Muckdiver seems to be able to spawn anywhere in the outside area of Thalassius.

Max hit ~1800; average hit ~700; summons.

Rootable/snareable; does not enrage; flees at low health.

Casts a variety of spells until he runs OOM then enters melee.

tried him on oct 15 2007 and he does summon AND its more then sometimes summons.
have tried him twice on 2 different toons and a few hours apart. he summoned me both times often.

MUCKDIVER – no specific PH, PH any mob outside around the vicinity of the zone in is his PH and can be turtle, snake, fishman, or crabman. Mobs tend to congregate at ruins and chucks of concrete. Most were single pulls with no splitting needed. He spawns often but random.
He hit me for 1600’s max, average hit is 700’s, BUT he lands virtually no hits in melee other than riposte because he is trying to cast the whole time until he runs OOM. If you kill him quickly with a lot of DPS no one will take any dmg. I fought him five times and the five times combined he landed a total of one wimpy dot on me. Every thing else in all 5 fights was resisted. He does cast dispell once per fight, it knocks off two buffs. He has no enrage, runs at low health, does not summon, does not flurry.

I cannot recognize this. I have soloed him 4-5 times, and each time he has behaved as a tanktype. No casting at all. Hitting fast and hard (up to 1450) after he starts summoning.

Soloing might be what did it. When I pulled him to my group he kept stopping to cast so I had to do the pull/hide trick so he would keep coming.

Once he arrived at the group he always kept casting the entire encounter. We just kept pounding him and kept resisting everything, and then with 0 heals cast by our cleric we all ended up at 100 health almost every fight.

I figured it was because he had never run OOM and was always trying to cast. I will try to make a list of his favorite spells he likes to cast on me. Honestly it was mostly root,root,root,nuke,nuke,nuke and then he was dead.

This is far different than Rockcrusher, he was 100% melee.

Oh, now that ppl say he summons, I may be wrong about him not summoning. We were always at melee range and so he had no need to summon and therefore did not. I guess he doesnt like ranged combat, and therefore summons you to melee range.

OK he now enters melee at the start of the fight. No need to hide to pull anymore. He doesnt do nearly as much dps as Rockcrusher but at least you need a couple ch's were you needed no healing before.

Must have been a stealth nerf to 'fix' the mob.

After spending only about an hour here last night and getting four different spawns of him, it appears that he can spawn from just about any mob outside the tunnel area. I had him spawn twice at the SW tower, once in the water near zone in and once at the tower next to the tunnel entrance.

Dropped "Muckdiver Fin Earring."- AC +11, +15 STR,STA,WIS,INT,AGI, HP +215, MANA +255, +16 SvFire,SvCold,SvMagic,SvPoison, REGENERATION +2, MANA REGEN +3, DoT Shielding +3. Req Lvl 70, Rec Lvl 75. Ranger, Shadowknight, Druid, Shaman, Necro, Wizard, Mage, Beastlord Usable. Is Lore/NoDrop also.

Level 75, snareable/rootable and does summon. Spawned in a couple different areas, 1 being by a tower where Rockcrusher can pop. Highest hit was around 1800 or so but I just a Druid.

Dropped an aug but I forgot to take a SS.
