There is a static spawn at /LOC -1632, -568, 240, North and slightly east of the Gunthak boat. Spawns timer is very short just 3 minutes. And one will wander by this spot too. He does Not drop the Stoneforger's Lore every time.

That is such a super help, thank you! The given description, that it spawns among the kobolds in the southern part of the zone, is so misleading! I can only assume that was to prevent the task from being too easy.
Actually it is a bit to the west of the boat; no worries though your loc is right on. Thanks!
