Lava Guardians guard the lava pool area that houses Efreeti Lord Djarn, and can act as a placeholder for him.

They are single-pullable by a 60+, along with the Imp Protectors. They do cast a damage shield on themselves, which can be very damaging if you don't dispell it.

They drop the following with approximate drop rates:

Various low-end gems (Pearl, Flame Agate, Jade, etc) - 50%
Essence of Fire - 20%
Jewelry - 10%
Charcoal - 6-8%
Russet Oxide - 6-8%
Caster Research - 5%

This thing hit my 45 monk for 2 straigh 90 and good thing was rooted and and ran to zone. Con white to me.

get chater to charm these then simply displel. Works a treat but no exp.

this mob is considered summoned and Anti-Summon spells work against it.

These guys are just tough. They deal 405 damage per hit, and cast ice comet every 3 seconds. If you see one, type /cheer five times really fast and you just might survive by being teleported to a hidden spot. In the hidden spot there is a monk named Grungo Grayfootmonger, who is KOS. He will auction a piece of cheese, for 50 plat. If you don't buy it right away, he summons an infinite number of beggars who will devour you with their level 49 pets. The pets look like trees. You've been warned.
