#Anonymous, Posted: May 20 2001 at 12:04 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) The festering hags are half-***** #%#%@. Can't wait til I'm high enough to take em. We were just having a guild raid there once at Unrest, and as a Rogue as a master in sneak and hide, and would scout around and look for something good to pull. Then when I'm running around in there looking for something, I see a festering hag run by me. I was like, what the hell? So I went after it just to see what it conned to me (it seemed to be still running). Then just when it conned red to me, the ***** turned around, saw through my sneak and hide, I believe I hit me once or twice, and then casted spell on me which like drained like all my HP.
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 18 2001 at 11:56 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I think they should rename them festering w-h-o-r-ebags. Its not that they are that hard... they are like the casters in MM will sappers etc. Just that unrest is full of crap constantly. Its pretty hard to get just one.... but can be done if you know how.
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 17 2001 at 6:42 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) With The possible exception of that gnome necro i never bothered to fight, these hags are the toughest mob in unrest. The strategy is simply to kill them before they kill you. Tell your cleric to stop healing and start smiting.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 09 2001 at 12:03 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If you have a Cleric in your group, forget the smiting spells and go striaght for the undead spells, he should have smiting memed only to use it, while the undead spell re-cycles.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 04 2001 at 5:36 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) For a Paladin, these things are easy as pie. Sometimes I can even solo a hag--provided that my dex is buffed. All you've got to do is have a Ghoulbane (Belay the whole "Not everyone has a GB!" schlop, because I'll give ya a way to do it without. =) Anyways, if you've got a GB, and you've got about 100 Dex, all you've got to do is hammer away on her. Keep LoH charged just in case, and equip a good sheild--my favorite is the Crested Mistmoore Sheild for it's +Dex. If you're Level 30 and up looking for some easy EXP or her gossimer, then keep her stunned and bash away. Otherwise, just keep bashing whenever she begins to cast. You'll need to do it very quickly as her force Strike spell is pretty quickly fired off.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 24 2001 at 7:25 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i play a hafling rogue, when i was lvl 18 me and a full group of about the same lvl (all under 20) OWNED one that had trained to zone.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 11 2001 at 4:12 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) BS man thats all i can say BS i got whacked by this w-h-o-r-e with a 22 warrior and i had pieces of cobalt a wurmy a lammy and a group with 3 healers so dont tell me u killed her (also had 1096hp unbuffed) and I WASNT A TWINK LOL
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 24 2002 at 3:28 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Yes, just like the full suit of SS for that lvl 1 Bard over there.
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 15 2001 at 10:29 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You weren't a twink? How at 22 did you have a wurmmy, a lammy and pieces of cobalt then?

Lvl 18? You were just lucky, I am a 35th circle Necro, and lemme tell you, a rogue alone stands not a chance against one of those unless hes lvl 35+, and pulling only ONE mob outta unrest is one hell of a tough business. As for myself, got jumped by 2 of those, and lucky I could Charm one, cuz I was in for it! Thats my 2 copper.

At level 34, these hags become EASY. With two blasts of expel undead (the first being the pulling cast), and a couple of hits in melee, they are easy and quick xp. Also, have endure magic, resist fire, and resist cold. They help against the one spell that she will get off. The lightning spell can do an easy 250 hp damage, so be sure you can kill her quick.

#Anonymous, Posted: May 31 2000 at 3:12 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok. I spent about 7 lvls in unrest and went back recently at 32 to get DWBs. I have seen many hags. They're DD is for about 200 dmg. They are easy to interrupt and have super low hp.
Fear?
# May 26 2000 at 10:35 AM Rating: Default
Fearing a Hag in Unrest, one of the worst pathing zones in the game. Are you nuts. Yeah maybe you'll kill that hag, but then you'll have to zone, when 5 others with their werebat, and GDB friends come down on you.
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 05 2001 at 7:31 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) if you fear a hag she cant cast
#Anonymous, Posted: May 06 2000 at 7:22 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) A necro can solo this mob real easy. Get a pet and give him a shield and a fast 1h weapon preferrably a sword or spear. Then initiate the battle by casting fear on her and get off all your DOTs while your pet is smacking her down from the back. By the time she is unfeared she won't be able to cast because of your pet's meleeing and bashing, and you can join in the melee if u want. Just suck her hp if she starts hurting you.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 21 2001 at 12:09 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You're an idiot if you give your pet shields past lvl 24 or 29 or whatever level they get duel-wield
#Anonymous, Posted: May 11 2001 at 1:46 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Actually, it's even easier than that. Since a recent patch, the delay of the weapon you give your pet doesn't matter!! So, if you're a necro or a mage, you can give your pet a high dmg weapon, and he'll still hit just as hard. =)
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 06 2000 at 7:14 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Melee them, i remember doing well against them at lv15, if you are a warrior dual wield them, small groups can take them quite easily.

