These things not only come out of water, but they seem to like being out of it. I found a couple swimming around the edge of the trees near the entrance to Nariak.
Fight the ones on Nektulos.... they are like lvl 22 I think. they are very nasty. when they ganged up it was very nasty. It might be named somehting else please dont flame, but its still scary a fish is int he game near 24th lvl.
I've always been paranoid of swimming in any computer game, as I am deathly afraid of sharks or big nasty lurking thingys. I'm definetly NOT going swimming with one of those...
No they dont follow out of water, yes thy drop scales. I love to hunt the water Mobs. why easy escape.
1 go under and cast DD 2 get up on land but close to water so fish comes after you but cant hit you. 3 stay there and look at the fish. after 30 sec or so hell de aggro and swim back under. 4 go under again and hit him with 2 DD, hes dead and corpse near you. great exp. crap loot. -------------------------------------------- Lethaldose 18 Wiz innoruuk ===========================================
Incorrect. The higher level ones under the bridge in Nektulas Forrest WILL follow you onto the shore for a short distance. Additionaly, once you have goten their attention you will keep it until you log or zone. So do NOT attempt to med up on the bridge. The will hit you through it.
does anybody know if these drop fish scales? i need fish scales for my enduring breath spell. Kedge Keep zone is impossible without. If these dont drop, anyone know any vendors who sell fish scales?
These are also found in the Qeynos Aqueducts, but the level range shown is not correct.
The ones in qcat are around level 5 to 8 best guess. At level 9, I have yet to see one that isn't green to me now and a friend and I have been killing them since we were around level 5.
I killed these things with my 14 ranger and since they dont hit for much they are an easy kill for the exp you get. i would get over one half of a blue bar exp off of the blues. i recomend this to anyone in WC in the 10-14 lvl range. Watch out for those dark elves sometimes they are dragged out there.
If I jump in the river in Nektulos and attack one, will it follow me out of the water? I've seen someone kiting a baracuda in Lake Of Ill Omen, but they were running around in the field OUTSIDE the water. I don't want to jump in the river and smack one of these only to end up having it biting my *** all the way to the EC zone.

don't try to beat on one of these mothers in nektulos. and i thought my lvl 10 necro is enough to slain one... well i was wrong... and one more thing..... learn that swimming skills and breathe under water spells cos you're gonna need them. :)
Sadly to say you cannot nuke the fish from out of the water, i tried something similar in Oasis. I have learned that unless you are both in or out of the water all you do is make a spark and waste mana.
Actually if you get close enough to the shore on some parts of the lake you can get your head above water and can still hit them and they can hit you but you don't have to worry about air.
I just thought I would second what Uthor said. The same mob can be significantly different in different zones. For example, my level 29 magician killed a Crushbone orc legionnaire in Lesser Faydark that conned blue and gave experience. Inside Crushbone, my level 18 paladin is hard-pressed to find a lego that cons blue.
Okay, For those of you who havent figured this out yet. Creatures change from zone to zone i.e. the skeletons in Ferrott are levels 4-6, while the skeletons in Steamfont are level 8-12. So the piranhas in the aquaducts might be oh, 7th level while the ones in Kithcor are 10th to 14th. Thats why you really need to con everything before you fight it, or else you might get into a little more trouble than its worth
