Was camping alligators in the green water room for phat exp at lvl 30 with a 52 druid buffing me, had golem pop at the end of the green lake he hits hard and i agree with the fact that he is close to a Sand Giant as a 30 Paladin with ,Skin Like Nature, Storm strength,Chloroplast,Flame shield from a 55 magician and i could not solo him even with the Druid Sup Healing me , he hits hard and fast and the Mag had to sick his pet on him he popped 4 times while down there dropped gaunts once and the wand every other time, my 2pp worth save the wand for your duel bag :) comes in handy when you go up against the guy that got all buffed up before he dueled you and comes to his suprise when you Right click it and all his buff's go bye bye , Well good luck all you rogues that are after tis stuff and hope my 9input helps you out :) Zipper 20 iksar monk Seventh Hammer (MYSTICAL FIRE )

I camped him last night with a group. He popped 1 in 3 with his placeholders (champion, zealot, etc). Got the RS Gloves once and wand on 3 out of the four pops. What is the wand for and what is the effect of its casting?

I believe pillage removes 4 enchantments off the target. I also believe (w/o looking) that it's a lvl 44 enchanter spell.

I was told it removes DoTs and other spell like that, nice useful spell if you use it at a good time

Pillage Enchantment removes a spell or spell like effect. It's the same as the other dispell magic effects with a greater chance to remove the effect. I've been hunting treants lately and we've used it to dispell the treants' CC DoT. It also removes our buffs, requiring (sometimes) multiple castings of it.

Not sure about the recorded level of this guy. I have been fishing around Cazic the last couple days, and I have killed the Steel Golem three times. I got experience for him every time, and I am 51st level.

Fought there a couple of weeks ago for about 6 hours. Killed him 5 or 6 times. He dropped the gauntlets 2 of those times.

Anyone know roughly how often he drops the RS gauntlets as opposed to the wand?

Whenever I camp in the pools of Cazic, the Steel Golem usually spawns after an hour or so. I can't say for sure that the pool is its only spawning area.
The loot is (common a potion or something crapy), and (rare the Ravenscale Gauntlets).
He can hit for up to 90 at lower levels and has many hp's.

He is any where from lvl 35 to lvl 37 and he drops the Golem wand as comman and he hits usally in 80's and he alway spawns in the bottom of the end of the green pool but has place holders which are the Lizard champion and a Lizard Judicator and some times the Justicar. His spawn is random but he usally comes after about 2hrs or so but i have had to wait after he spawned anywhere from 30min to 4hrs for him to spawn agian.
