Zonewide message on event start in South Karana: "The aviaks have become restless and resent the merciless attacks on their village. They have called out their best warriors to take back their home."
Zonewide message on event end in South Karana: "The aviaks are satisfied for the moment, but are watching all visitors carefully."

Wasn't anywhere near the village and was the only one in the zone. I had been killing several aviaks in a row passing by for Quillmane. This triggered the event to start.

Spawns from event in SK, hasn't been much posted about it on allakhazam except for a few comments on the bestiary page for SK, but clearing the entire tower causes the aviaks to get all uppity and bring out their best warriors. There is a zonewide message stating something like "the aviaks are tired of the merciless slaughter of their village and have called on their best warriors for protection." This spawns 3 or so "Aviak Avenger" mobs, and around half-a-dozen "Avenger Darter" mobs. At least one of those mobs can drop an "Aviak Avenger Charm." Once the avengers are dead, or within a certain period of time, you get another message saying "The Aviaks are satisfied for the moment, but are watching all visitors carefully."
Aviak Avenger Charm: neck, AC +5 WIS +4, INT +4, AGI +5, DEX +5, hp +15, mana +15 end +15 SVcold +5 reccomended lvl 25 ALL/ALL
Don't know if that would still be active on a progression server as it was implemented in 2004.

I was alone in SK hunting rares when this aviak event started on its own. So I don't know what triggers it, because no one was near aviak village at the time. Approx 8 new aviaks appeared on track including about 3 aviak avengers. Event duration 16:42.

Saw the charm for sale in EC today. So yes it does run on Agnarr.
I just saw one for sale on Coirnav today.

Aviak Avenger event appears to have been added to the game sometime around 2004 (first mentions of it I can trace). The neck item is clearly better than original-era EQ gear design. I would suggest that it is an oversight that it is active on Timelocked progression servers, but perhaps deemed not worth the bother of removing. There are some suggestions that the avengers have a lockout on their respawning.
Any clarification, correction or new information on this would be appreciated.
