Thought I should mention that you may find more of these to kill in north ro. Just blast away at all lowbie creatures in the area near the freeport part of the zone - collect all the husks you can and use them to to raise the faction in oggok.
Since the husks are not NO TRADE, you can use a higher level character to farm them (relatively) quickly, then put the husks in the bank where your oggok-based character (or POK if still threatening to the oggok banker) can take them out of the oggok bank for an easy turn-in.
I post this because, unlike the lucky folks who only need rat whiskers to faction, would-be oggok residents need to find a more difficult item (the armadillo husk), where as folks looking for rat whiskers can simply go to the warrens and mass-kill the rats in that large rat spawn area.

So, I get done writing this post and then log back in to EQ. I camped at the Wayfarers camp in North Ro facing Oasis. I get up and look to my left and about 25 yards away is an Armadillo :P.Funny how things work. I think what happend was i killed all the Coyotes before i logged off and the armadillos must have taken there place. Hmmmm

Im makeing a Monk and i need the Armadillo carpace for my noob armor quest. Iv been playing EQ for 4 or 5 monthes and have leveled all my chars in North Ro. Why then have i never seen an armadillo? Where does it spawn? Ive been running around for 2 days now and its just not there.

I was killing armadilo's today and they were dropping tails and teeth. I was able to sell these for 2gp each. Not bad money for a newbie. They also dropped a carapace that is for a quest I beleive....does anyone have any knowledge of this quest? I have picked up about ten of these and was hoping I could turn them in for exp or something.

I just killed one and it dropped an armidillo tooth and a (no drop) armidillo carapace...does anyone know what quest this carapace is for?

My freind made an ogre character and got his a** kicked by it. It was halarious!
Very easy to kill. these guys drop nothing good that i have ever seen.

I have been killing these for fun and to bring up my spell skill.....They now drop Armadillo Hide and also Armadill Meat.

I started an orge warrior and i was at guild and there was water and every 1 minute there would be a one of these will fall in the water and die very FUNNY!

Has anyone ever found any loot on an armadillo? Been hunting them for ages and never found any loot from them. Bit of a let down really.

Anyone else know anything about the elusive dune digger? He drops a Scute Shield, AC 15 +9 STAMINA. Heard he is a once a month spawn too

yea i killed him the other night, he drops an ac 15 9sta shield that has the aegis graphic. and he sometimed drop skin, the shield is a rare drop for him .

killed him a couple of days ago and got a damn armadillo hide - conned green but whipped my ar*e bad (at 18th lvl). Needed LOH just to survive.
