OK he has around either 2100 or 2300 HP, depending on if boil blood does 400 or 500.
At 30 with SoW my necro was able to solo him, though i did go oom and was low on life...i hit him with 3 shots of boil blood, 2 dooming darkness (200 dmg), 2 hits of 132 dd, a 120 dd, and then a 160 dd. He doesn't like fear from a 30 necro, and resists my 34 chanter friends version often, so fear kiting is hard. Also my pet died early in battle because i messed up, so if you keep pet from taunting you will do better.
Me, 30 necro, and a 34 chanter took him easy..i used dooming darkness to pull, then hit with boil, and heart flutter (just to throw another dot in) and chanter just feared and did a few DD's

hes the easyist of the gaurds hes killable by lvls 47 and up many people loot him

He can be killed by 35s

Just a FYI, I was able to kite Halv with my lvl 33 druid but was OOM at the end of the fight and sometimes had to med during. At 34 I have very little problems with him and he's yellow so he's great exp!

Another way to kill him is a tank/healer
Im a 30 warrior and with the help of a 32 druid we killed him twice pretty easily.Hits for 90 so
we only used a dot and used rest of mana for healing.He runs away once he gets down to a bubble.I did manage it using me and a 30 druid,though I almost got killed,I ran for zone having 50hp left and the guard did something weird,instead of chasing me and slayin me,he ran off! Druid told me to come back and I killed him with two crippling blows.Very Very nice exp even for level 30.Drops Short Swords and Sheild and up to 5 pp,Shiney Card and some ringMail(RARE).

If you have a choice between *ANY*guard in steamfont pick HALV! he has the LOWEST resists of ALL of them and gives the same exp, Dreeb is the hardest IMO

These guards hit hard and fast - but thet are awesome XP which is why everyone kills them.
I will tell you the real reason why everyone likes to camp Halv. Understand I might catch heat for letting you all in on this secret, but here it is anyway:
