For his level, this dude hits HARD - my level 18 pally got whomped in about 30 seconds by this guy, i was only able to take him about 1/4 of the way down before i had to try to high-tail it outta CB - just before i zoned he hit me for over 50 and finished me off, that was the only time my pally had faced death - this guy is bad news for anyone under level 30 that does not have mass DD spells

How can a lvl 36 druid use a FS short sword kinda bogus i think and 1 spell yea hed get those lucky hits you and your silly dots :)

This guy is the REAL DEAL. Tough. Hits hard (40's) and hits often. Doesn't miss much and strikes fast. My experince with him...

Well like most people in their mid-20's, I came back to Crushbone to pay my proper respect to the Ambassador. I sliced my way through the throne room... killed everything in the tower and waited. Took three pops of Lord Crush before D'Vinn showed. I was sitting in the tower window (hidden) and I was talking to my real life brother on the phone. Just seeing D'Vinn this close, with no healers or buffs on me... well I wasn't sure I could drop him anymore. He conned blue to me at 26. I figured "why not, it's just a game" and went for it. Tried to open with a backstab, missed, and the fight was on. I swear this man hits at least as fast as I do, and I was using VERY fast weapons (Blood Point and Shaded Dagger at the time). A few minutes go by and its close. Too close. We both slip under 50% at the same time... and then he starts turning up the heat some, I started missing and next thing I know I am at a bubble and half and he has two full left. I started to panick. I was going to lose. I did the right thing and typed /ooc D'Vinn-train to Zone... however right after I let the zone know I was gonna run... D'Vinn began to miss. EVERYTHING. And I started hitting again. At 1 bub of health, he turned and tried to flee. Big mistake against a Rogue. A few backstabs in the 100's later and D'Vinn dropped. Too close. Way to close of a battle.

My point... unbuffed I took D'Vinn at level 26 with a Rogue. But... I think I got lucky. He's tough.

could me (51 ranger) and 60 rogue and 60 wizzie take this guy down?

I am a lvl 25 untwinked Enchanter. I too have recently gone back to CB to seek revenge on Crush and Dvinn for the many deaths they caused me.

I buff up my stupid chanter pet and take out the Royal Guard. NP there. I looked up further, and saw that crush was up there with an oracle, but no Dvinn. I pulled crush. The oracle did not attack but kept healing him, so I mezzed the oracle. Crush actually conned Dark Blue to me every time at lvl 25. He took about 2 bubs of mana and two bubs of my stupid pets health. I was very happy to see that even at my lvl, he gave me 4/5's of a blue bub exp.

Crush seemed to pop about every 10 minutes. I just went out and buffed the lower lvl's in the Throne room when I was bored.

Finally Dvinn popped. Unfortunately, Crush and the Prophet popped with him. Dvinn was D.Blue and the Prophet was lt.Blue.

I buffed and hasted my pet, medded to full and pulled them all. I knew I wanted to take out Dvinn first, so I slowed him and then attempted to mez the others. The prophet was NP. Crush on the other hand resisted every last mez attempt. Even after I tashed him he resisted. At this point Crush was pounding on me and Dvinn was chewing up my stupid pet. I wasn't going to last long like this. I stunned Crush long enough to try mezzing Dvinn. Thankfully it worked. I took out crush, remezzed the Prophet and finished off Dvinn. The prophet went down easily. I finished with 1 bub of mana and 2 bubs of health. My stupid pet had less than a bub of health left.

These guys are definitely tough when you have to fight them together. I don't know if Crush is unmezzable or if I just had bad luck, but it almost got me killed. Be prepared to fight these guys.

divin hits in low 40s max, but he hits in the 40s a lot more then somthing his lv, thus, he does more damage.

uber is german for super, and some eq geek decided that instead of saying this is a good item, he says this item is uber!! well thats it.

I'm a 32 War with some Crafted and assorted other armor. I duel weild with a Crystallized Sword (11dam/29 delay) and Silvery Axe (6 dam/23 delay).

I was wondering though GFay and decided to see of Dvinn was in Crushbone. He was, and so was the Prophet, Crush, and the Royal Guard. I kill the Royal Guard, but noticed the Oracles were healing him, so afterwards I killed them, too. Then I drew the Prophet. Took maybe 50 points damage or so: no biggy. I con Dvinn and he's green (no surprise).

The stars are in alignment, I thought, and so I pull him without healing back up to max. First few exchanges, I'm taking around 40 points per hit, but am giving as good as I get. Then....

Then I start hitting for crap. I'm hitting the guy, but doing only 1 or 12 points of damage! And my kick is missing him like crazy. But still, I reasoned I had a lot more HPs than he does, so I can win a battle of attrition. I was wrong. We both get way down in HPs: less than a bulb. Then a legionaire from the throne room shows up and starts (trying) to hit me. Dvinn kills me with what couldn't have been more than 20 hps left (a tiny sliver of health). But *I am dead*, a level 32 War that can easily wipe anything else in the zone.

My conclusion is this: D'Vinn hits about as hard as any other low to mid 20. However, he is much harder to hit. Also, he hits you way more frequently than is the average for his level range. Thus, engaging D'Vinn straight up in Melee, particularly without any buffs to offset is obscene AC (for his level), is *very* dangerous. Warriors, I think, will have the hardest time against him, though I don't know how well he resists: sounds like his resists are in line with his level range. Take him out at a distance if you can.

Just beat him for the first time tonight. Took my 18 Warrior, an 18 Ranger and a 21 Pally using LoH to take him down, and even then it was close. I must have missed him 7 or 8 times out of 10, man.

Con'd light blue to a level 31.
