I've seen these pop all over different parts of zone. More often I've seen them closer to the guard tower south of the gypsie camp, but not exclusively.

I had the pleasure of running into a highland lion today. I was running through the zone (never even thought of fighting with it) and out of the blue it was on my heals taking swipes at me. I conned it as I ran and it was blue to me. I knew I would not be able to zone in time so I turned and fought it. Dual welding I figured I had a pretty good chance at taking him, and even though he was hitting me for 30+ points to my 13 points, I was hitting more often. Before long he was dead on the ground and I had a little less than half my life left. My mistake was bending down to loot it. At that moment another highland was running by. It looked like it was going to just go past me, and then it suddenly turned on me before I could get back onto my feet. Had it not been for a bard passing by (I didn't get their name, I was too busy running) I would have died. Moral of the story... you can solo a lion, but they wont solo you.

im a lvl 16 ranger and when fighting one near the end of the fight another didnt like my choice in pray but i took him down as well i didnt have much hp left but for a lvl 16 to do that i think you can handle them just fine at a lower lvl as long as its just one

As a 23lvl Warrior these con Green to me. Have taken out two in a row with no prob. Now maybe it is a bug but coning green these still say they give exp. But my blue bar never moves. All my equipment was earned and bought and made. I am not a twink. And Im doing 20+ damage and 45 criticals. My skills are maxed. So maybe its just being a rogue in a one on one fight. But I also take my time and have soloed 19 lvls.

IMHO Highland Lions are tuff creatures. They aggro on everything and are very fast runners. I personally have been run down by them when pulling and I HAD Spirit of Wolf. They hit hard, in the 30s and can be a tough fight for most classes. If you have/are a druid, necro or have similar types of spells (darkness line/snare line), your fight with them will be much easier.

I took one out with my lvl 13 necro with no problem, i puled with darkness feared and then stacked all my dots. then 2 fears later he went down. He never touched me but i think he hit my pet maybe twice. Enchanters will probably have the same resluts as long as nothing else interferes with your reverse kitting.

I had tried at 17 with my rogue. They do hit quite hard, but if you have a druid and can root, snare and fear them you can take them out pretty easy. Just be ready to root if they break the spells.

I was in NK and one jumped a level 19 barbarian warrior while he was fighting a sycthe beetle. I tried taking it off of him, but almost got me killed. I was a level 15 ranger. Beware the barb did help me kill it. I would have died trying it solo

Whatever level he is, be warned he hits hard and fast so I would say level 15 is possibly right although he hits with the force and repetition of about level 18.

Green con=2/3 or less your lvl
Light Blue=2/3-3/4 your lvl
Blue=3/4 to 1 lvl under you
White=equal
Yellow=1 or 2 lvls higher than you
Red=3+ lvls above you

Not true at higher levels. At 38, everything from 28 to 37 cons blue to me.

Sure the level cap is 15? I conned one when I was level 19 and it was blue.
