My guild is raiding this place and we need to kno if we could take and hold this place for a decent period. We have about 7players levels 40-50(most druids) and 4 50+(paladin, enchanter, 2clerics). Top that with our sister guild that goign with us(about as strong a guild). I need to kno if we could take and hold this camp and possibly any other camps around.

I know this is an old post so you have already done this but for future readers of this section in regards to the 'mostly druids' comment in your post, I was a 51 druid the other day when we did this and no matter what I threw on him it would get resisted, I tried all manner of dots and direct damage on him. In the end I just buffed and let the meleers do their thing.

After about 10 hours in this room we came away with 5 pairs of boots and 1 ring. Room pops every 24min. We did start off with two and a half groups pulling stuff from outside the room to pass the time, but the last 4 or 5 room spawns we just stayed in the room with 60 warr, 53 war, 55 rogue, 52 sk, 51 druid, 58 cleric, 53 shamen.

My Experiences
# Jun 11 2001 at 2:07 AM Rating: Excellent
I've spent some time camping the Efreeti for the eboots (i'm a wizzy). I've spent several hours on two seperate occasions camping him with a full group each time. The first time, the group consisted of me (45 wiz), a warrior, an enchanter, a cleric, a druid, and a monk (who had his epic). We kept the spawn easily as everyone but me was 50+. In the span of 3 hours Djarn spawned 3 times and dropped the boots everytime. The second time, an enchanter, a druid, two pallys, another wizzy, and myself camped it. We also had very little problems. (the point here being that a chanter is very neccessary unless you have a high powered group) The time on the spawn was approx 24 mins (23:30 I think the guy timing it said) and a PH (imp/lava guardian) spawns when Djarn didn't. The imps/LGs around Djarn's spawn will aggro if you attack Djarn/PH, so keep it clear if you don't want problems :). All in all, in about 6 hours of camp time, 4 pairs of boots dropped (no rings though). Djarn himself is easy to take, especially if you have the area around him clear and if you are camping in his room. He casts a magic based nuke (not sure what it was, he never hit me with it) and gravity flux (which isn't really a problem in his small spawn room). Also worth noting is that i got some pretty good experience in there, better then DL for sure :)

Anyway, good luck!
Agility versus AC
# Apr 30 2001 at 4:08 PM Rating: Default
I know that this isn't going to be solved here, but it should be noted that besides the agility AC that the ring gives, agility ALSO factors into how often one will dodge, parry and the like, giving an even further *effective* AC bonus, on top of the one that you see in our stats. Further, the fact that it is an additional 15HP higher than even Velium Fire Rings (6AC 65HP) ain't too shabby either. After this Thursday, my warrior should be wearing one proudly. :-)
#Anonymous, Posted: May 12 2001 at 11:02 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) 9 agi is pretty equal to 5AC, if not better. For the simple reason that it works exactly the same. The number of AC you get from agility depends on your level/skills. When my druid was level 30 approximatively, I sold my BCP, which had a lot of agi. Well my AC dropped 34 (AC on the BCP is only 13)

I believe that it is actually more like 1 AC for every 5 agility points. Although if you go below 75 agility, you will suffer a MASSIVE AC penalty. Nearly 85 with my pally now.

RE: 54druid
# May 05 2001 at 1:14 AM Rating: Decent
The Efreeti Lord's placeholder is either an imp protector or lava guardian, exactly the same type(and, according to our experience last night, relatively lower level) as spawn all around that area. It's sometimes difficult to tell (even when sitting right in the room and staring at where the Efreeti spawns) when the PH has spawned, versus other spawns in the room because of their large aggro range and very quick speed in attacking.
Ring
# Apr 25 2001 at 5:11 PM Rating: Default
AS for the AC vs AGI, hello? I mean really, have you all been on crack since birth? AGI means AC when you learn how to read, something which is a must when buying armor! Now if I have 1 AGI missing as a lvl 37 cleric (which means I don't often worry about being hit) I lose 3 AC; so if I had 9 AGI instead of my +6wis ring, I'd have a minimum of 27 extra AC and more like 30+ extra because of bonuses every 5-10 AGI. There is nothing else to say!
Fuzzy Math
# Jun 12 2001 at 4:03 PM Rating: Default
You're math is WAY off there. I'm not going to calculate it, but you're off a mile there. AGI's direct effect on AC is very small at higher levels.

No, you would not be able to hold the room clear let alone take on the efreet.

#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 09 2001 at 5:03 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Simple this cannot be soloed why... just look around IMP, lava guardian... good luck
RE: This cannot be soloed.
# Apr 14 2001 at 8:15 AM Rating: Default
You can solo the room easy if you spread out the spawns. Went up there with 5 50+, then the other 4 left and I stayed behind. If the respawn time is 24, you could try and get them to have 8 minutes between the 3 pops. I was 52 Druid when I did this, so it should be easier for a level 56.

random
# Nov 04 2000 at 3:43 PM Rating: Default
It is random whether the Efreeti or his placeholder will spawn. I camped him for nine hours once without a single spawn; the previous night he had spawned twice in a row once. Go figure. The boots are the "common" drop, the ring the rare drop.
Whats his spawntime?