#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 25 2000 at 2:14 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i'd say more like 200 but P. Pretty sure person might be thinking of tormented dead same img. Lol festering hag would kill a 15 in 2 spellz )
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 31 2000 at 1:39 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) they are very easy to kill, i am lvl 24 warrior and had a buff on so i had 1001 hps. with full health i killed her and lost about 3 bubbles of health. i looted a festering cloak, anyone know what they r worth????
nasty l'il buggers
# Mar 26 2000 at 10:16 PM Rating: Decent
These chicks are *fun* to fight. not. all are blue to me at lv32 and i still hate em because with 60 magic sv is take full dmg about 70% or the time. I have 942hps and a full dmg nuke takes dang close to 2 full bbls of my health =/
As if that isnt enough i was in unrest about a week ago and decided id kill the barkeep. i got him al the way down to 1/5 health and see
"A Festering Hag begins to cast a spell"
"An Undead Barkeep is enveloped in flame"
"A festering Hag..."
"An Undead Barkeep feels much better"
ACK! 1/2 hps again. Uh oh. buh Bye Carrek..ran ,like hell.
best tanked by a Pal with a Ghoulbane and backed by a wiz or lvl 29+ only then do they go down nicely without the very unnecessary ruckus.
the have the wonderful ability to group up and wipe a warrior back to Gfay faster than your cleric can react.

uh?
i dont know who healed the barkeep but it was definitly not the hag
I doubt someone healed the barkeep because i never saw a cleric mob in unrest all my life and i fought there with all my 4 different characters
She's a wizard for sure
# Mar 25 2000 at 6:19 PM Rating: Decent
I spent lots of time in Unrest, and I remember the hag's force shock all too well. She's definitely a wizard. A full group of low 20's can take her easy, just focus on whacking her and interrupting her spells, and have a cleric for heals in case she sneaks a spell or two in.

Excellent conclusion!
Charmed Hags
# Mar 23 2000 at 1:33 PM Rating: Decent
I once charmed one of these hags for about 7min. and she was soloing the ghost and kicking its butt(with a little help from my spells). She was hitting for 68 very consistently and casting like a wizard. Just make sure you're in a group when you charm her.

I do not know what the name of the spell she used, but, a hag hit me for 670 points damage in 2 seconds. Instant death and to think she she was a blue creature
Hags
# Mar 23 2000 at 2:46 AM Rating: Decent
Regardless of what this page says Hags are not enchanters but are Wizards who use a Force shock...shock of inferno...shock of frost combo often and melee for 40-60 average...they drop Cloaks about 80% of the time carry about 4gp - 4pp loot change wise and the occasional FS or gossimer item...Goss sleeves and mantles seem to be the most common
WEAK MELEERS?
# Mar 20 2000 at 5:50 PM Rating: Decent
Sure, they may hit a little low for their level, but they hit for about 60 or more.
RE: WEAK MELEERS?
# Apr 05 2001 at 7:36 PM Rating: Default
they are weak melees
i foúght hagz with 2 tank classes, war and SK, so far and I must say, they may hit for little more than a GDB, but they dont usually, they hit slower than the darkbones and most of the time around 20 dmg, while the darkbones hit mainly in the mid 30s and land FULL damaging htis for like 55 much more often than the hag hits for 55+
Loot
# Mar 01 2000 at 11:00 AM Rating: Decent
Loot sincearly sucks from the Hag. Shes almost never camped since she's a pretty hard kill with no god loot whatsoever.
Loot
# Mar 01 2000 at 11:00 AM Rating: Decent
They also sometimes drop a Globe of Mist for Mage quest which begins in Temple of Solusek Ro.
Gossimer Robe
# Mar 01 2000 at 11:00 AM Rating: Decent
Hags rarely drop Gossimer Robes as well. AC 8 for caster classes
No Subject
# Mar 01 2000 at 11:00 AM Rating: Decent
Use EXTREME caution when fighting these guys. They have wizard spells of the appropriate level and use them to full effect. Special care should be taken when pulling being they can burn a puller down in a hurry. The best way to fight them is to melee them and keep them constantly stunned so that they cannot cast. They are pretty weak meleers and do not have a ton of HP. They occasionally drop a Festering cloak (necro only).
great for druid xp
# Feb 24 2000 at 5:18 PM Rating: Decent
Get fully buffed with wolf form (given) resist fire, resist cold, endure magic, skin of steel, your coat, shield of XXXX. Half of these cast fire based spells half cold based. Harmonize the basement or tower ( if not camped...;) and pull out of aggro range. A good spot in basement is hallway, although watch ppl pulling or you will catch their pull or interfere which isnt nice. Any combust combust greater heal combust combust good xp on 3 bubbles of mana while porcupining them. They drop fine steel and rarely gossimer pieces. The cloaks are very common and only fetch a couple gold at vendors.
Hag Loot
# Feb 16 2000 at 10:22 AM Rating: Decent
Hags have a chance to drop all pieces of gossimer. And as to melee, they can hit for 40 consistently when they land swings. Festering Cloak is also dropped a good bit (AC 5, +10 hp & mana, -10 SV Disease & Poison, I believe).

Ouchie, if you don't have good magic resistance these gals can hit you from the cheap seats. And even with full buffs cleric and druid buffs, this pally still gets taken down to half health by one of these critters with good armor at 29th lvl. I have personally found the best way to take one of these ladies out quick is to get her out into the open and kite here while a wizard blasts her, keeps her from casting on you, since it interupts her casting and it gives you time to hit her. Plus the wizards are usually more then happy to let you have the money so long as you give them the gosimer.
