Ok..So I'm a 28 druid and saw that these guys dropped a bunch of cool sh*t for my mage. So I went down there, cast harmony, and tryed to pull a shaman. Ya...right...Well to say the least, harmony didn't work quite right. I pulled the shaman I wanted, a knight and chief gooda. Harm touch, harm touch, hit for 84, hit for 84, charmed, hit for 84....boom dead. In about 10 seconds. Well that surely didn't work....anyone got any suggestions, please post a reply. I'm a 29 druid, i've camped this place a fair bit. Only died once, when i accidentally pulled 2 guards, one with a pet. Oh, and HT sux hehe. I also hadn't bound nearby. Only suggestions are to a) bind nearby - the farm, or inn... whatever ya wanna call it south of the camp is fine 'less you're kos. b) Harmony, Harmony, Harmony, then Harmony again. Then, Harmony again. maybe a few more times for good measure ) I hear after awhile at this camp, lowering your faction, you won't be able to get close enough to harmony, guess i'll find out. But they're not close enough to be hit by the AE of harmony, so get 2 of the guards, then the shaman (unless she the one you want), and lastly goonda. If your first harmony(s) wear off by the time you pull you might be facing 2 - its tough but doable - unless one of the two is goonda. Don't have the rocks to try him yet, maybe when hes yellow to me.

faction issues are very true, after a few rounds of kills you will become kos to everyone there even in wolf form, so then you have the joy of clearing at least 2 of the guards out every now and then instead of just pulling what you want. i went kos i agroed a couple guards a shamen and the chief, i was encumbered, it sucked a bunch.

Just so you know, the Ogre Guards and Shaman are on RallosZek faction, Goonda has a more complicated faction. I dont remember exactly what, but killing him reduces what I assume to be the Ogre Shaman faction. You also get positive faction with 3 other groups I think. Prolly has something to do with quests originating out of Ogguk.....just my $ .02

I don't know about anyone else, but I've noticed a pattern of people getting killed because they think they have good faction with the Ogres so they, myself included, wander right into the camp and DIE!!! From now on I'm conning EVERY NPC in a camp to make sure they ALL like me and I hope everyone folows this example. Right now I'm in the predicament of having my corpse in the middle of the camp and no one to help me out. Good luck and happy hunting all.

I was lvl 29. I decided I was bored of killing giants in Kunark so I ported to N. Karana. I was walking through West Karana OMW to Everfrost and saw this Ogre camp. I decided to check it out. I inched close enough to con some of them and needless to say they did not like me. Well I moved around to the other side to con some others in the camp. Problem is I got just a bit to close and BOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!! All of them agro'd on me. I died in about 3-5 seconds or so. I say bring a group and make sure you have harmony. Cast the harmony from as far off as possible. I was a good ways from the camp when I agrod these guys. Good luck!

Same same!!! I too was bored in Kunark and had heard about this camp so I went exploring. When I found the camp, I conned a guard from a ways back and I was amiable to him, as well as the other guards. I was wondering if they were the same faction as the Ogres in Lake Rathe since I need them for my Totemic quests, so I inched forward a bit. Actually it was a bit too much cuz the next thing I knew, I was dead. Goonda aggroed on me along with the rest of the camp. I also pulled a major mistake by not binding nearby and had to grovel for a port from FV. When I got back to the camp, I saw my corpse laying right smack in the middle of the camp. So, I conned Goonda and he glared threateningly. I tried invis but when I conned him again he was still glaring, meaning he had spirit sight and could see me. I am now in a dilemna cuz I can't get my corpse without help, and the times I usually like to hunt is the time when WK is practically empty. I'm going back in tonight to see if I can track down some help. Wish me luck!! ;-)

LOL If you are smart, and know your abilities. I killed Ugrak Da Raider in TD solo at 25. He was white to me. And HE had a pet.
There is nothing in this game cons white or yellow to you you can't solo if there's room and you don't get jumped by other MOBs. People want to solo blues because they have no confidence. Heck, once I've learned the MOB I'll solo reds with a good pet.
Did it for 2 levels on TD, and loved it.

these same bracers also drop off The Great Oowomp, who is an ogre shaman in Timorus Deep. He is near the dock where you catch the boat to The Overthere. He is around level 34-35. He also likes to gate back to his spawn spot and heal up so keep him rooted.

Havent been camping this long, but I do know that Goonda drops the CBB. Only drop I have seen off Shamans is the Batskull earring. Havent seen anything else drop off Goonda either. If he doesnt drop CBB, he drops nothing...

Yes the CBB's still drop in that gorge place kill those evil eye things and u will get them i have got a couple.

Harmony works on them if you arent Threateningly or worst. When you reach the Threateningly con, this does not work anymore due to the aggro range they have, wich is far more important than the Harmony spell range.

Wolf form only modifies faction somewhat. And yes, you can kill them enough to where you are scowls even in wolf form.

Ok ya'll gotta remember where ogres come from. In short... They're stupid. They have the mentality of a 5 year old. With the exception of the smart Ogres (Oxymoron?). The Shaman is smart enough to know he doesn't like you and tells the others you're bad and to beat on you. Until that point they are just happy go lucky lil' guys who would drop their weapons to play patty cake with each other.

Ummm in order for Harmony to work you only have to cast it, it works as long as it hits the MOB and any MOBS near itjust because you don't see the Mez looking bubbly things around the target doesn't mean it didnt work, (trust me i know, long time of soloing Mountian Giants)

Nope don't think you can get within they're agro circle to cast it. Tried couple times to make breaking spawn easier and our druid was unable to get close enough just agro'd them on us anyway.

i hunted bandits for sashes yesterdaz when i get down from hill camp to sell in nearbz village such an shamane sit where normally the 2 bandits spawn!
it connec black(even) to me at 25 so i attacked it and think i would use mz LH but it was super easz to kill lost just 2 bub hp but it droppt nothing

From my personal experience as a Necro, if u can find a way to break the spawn my friend, you can solo anything that wont resist darkness or fear 10 times in a row, a good idea is to get a friend or guildy to mez them or single pull them for you, once the spawn is broke, be mana efficient and u should be able to take in with relative ease... i think. This is all speculation because i have never fought here... good luck, and may death, hate and vengeance guide your way.

I had a run in with them too. Found out that even though the Ogres con warmly, the high level one in the middle of them is KOS. So, the others assisted.

I was in west karana tracking a ghoul messenger, saw the ogres, and they conned "looked at me warmly" so I walked right through them, BIG mistake!
I was just lucky I had a group of level 50's nearby helping me, they aggro'd on me even with a good faction. At the time I was a level 23 Half Elf Ranger.

These things are damn hard to kill. They are also shadowknights with a nice harmtouch. I have seen full groups of 30's get wiped out by this group. In the middle there is a high level shaman from what I have been told. They are really brutal.

I have just camp r=them for about 6hours today and got a few good loot but only 1CBB and 0 bat skull earring well all in all it was a disaportment it was me a LV30th mage and 2 friends took this camp and was begging for more to kill slow spawn and not hard to break ether hade a druid so he harm them and we pulled out side 1st ans then took the 2 inside then you ok and spawn is broke up so you only got 1 at a time to kill but not a hard camp but you could get in trouble fast if not carfull but have fun and good luck and hope you all get better loot that i