Can anyone plz tell me his spawntime and how often he drops boots?
RE: Whats his spawntime?
# Nov 20 2000 at 4:57 AM Rating: Default
he or his ph spawns on a 24 minute time after his death, the good news his boots are the common drop and even better news he spawns a helluva lot more often than the AM in L guk does

# Oct 22 2000 at 6:37 PM Rating: Default
Hmm. Others seem to be luckier than we were. After nine hours, he spawned 5 times. Results: 3 rings, 2 boots. Very disappointing considering we were there mainly for the boots. Only one person actually wanted the ring.
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 09 2000 at 1:58 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) U might as well try to make love to Spiked Succulent then to either wait for the SOB to spawn or even hold the room

u insane? just get a raid 2gether prolly of your guild if you have a nicely put guild and pick a date. then RAID :). if boots are common drop then hell that makes it easier for them to drop.
Lucky us
# Jul 24 2000 at 5:51 PM Rating: Good
With an efreeti raid yesterday our guild walked away with four pair of boots in 6 hours...once he spawned back to back even...so I think the spawn rate is a little faster than twice a day.
RE: Lucky us
# Oct 10 2000 at 1:31 PM Rating: Default
We did a raid saturday, after we got in his room we were there about 10 hrs, left with 5 boots. Could have left with 6 but the last spawn didnt turn out so well, had the Efreeti adn a few mobs to deal with.
RE: Lucky us
# Oct 01 2000 at 8:06 AM Rating: Default
Yea that's a pretty damn good spawn rate you had there. Last time we did it we stayed 11 hours so we could get boots for each member of our group. The ph/freet spawns were: 17ph 6freet. Which, from what I understand, is not too bad at all.. except when we waited through 8 ph's :), and when we were waiting on the last pair (mine) and waited 6phs. 52ENC FRo Server

Whats the spawn time on the Efreeti? I heard somewhere that he only spawns twice a day...
RE: question...
# Oct 01 2000 at 8:08 AM Rating: Default
He or his placeholder spawns 24 minutes after being killed. He's not *too* rare of a spwan, I'd say he's an 'uncommon' spawn.

Yea and there was probably some 57 druid looking for his boots that he accidentially dropped on the ground because his son set it to auto drop =P i found a SMR on the ground one time, so i shouted that i found something, did anyone loose something. and if someone said i lost my SMR on the ground, id return it. they gave me 2k for bein honest even

isn't very good at all. get 2 plat fire opal rings - 5ac 55hp - best monk rings in the game right now (besides poa quests)
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 16 2000 at 6:04 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) What are you smoking? 5 ac is nothing for a monk. The stats are all that matter. Ever worn shiverback armor? The total AC on he whole suit is like 32. It jus has stats. 9 AGI and 80 HP is great. My monk would be wearing a pair of these if I could find another cept they're LORE and real rare hehe. Monks have never depended on armor to help them much. We jus want stats.

umm im a monk and you aren't speaking for me when you say "We just want stats" ....bleh F-stats im a AC HP's monk i dont really care much for stats, yes i keep them at an acceptable level but i would take AC over stats anyday on any item unless its some insanely high stats and no ac

you shouldn't be getting hit that much that you would choose ac over stats.

RE: The ring...
# Oct 28 2000 at 2:36 AM Rating: Decent
I agree with the original poster. I'd rather have 5AC than 25hp and 9agi. After all, agi is really just extra AC, and 9agi won't add up to 5AC. Plus anyone with 1200pp can get two plat fire opal rings. Why lust after something that isn't any better (probably worse) plus unobtainable for most?

o don't think so. agility is more than ac and it's 80hps. plus this thing isn't monk only u have to realize. casters can love this especially twinked ones. i know my enchanter could use one. plus those 55hps 5ac rings are cool but not as good as this, even with the extra cost
RE: The ring...
# Dec 14 2000 at 4:07 PM Rating: Default
bah go back under your rock 5ac 55hps is better for a MONK than 9 agil 80hps esp with two 5ac 55hps rings....if you want to put it that way then you are basically saying that a serpentine bracer is better for a monk than a vox or hero bracer since the serp has 9 agility bah ....stats dont mean jack go for ac ...
RE: The ring...
# Nov 03 2000 at 11:54 PM Rating: Default
9 agi will give you 4-5 AC so if you want the ac this ring still gives it. Plus 35hp
RE: The ring...
# Nov 16 2000 at 6:19 PM Rating: Default
Um, whats wrong with everybody. can u get the hps right? it's 80hps, not 25 not 35. and the agility is different with other characters. i put mithril bp on my war and then on my bard. it was 51ac for my war and 32ac for my bard. i love the mithril bp now. hehe

It's better than you think...

:P

um... peach? no that's wrong... lemme see...
