, had to run from him at 27 with my warrior.. At 30 took him at the zone line after someone drug him there, but only with the help of some nice lower level druid that kept firing that 30 pt heal on me.. don't know how much was taken off before i started.. So last night, (I'm now 34th) I went into the tower, killed that stupid oracle that heals, killed the guard, cleared the tower of crush and the prophet, killed the cent which i think is his PH, then waited.. He popped.. kicked his little butt finally.. and I got the dirk :). It's one of those things that you start to enjoy in this game... REVENGE on those SOB's that made life sucky for you a few levels ago!!!

i killed him np with crush whith a 35 dru healing wasted him easy got the dirk n i got the dwarven right mail at 20 with like 500ac hitting for 56 dubble attacking for 112 n 898hp ended up with 200 hp no easye guys i got lucky the 200 hp was after heal i was almost unchounsus from him n crush watch it!

Ok one day i decided had inside the castle to kill for belts and legos for friend at lvl 14.i summoned 39 fire pet waited for him cast his fire shield and was killing npcs when this little bugger backstabs me for 62 hps fire pet to rescue right.Fire pet soloed him.Once battle was over my pet had 30% health so yea he is one mean npc dont surprize now why so many run from this guy.Also there is alot orcs inside the castle and they will all aggro low lvls so beware if your new to castle cause without sow your dead.Good exp and loot though for mid lvls they drop bronze sometimes and dwarven ringmail woot.I let 8 peeps loot ringmail.

Tanks have a hard time hitting this dude you mostly need a caster friend to nuke while you take the hits the only tank I have seen kill him is a lvl 38 tank with wurmy and some other sword I forgot but he lost a little over half so to kill him you need either a healer or a caster to nuke the S&%*) out of him!

I think either i got an extra tough version, or just plain unlucky. i'm a lvl 30 war, got around 175 str, full crafted, max 1hs skill, a wurm and a waz... conned the new light blue to me.. so, i'm guessing he's around 25?.. still beat me... so.. careful dudes.. he's one tough cookie

As for the guy who said his 14-16 lvl (untwinked) no buffed group beat crush,orcle and dvinn at the same time NFW he hits for 40-75 hp not counting backstabing or stunn and crush is no lite-wait and orcle just keeps healing him
