I had him at lvl 31 and 32, and a warrior apparently b/c he cast no spells.

He attacked everything he came across, spawned at -4350, -2659 and looked like he took different paths when I hit him with highsun a few times. Most were S or SSW, one west, but each time he went south it seemed he intersected with Grisok.

as he passed Splitpaw the Tesch Mas Gnolls destroyed him.

31 version was up as well as Sentry Alechin.

an undead cyclops
High Shaman Grisok
The Ishva Mal
Sir Nandruar
a treant x 2

I tried following his path but every time he fought he would deviate and go to a different point than where he as originally headed so I gave up.

...not any werewolf. This werewolf is Sentry Alechin's night time form, and drops the same locket accordingly. The listing is correct. This werewolf is in SK and only SK.

Way back in the day, I had one spawn at night at the static spawn site (where the furpaw cousins spawn). Scared the heck out of me and trained him to the guards heh heh.
Werewolf in Scarecrow Field
# Aug 07 2005 at 10:16 PM Rating: Decent
Was farming scarecrows with my level 16 Shaman at night and saw a werewolf on the southwestern edge of the scarecrow field in West Karana. Was hard to see at night and seemed small and maybe sitting down - I was too close to it I thought when I conned it - very red of course. Before I could move it seemed to despawn at that point. Guess I was just lucky. Must con everything there.

There Wolf!......in Kithicor
# Nov 01 2004 at 6:22 AM Rating: Decent
I just killed one of these guys in Kithicor at around 3am game time with my 22 ranger. i tracked him from the zone to WC, and found him standing next to a gnome NPC near a busted down building by the lake in the south eastern portion of the map. i think he cast screaming terror on me when my root broke, not sure, but as soon as it broke he ran back next to the NPC. he didnt attack him, he just stood there. i kept him rooted and shot the snot out of him until he was at around 35% health. then moved in to finnish him off.
Let me tell you; this guy is no joke. he conned dark blue to me, and was hitting me for up to 75 dmg a smack. he averaged around 30 to 50, per whack. he got me down to 79% health before he started to run. i pulled out my bow and put a few in his **** to finnish him off. didnt drop anthing except around 7 gold.
im looking for his claw and his pelt for the everfrost quest. If anyone can tell me if a werewolf in a diffent zone drops those items more frequently id apreciate the information. if not, i just hope my little experience helps anyone else looking for him. thanks. take care, and be careful with this guy.

A while back at night I saw one werewolf run from bandit camp in WK to QH zoneline.
RE: WK
# Jul 06 2004 at 7:22 PM Rating: Decent
My 14 Necro saw one spawn on the hill in WC between the undead tower and the dervish cutthroat camp. It was over the July 4th weekend.

He headed off in the general direction of the inn by the toll booth. Fortunately, I must have been just out of agro range (SW of the tower). I'd guess that you're OK if you're at either the camp or the tower, but you don't want to be in between if this spawn regularly there.
I hate them

Back in the day when i was level 16 me and a full group of six were camping the big bandit camp up on the hill for exp and we had a 44 Shammy to aid us... we camped there for like 3 hours and all of a sudden a WW pops right in the middle of our camp. Well, I had had a less than positive experience with a werewolf one time as I first entered the zone of WK for a corpse run, and I shouted to my group DON'T ATTACK, RUN! Well, of course, someone in my group thinks he's all over it so he engages the thing despite my warnings. Soon my entire group but me joins and then I figure, what the heck, so I do. No sooner had I joined that, despite the shamans healing, the impulsive groupie gets killed (the WW was dualing for like 55 each hit and was wailing really fast). The werewolf then turns to our other caster and, once again despite my best efforts of warning, and, finally, taunting, she goes down. He proceeds to kill the entire group except me, and the shaman (who was a friend of mine) had to intercede to save my hide. Needless to say, after my last groupie besides me goes down I bolted and everyone was yelling 'Ultor, guard my corpse!' Which wasn't easy because the bandits respawned after the shammy killed the WW.. and the shammy couldn't do much against them because he was almost dead from the fight...my advice... STAY AWAY FROM WW...SEE EM AND RUN!

Have a nice day.

Words of Cazic-Thule. Just took out a werewolf in Western Karana. Conned dark blue to my level 27 Druid and dropped this.
rare reason
# Jan 29 2004 at 7:42 PM Rating: Decent
One reason these are rare is that they aggro on everything.

I have seen one attack an elephant in SK. Before it attacked, it was sitting near the skeleton ruins down quite a percentage of health already.

