Khrix Fritchoff  

I swear this guy has it in for me...I was pulling for my group and went into the house with inivs vs. undead on thinking I was invincible (not so) considering Khrix is a gnome (which I didn't know)and could see right through my mask. Well I see this door open and a skele run out so I go towards it only to find a gnome running after the skele...awe shucks I say to myself. Then suddenly bang I'm rooted and the gnome is attacking me!!!! I see his name "Khrix Fritchoff" and I start swearing in group talk and shouting that Khrix has rooted me and is beating me silly. After yelling for some help a kind Troll finally comes running to my aid. The root wears off only to be recast upon me directly after. I go down in the fury, quite pissed off at the uninstigated attack.
I return and get my corpse and my group and I go inside to camp the bar room. As we get up there one of our members was getting attacked down below us. We run down to help him only to find that every spawn in the room is on him. We taunt off the attackers so he can run to zone and then we ourselves head out...well everyone but me...I run through a large room headed for the opposite hallway that Khrix is in...despite the distance between us Khrix still casts root on me allowing the carrion ghouls and barbed bone skeles to rip me to shreds. Now everytime I accidentally step into that room I get rooted by Khrix.
Anyway I hate Khrix because he likes to pick fights with me and all I want is to be his friend :(
Oh well one day I'm gonna teach him a lesson...

I was waiting for the Dwarven Ghost camp to free up, so me, being the highest level thing there, decided to strut around and look for something big to kill. I noticed this guy that I had noticed many times before, but had never paid much attention to. I asked what he was for, and recieved many replys telling me to give him a fire beetle eye and find out. well, i wasn't so willing to give up my only fire beetle eye. I need it for my biggest DoT spell, Breath or Ro. So, i finally take up the challenge, hearing that he will despawn and a higher level non-casting ghoul (40 or 45) will spawn in it's place and drop a quest item, and people were willing to pay me for right to loot it. I gave him the eye, and backed away quickly, so i could get a good running start. didn't want his blood to stain my fur. well, he just sat there like a *******. i shouted what had happened and people said that he should have despawned blah blah blah. i decided i was fairly ticked off at him for this, and rooted him, planning on killing him. His pet came after me, and hit me for a whopping 2 points of damage! then he broke the root and ran up to me and hit me very hard, around 40 or 50. i finally decided to just run (i was down to about 50% health). when i got outside, i jumped over the railing on the deck, and he chose the long way out. he died, and i figued out why he wasn't taking any damage from my nukes =). I had breath of ro and starfire memmed right next to eachother, and was casting breath of ro instead. he died, but i believe he has more than 900 hp, so i probably got off drifting death or something. so i went to loot him, and he had a polished brass key (not tarnished), a different key, and my fire beetle eye. i'm not trying to prove the rumor wrong, i'm just telling what happened for me. maybe u need good faction, or maybe he's broken on my server (prexus), or maybe the rumor isn't true. he's not hard at all to kill if u play it smart. i have a tendancy to just sit there and try to get off a nuke while the mob is beating on me if he's a lot lower than i am. pretty dumb, but i'm just a lazy kinda guy. my plans for killing the ghoul were simple. everyone in the zone was willing to back up against the wall while i would kite it around the house. tomorrow, if i get on, and the ghost is camped, i'll try again. anyway, i hope this info helps! see ya lata!

Heh...ironic of you to ***** about camping in SolB, Q...saw you there in Najena hoarding the spawns for rubicite. Gads I detest hypocrisy, esp. in a paladin.

The abomination does spawn if you give khrix a fire beetle eye. The animation is in the higher 30s. not 49. Also, there is a very good reason why paineel quests are ERU NEC or ERU cleric (evil). Because guess who starts in paineel? Erudite necromancers and Erudite evil clerics!! If this kind of quests were to exist for other race/class combos, they'd be elsewere. (wouldn't want a pally quest in there, would you?)

It is rumored that if you give him a fire beetle eye, a level 49 gould (Khrix's Abomination) will instantly spawn.

If you give Krix a fire beetle eye he will become Krix's Abomination He wasted a 32 warrior and cleric in NO TIME. Both of them said he conned red.

arcaanin is right he wil keep sommoning pets but the thing he didnt note is that he has like 4 pets at a time my tower group desided to get a little xp while waiting so we jumped him i tryed to pull him he wouldnt pull and almost nuked me to death though the floor so we went down after him he had 3 or 4 pets with him. wish pc necros would do that 8)

Khrixx is apparently part of the quest for a cleric only shield in Paineel called the dreaded shield....you are supposed to hail him and ask for poweder of reanimation where you then have to kill a lvl 35-40 abomination (ghoul and not the priest of najena) for him before he will give the powder up...i have not seen this abomination yet though....also You CAN attack his pet and he will not come but he will keep sending pets he summons as long as you are in the house and that is a great way to gain exp from lvls 24-30 as the pet is not that hard and they keep comin (like an exp. faucet)

He's part of a quest that starts in Paineel, pretty worthless one from what I've been able to find out (aren't they all?). Let this sleeping dog lie.

I hear that he's either a part of a new quest, or a quest that has yet to be implemented into the game. I'd check the Test server....

His pet cons blue to me at lvl 27.
He attacked me for some reason when the door shut behind me and was in his room. I ran out the door and his pet followed me. I killed the pet and went back to my group in the hand room.
Aparently he kept summoning new pets to kill me (can we say power leveling?) and my group smoked the pet many times and his master didn't come to help. Finally someone killed the little punk.
If you have a good group try sitting in the courtyard and pulling the pet once.. it'll keep coming =)

Well, I was bored and decided to smoke this runt. After a neasty battle (Ranger vs Necro) I called in a cleric to help. Little ******* only dropped a small cloth cord and 5cp.
