Done at 82 with a partner and one merc

I am a SK 82 with TSS gear (30k hp, 4400 AC, 700 AA) with a j1 healer. I took out the fabled triloun in the entry way, which was a tough fight, but I did not have to use HT, LT or disciplines besides carapace and the epic click.

A friend (SK 72) joined me a bit later and when the razorfin finally showed up we killed him in about 2-3 minutes. He hit me for 4,1k at most (usually far less) and the most annoying thing he does is to summon you. Being summoned means you are at the floor of the cave and cant see him until you can find him again above you.

As far as I can make out the spawn cycle, it is like this: a large piranha can spawn in place of a reef piranha, and the named can spawn after a large piranha went down. We got our first after 40 minutes, and the second 2 hours later. Not a superfast camp, but there are far worse :)

The sword proc is nice and I had a pet (or two) up almost all of the time when I used it. The little guys hit for up to 369 (I have no pet AAs to enhance them) and tripled often.

At his second death he also dropped the Fabled Coral Headed Mace, which should be on Gigadon according to Zam and is not listed among his drops.
Killed it this morning

85 ranger with HoT T1 (Bazaar) gear. Under 1500 AA's. T1 healer merc. Sucker does hit fast. Used WS until epic slowed it then just Dotted with 3 fast DoTs and burned as fast as I could. Was close a couple times. Just wanted folks to know a very casual toon can take him out. GL :)

This guy is one of the tougher mobs of the swarm pet weapons. He generally hits between 4-6k, which doesn't seem that tough until you throw in the flurry factor. This guy flurries like crazy... Probably every other swing brings forth a flurry. Even when I slowed him, he still seemed to hit really fast. I'm a 4.4k / 33k ranger and he pwned me about 4 or 5 times before I finally got him down.
After Patch

This is one of the swarm mobs that benefited from the hotfix the other day ago. We spent a good 3 hours camping this mob for 3 nights in a row. After the hotfix, had him spawn twice in two hours. He does indeed spawn in the first big room from the zone in. What we did was clear everything in the room then waited..

Indeed, where does this guy spawn? I'm guessing the first room, where most of the piranas are located.

As far as I have seen so far, this mob is the toughest out of any of the "soloable" or "groupable" new mobs. He hits for generally between 5500 and 6500, and flurries like crazy. His speed, even when he is slowed, can drop a 32k ranger from 100% to about 30 or 40% in about 3 seconds. I have yet to solo him successfully, though I did drop him to 9% last night.

How much ac do you have? What kind of merc?

Personally, I have camped this guy for about 8 cycles AFTER the patch went live to fix the spawn rates, and I had no issues soloing him, as a 85 SK. Then again, im 27khps and 4.9kac unbuffed. So it's a gear thing, probably.

On me, he hit for 3.5k, max, MAYBE (didnt really pay attention, honestly). With a T5 cleric merc and my gimpy pet, I managed to make sushi. Found the spawn rate to be really nice too, and so I stayed down there and helped 4 other SK's get their pet proc swords.
