I seen the Werewolf today, he was just by the Dervish camp. I do not believe the Halloween events have started yet.

Clearing some things up, this guy is NOT a GM Event/Haloween only spawn, i saw him inbetween the Derv camp and druid ring in WC, 2 warriors died fighting him but took a hell of a lot of health out of him.
From there i killed him (was 16 or so) and got mad exp.

I saw a werewolf yesterday in West Commonlands. It came up behind the guards at the toll gate. Thank goodness they ran back there and killed it.

I tested this many times. At 12midnight a werewolfe spawns near the zone to Queynos Hills, in West Karana. Hope that helps someone.

I did not see him at midnight today, anywhere near the QH zone. I was the only one in WK between 11p and 1a.

I had been jumped by the werewolf at the zone to Qeynos Hills in Western Karana a couple of times, and this evening I was on my way back to Halas and checked the time to see if it would show up again. A guildmate of mine informed me that the werewolf will spawn anytime between 12 midnight and 8 AM gametime. Sure enough, at 4 AM the werewolf spawned right at the QH zone and ran down the path straight to me. It still managed to hit me a few times in the mid-50s but with root, affliction, and envonomed breath I was able to take the edge off it and eventually kill it with little difficulty. It dropped the Serpent Insignia Collar, which I am selling on the Morell-Thule server if anyone is interested. My guildmate also told me that the werewolf's placeholder is a lion, so if you're waiting around the zone to QH and a lion comes running down the pass, the werewolf won't show until the next evening...

Can anyone give me a clue to these 2 items:
(1) Why is a werewolf an "animal" and what happens if my Druid has to defend herself against this monster (actually i will just die quickly at 14, lol)
(2) Does anyone know it there is a "form of werewolf" spell existing for a dark caster? A short while ago I ran into a player in werewolf form outside Kelethin bank -- he wanted to buff me but it wouldnt take there so we went to orc lift for him to give me one particular buff that lasted 3.5 hours-- was this a GM in special disguise or is this actually a spell that a really high level evil caster can have?

Umm, well you can always run like hell! And Enchanters get this spell at 25-40 i think, i found a werewolf at the ent from qyenos hills
There is Boon of the garou a 44 (?) chanter spell that gives 100 dex,a lifetap proc,and werewolf form. It is a very good spell for when you need to raise weapon skills

Not quite bull.
I can personally say that I've encountered one in West Commons not during a GM event or Halloween.
Had just TP'd into WC and immediately had one run past me. Back was turned to me so it didn't aggro. Unfortunately, I didn't get to kill it as someone took it down rather quickly while I was memming some offensive spells. This was about mid July '02.

well, this is where you are wrong. While Traveling thru qhills on way to WK, I met up with one in WK at the zoneline. There was no GM event, and it sure the hell was not a holiday or any other day. So before you get off on a tangent, get your facts straight.

Saw my first werewolf last night in WK, near the Ogres. Killed him pretty fast, but he didn't drop a single thing. I was pretty bummed for my first encounter with the guy, but I'll just try to get one again.

Everytime I hunt with my ranger (now level 11) in WK, I get one on my tracking screen eventually. I was once attacked and very quickly killed by one, so at night I always keep an eye out for them.
I have followed one, on a couple of occassions, that moves from the western area at the entrance to QHills, moving along an easterly path that takes it near to the 2nd guard tower. I followed it for a bit, and it appeared to just continue on its easterly path - attacking anything that came close.
I have also tracked one near the far eastern area - near the two buildings along the main road where you can sell and buy stuff.
I look forward to when I am a high enough level to take one on.

one ran up to me(22 bard) when i just got ported from LOIO to sell some stuff in EC. It was dark blue to me and maxed for 38. Pretty slow attacking, even easier with slowing song...Had it running at about 1/5 health left. no loot. Then some guy came up to me swearing and said "ERG" and i said whats the matter. He said hed been camping it for about a week )

My 29 lvl bard was near the eastern bandit camp when a werewolf spawned at midnight next to a tent.
He conned lt. blue to my 29 lvl character and agroed immediately. He died quickly and had no loot.

I saw it pop - and at first i thought it was a chanter. CLARITY - i thought as i ran up to hail my soon to be new friend.

Saw a werewolf on tracking in WK while clearing a bandit camp. (Was training weapon skills and bored) It conned dark BLUE to my 20th level ranger, I was really surprised. I thought about hunting it down but I was at 1/2 health (full mana). My luck, I didn't need to hunt it, it found me about 30 secs later. No choice but to fight...after a couple (38 DAM) hits and me down to half a bub health I decided to make a run for it root and run, root and run.etc...LOADING PLEASE WAIT
All magics stuck root/snare and I had it down to 1/3 health.

Has anyone dropped a talon off these things? The stupid Crafted Quest says I need a Talon off these suckers and not even a mention of in this site. Am I hunting the wrong mob?

Just killed the "rare" spawn in WC..light blu to 33..had 10 gold and a rune of velious..kinda disappointing since he killed me when i was at lvl 12. None of that nice loot described above.

I was sitting at the edge of the zone to Qeynos hills in WK today, and he spawned exactly at midnight on the road. Dropped some silver (which is odd, if you think about it...) anyway, I think he spawns in front of the QH zone at midnight. Correct me if im wrong

I jve a lvl 31 Sk in Wk hunting wWand aything else he can get his hands on and i have killed 5 of them so far and so far no god loot plus they all spaw blue to me and i have had no trouble killig them. Just wish they would give something good for a change hehe. Also they spawn from Mid-Nigt to 6 Am to be more specific about them.
