i solo these thing with my lvl5 nec very easy
On very rare occasions these will con as level 7.

For the last week, my low lvl ench has been rackin up "Odd Kobold Paws" from the shamen. Are these the same as the Shaman Paws? I have yet to seek out the cleric that rewards you for these.
The "Odd Kobold Paws" are the correct ones to hand in.

heh, started my monk on Rallos. Got him up to 8. Went to crush, but skull and bones had settled in, GRRRRR, they were camped on both sides of the zone an going to town, anyways, so, i got my 5 belts, sold em, an jogged over to Steamfont. Remembered this camp, cause tehy liked to kill my gnome cleric ( be singular, be cool, be unique ). so, started wompin up on em, they begged to be killed, but i let em run, then chased em down with shurikens.

Has anyone seen both the Steamfont and the Toxx. shamans? They look very different, the Steamfont ones are much bigger and are different colors. Maybe this is just since they don't drop paws.

Killing them is not too hard, but be aware that they are very resistant to the necro's poison and disease spells.

i killed a lvl 6 shaman with my lvl 4mage and my pet it was easy

these guys are easy, my erudite necro who is lvl 4 and his yellow pet killed a watcher a sentry and a shamen all at the same time, they were all blue though

Bash is the best thing to use when fighting anything that can cast. Instead of using it whenever you can, keep it ready. When your enemy's hands start to twinkle, bash. If it hits, the spell will be interupted. It makes those even magic cons feel a lot more even.

These guys aren't always lvl 4 I encountered one at the first camp that was lvl 5 and another that was lvl 6

Killing Kobolds, at least in Steamfont, gives one faction hit - "Your Faction Standing with Kobold has gotten worse."

For many players these Kobold Shaman will be their introduction into how wrong caster NPCs con, way too low.
