#Anonymous, Posted: Aug 23 2001 at 3:36 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hail, just wanted to say how easy this guy is alone. Just got done camping him (no shield) wich was preety easy for me (lvl 12 bard). the only thing i have to warn you about is... check the spawns around him if the agro on you when your really close to them, they'll help the trainer in spillingyour guts and cooking them in that little camp fire they got going. Found out the hard way and nearly died if it weren't for a druid in the zone who had nothing to do.
#Anonymous, Posted: Aug 08 2001 at 7:23 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Yall lower lvls need to be really careful around crushbone!I have died about 10 time between lvl 10 and 24 in crushbone. Mainly cause of this guy Retlon his spell does 121 dmg and he has a pet so watch it he is in a hole but mess with him under lvl 22 tank u gone unless u get some help!

#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 30 2001 at 12:27 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) THIS GUY CAN'T BE LVL 10-12 BECAUSE HE CONNED EVEN TO MY LVL 9 MAGICIAN AND I TOOK HIM ON BY MYSELF. AND THIS GUY ISN'T REALLY HARD FOR A MAGE OR ANY SPELL CASTER WITH A PET. ALL U GOTTA DO IS LURE HIM TO U WITH A SPELL THEN GET UR PET TO START WAMMING ON HIM THEN JUST SIT BACK AND LAUNCH HIM WITH A FEW SPELLS. IT WAS RED TO MY LVL 9 MAGE AND I KILLED HIM ALL BY MYSLEF. CASTERS SHOULD REALLY SOLO THIS GUY WHEN THEY HIT LVL 9 OR LVL 10. IT'S SOOOO EASY.
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 05 2001 at 8:22 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ahh...yeah...first, your going on that he cons BLACK to you at level 9, but then you go on about how you won and he was RED to you at lvl 9...let's keep with one story at a time, little one.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 24 2001 at 6:12 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I have heard that the SBS is a light sorce and i was wondering... Is it better than, equal to, or worse than, a greater lightstone? If you know please post it thanks.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 22 2001 at 5:06 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I play on Lans T'Vyl server and want to buy this sheild. send me a tell if you've got one for sale and i'm on. Thanks.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 22 2001 at 12:57 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Would the shield drop for a lvl 19? If so, I can have my chanter pick it up for my lvl 3 pally hehe
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 05 2002 at 10:19 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) The shield won't drop if you don't get experience from the kill. It's considered a magic item. Since there is a rule that magic, no rent, and lore items won't drop on monsters that don't give you xp, then that means you won't get it.

#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 29 2001 at 1:11 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) To whoever posted the message about being 12 and damn proud of it, congratulations, you are absolutely correct. As far as intelligence goes, the younger you are, the more intelligent you are, because your mind is not yet twisted into the narrow viewpoint of your experiences that comes with age, also better schooling and a less biased outlook on life from all around them has made kids much less nieve today than those of the past, i.e., adults. In addition, kids today are only violent compared to the baby-boomer generation, whereas any previous generations would find them about average. Kids today arent violent, the baby boomers were just pansies. And a final note, any computer game produced is targeted for the 10-18 year old range, so whats worse? a kid playing a game, or an adult playing games designed for children?
lol!

I've had this shield since level 7. With a whole group of some 9 and 8 players we went camping him. The mother of one of the team members was watching over us and turned us all into wolves. We were there 5-10 mins and he turned up twice, the first time he turned up i looted the shield, the 2nd time he didn't have it.

So thanks to the mother :)

He conned blue to me at lvl 17. I think that you only get the shiny brass shield when he is good. I killed him 2 times the first time he conned green and had nothing the second time he was blue and droped the shield

That guy had no luck then
# May 03 2001 at 1:58 AM Rating: Default
He drops it every 5-7 times, i camp him weekly. I have had about 24 different shields. I am on Tallon Zek, but my characters that camp him are darkies. If you want a shield just ask, i only charge about 15pp per shield.

Level 10???
# Apr 27 2001 at 5:44 PM Rating: Default
Perhaps a level 10 warrior, cleric, necromancer, or some other "power" character. Even something 2 levels ahead of a high elf magi shouldn't have been able to drop my pet in two hits and then chase me to the zone. He literally drilled me into a no color health bar before I finally crawed to the zone (agility dropped to 50.) I got barely a 1/4 life off him with my nukes and pet. By the way, Gadinn on the Zeb server, you're a complete jerk off for telling me you take him on regularly as a level 8 magi. :P

lol I'm a druid (no pet) at lv 10 and I take him on fairly easy. all you have to do as a caster is pull him jump off the small side of the clif (the one you jump up to get on hill) he will go al the way around you should be able to get a few spells in on him while he is going around(stupid orcs afraid to fall I guess) then when he comes over to you jump back up hit him some more as long as your mana holds out I could kill him at lv 5!

Hmm It looks like its exploiting what zou are doing and this would be dangerous because zou can beb banned from the server for doing this.

I camped the trainer today for one and a half hours. He was spawning like a clock, every 15 mins, finally at the 6th spawn he gave me the sheild. Good loot for a 2 hours job. He was coning green to blue and I am a 14 lvl druid.
So I figured he is between 10 and 13.

The bum (Warning: My story. Long)

Last night I was messing around in Crushbone with my level nine Wood Elf Druid. I went up to the hill to see what the Centurions conned to me. One of the centurions by the fire conned blue, the other green. I took the blue one out, and luckily none of the others in either corner trained on me. A little later I went up there again with the same situation. Dropped the blue. This time, though, I sat to meditate. When getting full health and mana, I walked back up to take another look. Much to my chagrin, the trainer (conned yellow) ran straight at me. He started pounding me, and I knew I didn't have much of a chance in straight-up melee. I kept trying to get a root off, the outcome being several interrupted spells. I finally did root him, and backed up to nuke. I casted quite a few Ignites (surprising that root held so long). Root finally broke, and he decided to take a little stroll (health was low, he was trying to run away). My mana was too low to get a damage spell off, and for some reason I couldn't get an uninterrupted snare off. He walked ALL the way around the hill, to the front of the castle. This is when I started getting worried, because Legionnaires would drop me in only seconds. After a few more seconds, I lost him. I stopped and looked around, and he was walking around near the pits and to the back of the castle. By then, his health had returned to a sufficient level, and he turned and ran back at me, bringing company. His company was a high cent and a slaver (which conned red). Fortunately for me, there were others around to help me. We dropped the three orcs after a little, and my health bar was *really* low. Trainer gave me such trouble, and I didn't even get the shield. I think his loot was a cloth item or rusty weapon..can't remember. Whatever it was, the loot wasn't worth it, but the experience was pretty good.

Dare you say that this is a lie? It's not. =P

The best strategy I can offer is... ROOT HIM!!!! the snare will hold up about twice as long as a centurian(whitch is wierd being he is lv 10-13
note he DOES get to lv 13 once in a while I have a lv 13 druid and he conned black NOT blue. although I can't take him out in a "fair" fight I root him then pound the pulp out of him with spells! when he's got about 25% hp he comes undone and starts hitting me I can then take him out in a "fair"lol fight. only think you have to watch out for if you are a rooter is poping cents all around (for some reason if I am killing the trainer green orc cents will hit me if I am not killing him he will ignore me if anyone knows why green orcs hit me PLEASE TELL ME!!!!)anyway back to the story and they are NOT rooted they sit there and mess up your spells till he unroots I say if orc cents pop in and start to hit you DO NOT SIT THERE AND FIGHT THE CENTS OR THE TRAINER HE WILL UNROOT AND COME AFTER YOU!!!!you can only do that if you can kill him in a fair fight...
shiny brass shield
