In between the frogs, and the golems, and the wandering ogre maniac who can kill you in 3 blows, is a spot. A prep spot. It's by a rock. And it's in between the Korascian sentinels and the golem area. I believe it is a safe spot on purpose. It might not be after this, but who knows.
Prep at that spot. There's a clay golem there. Say "Hi." and wave because soon, he will be a corpse.
Are you ready? Excellent. There's another golem that wanders around that area. He's kind of white and spikey. He's a Paladin Golem. I forget the name, and since servers are down, I can't really log in and look. Doesn't matter.
You have to be able to have enough firepower to kill that clay golem before the white golem comes back around. This is important, because he runs at mach 5 and when he adds, the best thing to do is just feign.
You can keep a pet up, but you won't be using it much. Pet DPS on these mobs is pitiful. I keep one up to fling at WG (White Golem) if he happens to add...giving me a precious 1.5 seconds to feign.
Root the clay and DoT it down. That's it. He might break root. That's ok, because he is snared, right? Back up, hit your root, and it's all good.
Root, might not stick, though, when it breaks. That's Ok too, whip around and see if Mr. Ogre is there. Is he not? Good, you got about somewhere beteen 2 seconds - 30 seconds before he walks down the path. You've got time. Back up into the path (where he paths) and decide if the mob will die in time, or if you should feign.
Now that it is dead, wait for WG to come back, root him and laugh as he tries to heal himself at 30 percent. It's hilarious. Check your clock, you got about 17 minutes before respawns. And believe me, clay golem respawning is not an issue. WG respawning behind your back, stunning you and one rounding you is an issue.
Now, you've got a (tight) kite spot. This is how I got my sentinels kills when I did the Rathe progression. Cleared a hole, drug a frog. Killed 2-3 frogs, hey, kitable area in frog country.
Exp is 16 percent of an AA a kill. 32 percent with lesson. I've also tried this with a cleric. At 8 percent exp with a merc, you might as well go do the golems (solo) outside of crystallos in Dragonscale hills. Same exp (8 percent), and a whole lot less deaths on your part.
I don't know how this would work for other root rotting classes. But it's how I burn lesson.
Cheers!
