I was just strolling along through NK, with my great invis, SOW, etc.. feeling so safe and secure. It was a beautiful day in Norrath:) BLUE FLAME!!! You have been hit for 700dmg! You are entwined! You have been hit for 60dmg! You have been hit for 60 dmg! You have been slain by Xanuusus! LOADING PLEASE WAIT!!! AAAAAGGGHHH! I'm bound in Kunark. Didn't even see this guy. I'm a 25 DE SK... I shall return for revenge when I grow up...Thats one hell of a tree...BAH!!!

This is the last NPC that Druids need to turn the
3 Cleansed Spirits(Faydwear, Antonica and Kunark) to obtain the epic.
The Whithered Treant which surprinsigly is not listed in the Zone Info here, is also part of the epic.

mesa must be ta luckist bard in the land . me didn't know he was trint , thought he was human or halfling cause i once had a halfling that got that quest (never did it ) , didn't even con him and i was right under him withouts even knowing it !

I was walking around NK with my 36 iksar monk and saw this guy by the mountain range... I walked one or two steps closerr and he turned around .... He was barely in seeable range and he aggroed!! I started to run .... 300 dmg dd, root, 100 dmg punch, 600 dmg dd .... LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...... Needless to say FD didnt work on this guy and when he killed me i was pretty sure he was an epic mob... that sux Lol , but it was almost worth it to get some pics of my monky fleeing from this huge tree 8)

okies dokies. mesa runnin's around mindin me own buisness and dis p#$@k peice of wood spawned pretty much right on top of mes...... me turned and started to runs cause he immediatly started to chase mes den bang rooted with 3 wee dot's of 60 dmg......the root broke pretty quick(at dis stage me dink me might make it to da bridge) den BOOOOMM hit me wit some kinda frost nuke for 650 dmg.......me never hit da ground sooo fast and sooo hard...
next thing me knows me awake in neriak naked saying to meself WTF!!!lol

This is the final NPC for BOTH the Ranger and Druid Epics. Rangers give him the shattered emerald of corrutpion and refined mithral blade to get their second weapon, Earthcaller, 14 24 1hs loads of stats, procs earthcall, 45% slow and 600 DoT, practically unresistable. Druids give him their sword and spirits or something and get a pretty 20 30 1hs that has little clovers floating off the blade, called Nature Walker's Scimitar. http://www.monsterweb.org for excellent info and pics on ALL epics, but especially the ranger FULL FAQ.

...from most treants. I'm currently hunting North Karana, and in the process have indeed learned that the treants at the druid ring don't like me at all. In fact, they've killed me on more than one occasion, unprovoked.
I'm kos to the treants at the druid ring, and Xanuusus cons me dubiously.

Yes This is the final Treant for the Druid EPIC and yes withered treant is also a druid epic mob but only for the cleansed spirit of antonica

MAN! I REALLY hate this guy. He killed me in one cast. FOUR TIMES!!! This stinking TREE has the biggest aggro range I have ever seen and killed me while i was looting my previous corpse. Downlevelled after the 2nd time. THE TREE RUNS FASTER THAN SOW!!! ARGH!!!!

I agree! Xanuusus killed me with one spell and I never even saw him. Then, while looting my corpse I saw him way across the screen and he booked it faster than I have ever seen a tree run to kill me again. Lost a level. Damn Treant!

the Withered Treant is the Druid epic mob... not Xanuusus. He took my epic items for antonica, so ... starting over now.

It is for the dr00d epic, Xanus will give you your very own leaf blower if you give it 3 cleansed spirites and that scimtar of some sort.

This thing killed me after rooting me, the spell says 'you are encased in frost' before I died instantly..

I'm a lvl 38 Enchanter and this bully sneaks up behind me. Kills me with that same root spell. I was dead and didn't even know I was attacked

Hey all
I am a level 48 wizard and with the help of 3 other wizards and a 47 mage and a pally we killed him twice. He didnt drop anything but respawned real quick and decent exp. the pally died the 2nd time if we had a healer we would have been fine good camp for high level group never seems to be camped if ya like killin treants

This guys got 12500 hps,casts nasty dots and blasts ya for 600hps a time. the next step up is Lady Vox , hehe so take care if your a Troll , Ogre Etc..

While searching almost fruitlessly for reasonable quary I came across a VERY large, moving tree! He said is name was Xanuusus and while quite polite and friendly, would speak no further with me. I plotted his location for further research into this enigmatic living arbol at P1185, P607. I wouldn't imagine a living tree gets around all that much so he very well can be found there on any occasion. The region in question, of course, is N Karana.

He does talk back; you just have to stand close to him (and I mean really close, to the point where he takes up the whole screen).

Xanuusus is lvl 50, hits for very hard and has a LOT of health, I hit him for 600 dmg, and it looked like it took less than a quarter of a bubble of health. He also hit me for 150 dmg, the first hit he got on me, and he conned me even, at lvl 50. I also only got a DD to stick on him once out of 5 times.
