Shakrn Meadowgreen is in the Southern Plains of Karana at the Centaur Stables, #4 on your EQ Map. His location is p100 & n2210, also Ulan Meadowgreen is right next to him.
Where is he located plz?
Are Iksar KOS?... I mean, I know we have the WORST faction in the game, but if they're not connected to any faction does that mean Iksars are not KOS?... and what about shadowknights.... whew... who would have thought faction would be such a pain in the *****

Just a note for u druids -- harmony works well on these guys -- i usually harmonize ulan (even though he doesnt join) which catches the critter next to him -- then harmonize Julan (who is much tuffer than Shak and resists more) then pull shak with snare -- head west and try to root because even snared he dont give much time for the longer casting spells -- fury of air and firestike seem to work well.

If you kill him after a few people (or you) do some of the crafted quests, he will have a few of the gems from those quests on him. After I got the gaunts from him, I killed him and looted back one of my two star rubies, as well as a sapphire. Killed him when he respawned and he had nothing.

I never killed him because I thought I may lose beta-neutral faction that is shared by most quest NPCs. I know centaurs do not have faction, but sure Shakrn does not have quest NPC faction?

killed Shak twice with my ranger...he is blue to her...got hit for 70 like twice in both fights maybe...on 3rd go he hit me hard early and i was hurt...he kept resisting snare..i tried root and it held..he doesnt seem to shoot arrows at you luckily...anyhow i skulled a sow potion and fled for my life to the nk zone hehe....ranger lives to play another day

I am a very proud Troll warrior, but I have very little time to get all these things just to die when I walk into this place. Are trolls KOS to these guys?

No one is KOS to the centaurs. Funny thing is can kill them round the **** with NO faction hits.

He gives great experience up to 41, solo...other wise he's a great kill. BTW, it's not possible to have bad faction with Ulan Meadowgreen. He is indifferent to all races, classes, and religions, and there is no faction hit for killing centaurs.

Beware to the magic resitance of this mob, you will have surprise if you are in group at level 30 and you want to kill him, and remember he has SOW, so forget to escape by a run.

Ulan is his brother but merchants don't join fights unless you have bad faction with the merchant.

At 36, when I killed Shakrn, I just had to make sure that the other 2 spawn points (not Ulan) didn't contain Coursers or higher, or they'd join in. A good idea is to kill those two spawns until they spawn archers or lower, then go on to Shakrn. Also, it's considered polite to wait for people to make their crafted before killing Shakrn, but only if they're ready to do so when he spawns.

Try to be nice and not kill this guy if someone's there doing the Crafter Quest. Otherwise, be careful of his friend Ulan next to him, who is a merchant, but gets very upset weh n you kill his friend

Note: Ulan does not interfere if you attack Shakrn, as Ulan is a vendor. I personally have killed Shak many times with never a worry about Ulan. It similar to killing the Aviaks that spawn next to the Aviak vendor Krak.
