Warlord Skarlon
a rare creature
Perhaps the hardest single fire giant, Warlord Skarlon is "a melee class's best friend". His (very rare) sword is considered by some to be the best non-planar weapon, and the two pieces of Mithril armour that he can drop are very good as well (Legs and Vambraces).
For those who are looking for the Mithril Breastplate, it is carried by the Kobold Priest (also found in Solusek B).

Skarlon is located in a bedroom just NW of King Tranxx's throne room. Location is -1450, -350. I don't know if he always spawns there, but that's where I found him.

could a 64 druid almost 65 druid solo? the un fabled version since they stoped poping

67 necro with 360 AA's can solo all the way up to Nagafen, including Warlord Skarlon.
Warlord has a friend (Fire Giant warrior usually) in the room that would probably make it tough on a 64 / 65 Druid to solo.

Fabled version is a bad *** mob I'm told, quads 1800s. Drops Fabled Razing Sword of Skarlon.

um ran into this guy with a group time geared friends plus my 50 mnk just collecting fabled gear for alts(mines including).65 wiz 65 2.0mnk 65 pally 67 shammy plus my little 50 mnk.we downed the king, we downed the beetle , in short we downed all the fabled before the FGs.well they wanted to see if i could solo an FG so in i go took one down (help from wiz)we wait in the room and all i see is skarlon with the nice fabled tag.im thinkin O SWEET ANOTHER TROPHY .....WRONG.this guy drops the mnk then i yell for every1 to evac.well i tend to yell evac when i go to cb on my main buffing any1 passing by with some of these guys.....they thought this was one of those times before they saw the nice eq logo and loading plz wait screen.i fd and just watch um making fun of every1.he rolls bak and i see the enemies have forgotten u bit and stand up making my way to the bridge guess who i see behind me......ya.summoned i fd/mend.well i keep goin till i decide ***** it and decide to go down fighting...fabled skarlon hits you for 1600....skarlon hits you for 980 ...skarlon hits u for 980....loading please wait...*sigh* *petition gm* got bods bak(i want that little summon stik)full rez we dont go bak.the end
Skarlon Dropped a Mithril Mask Last night. AC +5, +7 WIS, +7 INT. Effect: Improved Damage II. We gave it to the party cleric.

FYI: Warlord Skarlon has ~18k hps. Hits for ~150's.

I don't consider myself much a twink but i'm lvl 44 orge warrior with full crusty minus the helmet, spider fur clock belts and colar lammy and centi ss, upgrading to ls. And with all that sta i still only have 2.2k hp how the hell do all of you have so much hp and good resis ?? to take on nag lair?

Na, I am a gnome warrior, and I had more HP than that at 38 with mediocer gear. Matter of fact, I think I had more HP than that naked, but I wont swear too it.

Hate to break it to you but if at 38 you have 1255hp then your not much of a twink. at 44 my warrior, who's not twinked, has 2012hp's unbuffed...

So theres always some but# heasd that think hes better than everybody else. its just stupid, hell my SK had that many hp at 44 lvl, and hes not twinked either so just shut up pls spamhole.

Arms and Legs seem to be a 50 50 drop. Sword seems to be only like a one in ten or one in twenty drop.
Skarlon is always lvl 53, but since he doesnt harmtouch and have pet, he is slightly easier than the lvl 52 king. He is a warrior tho, so has a lot more hps than trannix. Just slow him and yer fine. If yer lower than lvl 55 I suggest chain rooting him first before slow or you will most likely die.
My warrior will still run up and grab sword even tho hes a lizzie =) Sure it dont have great stats but it's hardly a terrible weapon. Like verant says about a lot of things : It has its uses.

They should require a driver's license for EQ players to keep out all of the 11 year olds. Who else would say such a moronic thing? Adults don't waste time bad mouthing things like this sword. Especially since the sword is really rare and not bad at all.

The Razing Sword is NO DROP...no twinking with it...besides its so rare and it takes so many people to kill this guy and his friends that usual a warrior or someone who needs it will get the sword

a 25/30 2hs is very nice, and there arnt no 500 better weapons.. let me think.. theres a 30/40 2hb, a 28/45 2hb, a 37/48 2hs, 34/46 2hs and a 32/40 2hs (all may or may not have other stats)
now overall , people would prefer other weapons than the 25/40, but that is a very good ratio, 10 delay better than the execut axe.

He took the longest of any of the FG's to take down, but didn't kill anyone, and was easily pulled alone.
