best place to camp this guy that i've found is on top of the hill accross from emlyxi (sp).....hes one of the roaming nocs in front of the hill by the tree.
Camp further down the hill closer to where the mobs roam. Camp just in front of the rock (rock to your back). Thangrel and PH will pop right in front of you. Mobs do not roam across that spot so it is safe to camp.

Tonight I got lucky. Thangrel was up when I got there. Popped 2 more times in 3 spawns. Finally scored a Somatic Sparkthorn of Kuua. :)

OK, I'll give you folks the detailed spawn info on this mob. Just like the other roaming named mobs in this zone, he has a fixed spawn point and a single PH. But once he spawns he wanders around.
His spawn point is +438, +149. And as you'll noitce, this is not near the castle...it is much closer to the bridge than the castle. Once he spawns he does wander up by the castle like others have said.
Easiest way to nail this guy down is to kill all the wandering nocs in that area. He is not one of the nocs that spawn and wander up real close to the castle, but he does path out in front of the east side of it (b/w the castle and the small hut).
The re-spawn time in this zone is about 11:45. So, kill all nocs you can in the area within this time, then go sit on the spawn point and hopefully you've already killed his PH. The noc that pops at this location is his PH. Now you've got him locked down. :+) Enjoy!
Oh, you also are gonna have to ignore the group up by the castle when they start /ooc trash talking you for taking "their" Thangrel. It is a misconception that the castle area is where he spawns. I set up camp for this on the wall up from his spawn point.

If your facing CoD castle ent, make your camp to the right, outside the castle wall all the way to the back. There is 3 Nocs on the hill to your left, pull and kill them 1st. Pathing issues at times when pulling from the field.
Thangrel's ph is a yellow Con Noc that paths exactly like him. Watch for a yellow con, Noc to path to the right of the castle. He will path right in front of your camp but not in aggro range. He paths back and forth from the entrance valley. "Naddik"s PH paths virtually the same way and is a yellow con " A Kyv".
Good xp but the spawn rates can be frustrating at times.
Its a good place to camp two spawns in one shot while standing on a flat surface.
Ive always hated fighting on a Hill or a Slope

Does anyone have a general PH for this guy? We have been killing in the above area for 2 days now. Getting very frustrating. Just want to see that he exsists rather than killing ph after ph after ph and getting nothing for our efforts.
