PC on the scepter?

I was camping at derv 2 turned round and Rahotep was behind me. Conned even to me (lvl 16 druid). Killed him with 2 stinging swarms plus a couple of ignites then meleed the rest.

I had about 1 and half bubs of health left at the end.

Okay I just killed this guy tonight on Vaz (meaning i've now killed Dungdigger, Dorn, and this **** so i've rolled all NRo as far as i'm concerned :)

The big question always seem to be 'where does he pop'

I can't really answer that since i didn't witness him pop... HOWEVER he was standing completely still when i found him leading me to believe at the least i should list that loc in the hopes it helps others.

Okay you know Derv 2? You know the Undead Ruins? Well he was just south of the undead ruins and just west of derv 2. If you were at the derv 2 spot where most groups sit you'd see him to your upper right on the hill. I actually came at him from behind, i had been PLing a friend at Derv 3 (near the Oasis zone line).

Another key point. When i saw him 2 other mummy type mobs (shrivled i believe) were wandering around... so i wonder if maybe he pops at a random shrivled mummy spawn point.

Either way. Thats where i found him, thats what was around him, yes he dropped the sceptor, and i hope this all helps others. Good luck in your hunt. I've hunted NRo for months with differnat characters now and only seen him twice (this time and once a month ago when someone yelled they'd killed him).

Ya there are a few greedy EQ players, about 2 weeks ago i was camping Dorn in N Ro and I was keeping the camp clear, I get a tank partner to help with dorn, anyway he we are getting ready to kill dorn when 3 other people show up and want to join our group. I was leader so I say ok NP. We tell them what we are going to do and the three new members say "No we cant kill dorn it will hurt our standing with the dark elf's" or somthing, so they leave the group and say when you get done killing him we will rejoin. ok fine. The tank and i Kill Dorn and we loot The dragoon and a stone, the tank say's i want stone you can have the Dragoon. Our mistake was we didnt use Group talk we just talked. and the 3 that didnt want to help said "No lets role for the Dragoon". I am smart enought to have said "No i am keeping the dragoon you didnt help you dont get loot" Needless to say they didnt stay in the group.

could a lvl 13 mage solo him or would he kill me with ease?

I agree with everyone else who said that if you aren't there to help them kill it, you don't loot it. I have only been to Nro once, and didn't come back (got aggroed by Dorn and barely got out alive hehe)but even in other places greed is always there. I am currently leveling in Crushbone, and I grouped with someone and I struggled to kill a slaver that conned yellow to me, and the person I grouped with came and looted after I killed.
The greed doesn't even stop in EverQuest! I am reluctant to mention, but still feel its my duty to, that when I beat Mephisto the first time in Diablo II, the person I was with stood back and let my butt get beaten, not hitting Mephisto once. Once he was dead, the person I was with ran up and grabbed the unique Plate Mail that dropped and left the game. Believe me, you are not alone in this, it has happened to everyone

Man i must be one lucky guy i was just running bye the undead pillar near the ocean with my lvl 8 chanter and he arggoed me i out ran him logged on my my druid and two nukes i had the scepter =-)
he went right back to the undead pillar so that might be where he spawns and i could track him for those who said they couldnt

I decided to camp this guy after reading up a lot on this ring, the sceptre of rahotep, and rahotep himself. From the information that I gathered nobody was really sure when and where this guy would spawn or is it was a trigger spawn. So, what I did is sat close to the mid derv camp and sent the shout "if anyone sees rahotep please let me know....will pay!" and what do you know. 20min after sending this message and waiting I finally got a shout from someone saying that they saw it. Now, he spawned close to the mtn derv camp and around 7am game time. I ran just as fast as I could and finally saw him. Also, someone had mentioned in other post's that people couldn't track him and I can vouch for that. I'm a ranger and didn't pick him up. I con'ed him immediately and he was blue and I'm a lvl 17. I didn't take my time and started to take him out. We were neck to neck with health. Luckly I have a whip that prock's life tap. My luck struck and I got some health back and he went down. I got the scarab ring, jasper, and rune of proximity. I plan to camp the guy again and try to get the sceptre out of him. Hope this helps all of you...GOOD LUCK!

I'm going to take a look at this mummy here, if it's true that he doesn't appear on tracking, well I just have to say that sucks. I heard Pyzjn didn't appear on tracking, but I've never seen her 2 feet from me while I was checking tracking either :P Good hunting to you all, maybe the luck that made Dyllin Starshine spawn when I came to Highpass uncamped will come again and Rahotep will be waiting for me at the zone :)

Has anyone fought this guy on bertoxx? How often does he drop the sceptre?

the other day i saw i guess a really strong rahotep. i was in a group with 2 other guys and i was on my 15 pala (i'v only had game 2weeks) and i was with a 16cleric and a 16 wiz. we were walkin around just havin fun, cracking jokes about 2 people having an argument about some stupid thing when the wiz says, whats a rahotep? i just shrug and we engage it. the wiz used his best nuke spells that he had and it didn't do all that damage to the rahotep, i engaged rahotep and he was hitting me for about 40-50 damage, i was forced to use my LoH to live, the whole time the cleric ended up useing every last thing of mana and i ended up useing up all my mana healing myself also and i ended with bubble and half. nothing was on the rahotep =( =(. i had just wasted a perfectly good LoH, still got good exp cause it coned yellow to both of level 16 guys, red to me. really sucked

OK, does anyone know if Rahotep has a certain spawn spot and where that is, and im wondering what lvl is the crypt of Danir and where is it

Just killed Rahotep the other day and he dropped the scarab ring. Does this ring have any quest related purpose, or is it no more than useless trash? The saves it offers are insignificant, as is it's AC rating.

Hes Dead on TP. I was in North Ro camping Dorn with some RL friends. When someone did a /shout That he was up I did a /shout RIGHT back Where. Got the Loc, Well before I could make it there he jumped me. My pet went right after him. He was blue to me. Im a 19 Nec. Heat Blood,Heart Flutter and Fear Went down with out pet being hurt. Got the Ring. Right after that I told everyone to watch out He might pop again after reading up on him. Well Needless to say. He did RIGHT on top of me as soon as I said that. Pet soloed him(I was OOM). Droped the ring again. Anyone know the PC on these. No one on TP has even heard of them
Guess they will have to wait a while longer to find out for themselfs.