As others have said, they have seen one attack a merchant.

Night time in game time -- coulda been midnight -- this Werewolf came into the zone from the QH zone line, took out an NPC and my ranger friend and I killed him. All it had on him was a locket and a pearl.
Night only?

The Karanas have oft been plagued by Werewolves and their lycanthropic state, and yet causes vary and few actually know why. Some believe the Bloodsabers, in their endless hatred of the persons who now posess sovereignty of the outlying lands, spread this plague, however there is some evidence that suggests that Mayong Mistmoore and Innoruuk could have had more of a hand in this than some would care to believe.

Mayong Mistmoore is obviously a devout lover of Werewolves and other kinds of lycanthropy, possibly stemming from the fascinating creatures known as "Drolvargs", which are a new breed of werewolves or, rather, Wolfweres (a wolf who takes man form or turns humanoid).

Perhaps it was Venril Sathir's grand son who created the first lycanthropes, possibly calling them the Tomar, and spread them across Kunark in an attempt to weave out terror and destruction with these new minions. Now it is indeed possible that Venril Sathir, after returning from his urn in which his son held him in an imprisoned state, learned of this technique, and taught it to his close ally, Mayong Mistmoore.

Mistmoore as you may or may not believe, is in fact the Maestro of Rancor, abducted by Innoruuk in a fit of rage after finding his ties with Lanys T'Vyl and his attempts to overthrow the dark god. Knowing his passion for music, possibly the only thing the vampire had left on Norrath, he forced him to become his own personal musician, to write horrific and gothic music for him in a manner most grotesque.

Mistmoore however is bound by soul to serve Innoruuk, and can do him no direct harm.

But back on story.

It is possible that Mayong Mistmoore took this new technique back to Faydwer and, after locating the gypsies in his castle, experimented with this new form of science that he dubs "lycanthropy". From there he feels that this is a fantastic new weapon and when the Knights of Truth come on their "Crusade of Tears" he plagues them with it, and forces their numbers to withdraw as their own people would turn on them at night.

This would explain Sentry Allechin's condition...perhaps he is a veteran of the failed War of Tears. Perhaps in an attempt to exclude themselves from society, the paladins who were infected fled to the Karanas, where they escaped often at night to terrorize the persons there, unable to realize it is indeed themselves doing it, and each time they nearly get a new victim, a new werewolf joins their ranks.

This is just my theory however.

I saw him last night, 12/30 with my 20 bard. Conned hard dark blue so wasn't the lvl 25 it says here. It was A Werewolf and not a lesser werewolf. I saw him and a kodiak fighting. At first I thought it was someone in werewolf form (boon) but when I got closer it was a real one. I waited for the bear to start walking (since the werewolf was kicking his butt). After the bear turned I started a dot song and fought him off the bear. He was hitting me good and when the bear started heading back to us, the werewolf took after the bear, finished him off and came back to me. I killed him and looted 9sp and the Serpent Insignia Collar.

I seem to remember that werewolf in WK being part of a quest. Where brother something-or-other wanted you to help his cousin from turning. I think you had to bring back his locket....Well I was a big help!

While fighting gnolls on Gnoll hill in South Karana, a Werewolf killed the gnoll, then jumped me. I don't know how rare he spawns there, but he does appear some.

I've seen the werewolf many times in WK. I've hunted a good bit there--mostly scarecrow hunting from lvl 16-20, and of course the occasional bandit farm. In that time, I saw the werewolf twice at guard tower 2, once at one of the shops where Innkeep Danin took him out. As a high elf mage, child of Tunare, I thought it was only appropriate to show Mr. Danin my gratitude--oh wait, forget I said that. Back to the wolf--I've seen him near the bandit farmhouse once, where he took me out at 16 in a few whacks. I was with a wiz who did a lesser evac. He made it out, I didn't, stuck with the wolf. Oh well, one more name on the revenge list. Then, we were hunting the bandit hill near the farm. Message: Werewolf hits YOU for 76 points of damage. I run, wolfie takes out the bandits--damn, less sashes for me, but oh, I can gate now. You have entered North Qeynos. Whew!

Now, I'm level 30. Come to WK from NK, and I meet with my wiz friend at the zone line. He lesser evacs us to the QH zone line. Werewolf pops right behind me, but no pet! Wiz blasts him, wolf runs to wiz. I blast wolf, he comes to me. Not the most organized operation, but hey, it worked! Werewolf down, and a whole 9 silver to split. Bazaar, here I come!

By the way, my faction with werewolf got worse. How do I fix that?
