The Gnoll names in the zone are not always dropping fingets like they used to. It just happened in the last few days.

This is an excellent spot to access a number of good spots in Old Black Burrow. If you have the 3 solo quests from the darkpaw quest givers out in OGH, then you can pull mobs from a static spot right in front of the Brewmaster spawn point with no wanderers. So far, in my running around OBB, Brewmaster Drachty has been one of the easier named to access. He drops the fingerbones (if you have the quest), and there is another named spot behind where I set up camp (enraged berserker is the PH) on little island with bridges connecting it. This has been a very safe spot for me to pull to, and finish off quests.

As far as the Brewmaster goes....I have not noticed any issues with his AE stun. I box with a 77 Druid w/tank merc and 77 Enchanter w/cleric merc and never noticed at any time being stunned. My Druid has had to help occasionally with back up heals to the merc cleric, but not that often. In probably a 1/2 dozen kills, all he has ever dropped for me is his 1hb.

As a level 82 cleric, epic 2.0 and about 17k mana, with a tier 3 mercenary tank did I manage to kill Drachty. Used about 80% of my mana before it was over. I did whatever DPS I could with the cleric and kept the merc up primarily with Elixir and Delayed CH, but had to patch heal quite a lot. Fortunately for me he dropped the fingers, which is what I needed.

I dropped him today as a lvl 80 mage with a 76 air pet and a journeyman healer merc, all self buffed. It was a bit of a close fight for me, but someone with more developed pet AAs could probably easily handle it (I have virtually none invested in pet himself).

Brewmaster hit me for between 1100-2300hp. He enrages at some point below 10%. He DOES summon.

The enraged gnoll brewmaster was the PH, and for the three or four spawn rounds that I fought in that area there were no wandering monsters.

He dropped the robe and 6 fingers for me.

They only drop if you have the quest that needs them.

Dropped" rel="external nofollow" title="">Barrelbreaker along with 6 of the fingers. Nothing adds if you just camp right in the corner where the mob spawns, easily duoable by a 85 Pally and 81 Mage.

There are two items with this name. Are you sure it was this version?

Side note: can anyone explain why there are two items with the same name, and how you obtain each one?

Looted the robe today, its not the no trade robe, the no trade robe is purchased with Void C access from Zeb, this one is attuneable

[Q]Tier 1
Archaic armor is a direct drop from nameds in the Oceangreen theme. The armor is attuneable and fairly weak, eclipsed by even the first set of armor from SoF. Once you gain access to Void B you can purchase a no drop version of the armor for Chronobines.[/Q]

My best guess is that the game assigned different item id's to the one that is dropped by mobs vs. the one that can be purchased with chronobines from Zebuxoruk in void b? They both have the same stats, picked the first one I clicked on. :)

EDIT - should have mentioned earlier, he also drops Severed Gnoll Finger x6 for the "Send the Message" quest linked above.

DOUBLE EDIT: Does not drop the fingers every time. :(
