I killed a bunch of these on the southeastern shoreline of North Karana, they seem to be lvl 9-11 only. Some are rogues and backstab. The male half elves are wizards.

A Raider Camp is located Southeast part of the zone by the water. If you bring up your map they are right in the lower bottom corner. They are between Lvl 11-15 mobs that drop Bandit Sashes. They seem to spawn fast in this corner and the drop rate for the sashes it about 3 out of every 8 kills.
It's true. A recent patch decreased the HP of these and bandits from 4k-10k to a typical level. That patch then made them merchants, which a later patch fixed. I think now they're OK to hunt again.
There is certainly something funky going on. I would bet that they have more than 4k HP.
The half-elf caster bandits in East Karana also have the same new hit point level. But they have a weakness that is a blast to play with. The lions will attack them. I just got finished killing three of them with a little help from out furry friends. At one point I had 12 lions beating on one of these new bandits. Took them quite a while since they only hit for 8-15 points, but what a show!
I kept the guy dotted to keep his interest and then would go sit in front of any roaming kitty. The bandit would run over and agro the lion. Worked like a charm (There ought to be a pun there.)
Don't pull him to the guards or the farmers, they will just kill the lions.
Once he is really low, nuke him and get the credit, such as it is.
These caster types never had much on them, and of course they are way too low for exp. So my question would be, what good are they now? No newbie could kill them and no one over 21 would want to bother ('cept me of course). So what is Verant up to here?
This past weekend, I went to the Raider camp east of the stone bridge in NK to help to raise my Qeynos factions a bit, and in pulling the raiders that were druids (usually the half-elfs, unless I'm mistaken) they seemed to have a massive amount of hit points.
I sat and watched my level 29-cast focused fire pet tank one for like 10 minutes before it was down enough to start running, and when it ran, between my pet and two wandering lions, it still didn't die until it was well past the guard tower near the gypsy camp in the center of the zone.
With all but the half-elves, I'd send the pet in, and after a couple whacks, they were running, and then they wouldn't make it up to the top of the shore line before dying.
I tried it a couple more times on the half-elf raiders, and each time the fight went the same. Each time the half-elf took 8 shock of spikes spells (195-202 dmg each), plus the fire shield damage (28 points), plush my pet dual wielding pet hitting him for 15-28 points at a time - *and* I was able to med back to 70% before he started running. Crazy, crazy crazy. I thought it might just be the fact that I'm level 30, but even a level 11 shaman that was out there had the same problems. Am I crazy? Am I nuts? Is it just my imagination?
I just had the same experience on The Nameless. A 41st level Druid and a 34th level Ranger took 45 minutes to melee three of these guys to death.
These guys usually die with 275 - 350HP. We were hitting them for 100HP per second for the entire time! I've never run into anything with this level of hit points!
Fortunately, they are still the same low level casters that they always were, in relation to their ability to do damage and cast.
It was fun to do, just once.
I would love to see these guys against some guards. Are there any NPCs in Southern Karana that would kill them if you ran these raiders to them?

so wait.... these drop bandit sashes and are lower then bandits? I know sashes only drop off the human kind.... the thing is, I have a char hunting bandits with a great deal of difficulty... I did not know I could hunt Raiders, then bandits, then Brigands - etc.... I just did not know that these gave sashes.... also the bandit teeth sell well as far as money and time and xp you can not beat the bandits, what they drop, their cash, what you can sell, the cash AND a bronze weapon for reward. its sick.
dont forget to look up the heal in qeynos if your a lone melee type :)
Anyone know how many of these you'd have to kill to go from the guards scowling at you to at least dubious? I've been keeping a tally and I killed exactly 380 of them after camping all night until 5:36 this morning. The guards still scowl! Is there a better and FASTER way to raise faction with Qeynos guards??
These are needed for a newbie paladin quest in Qeynos for a breastplate. A lot of the new newbie quests are listed at this site: http://pub126.ezboard.com/feqtraderscornerfrm11.showMessageRange?topicID=681.topic&start=1&stop=20
I was surprised at how easy this was, being only a level 12 Beastlord, with a full camp of 6 bandits, 3 of them conning white to me (2 druids in the camp).
Here is what you do, and be sure to have a partner of comparable level, I had a lvl 10 shammy with me, sow really helps here.In fact I think it is a requirement.
1. Stand up the hill from the camp out of aggro range, cast Flash of Light on the closest Raider. This will cause the one to run away, but not too far, and one of the druids in the camp will cast a spell on you.
2. When you get hit by the spell your warder will run into the group and attack the caster. (Note, if a druid raider doesn't cast on you, be sure to send your pet in to the mob of raiders that are running at you). You should now be running West back down the coast toward the spiral.
3. When your pet jumps in he will get the aggro of several of the raiders, there is nothing you can do for him, say a few words later in rememberance. You will have the other 2 or 3 raiders on your tail (or backside if you are not a VAH or IKS), after getting some distance turn and cast flash of light again on one of them, your target flees and you continue to run with 1 or 2 left.
4. After running only a little ways down the coast turn and fight the 1 or 2 that are left, and your partner should jump in. These guys dont have much HP so one raider should be dying by the time the last one you flashed is returning, if it ends soon recast.
5. After these guys are dead make a new pet, buff and return to the camp to find the remaining raiders coming for you, 2 or 3 of them. No problem, you and your partner and pet can take them down easily enough. Be sure to take these a little way from their camp, as the respawn should follow soon and you dont want them all on you.
Have fun, lots of easy experience this way, the camp can be cleared every 5 mins or so.
These guys con green to my level 22/23 druid, so they're an easy way to pick up some decent cash. They drop anywhere from a few copper to as much as 1pp 3gp on one occasion. Typical loot is from 5sp to 3gp. Some have sashes, some have bronze weapons.
The bronze weapons sell for anywhere from 1pp to 3pp and change. The sashes can be turned in to a guy at the Qeynos paladin guild. He gives you exp (tho almost none at lvl 22 as would be expected), a weapon or shield that sell for 1pp to 3pp, and money, sometimes a lot of money (20gp 6sp one time!). An hour's work can get you anywhere from 20 to 40pp.
Killing these guys also is a nice way to get faction up with Qeynos guards and residents.
Every raider in North Karana has at most 320 HP. My wizard is standing at the camp picking them off one by one for 320, cranking the faction and loot. Respawn is insane, hardly enought time for mana to regen. Collect the sashes and turn them in, well worth the effort.
Ran into these guys while swimming the river to get to the bridge. The entire camp was green to my 23 troll Shadow Knight so I took a swat at one to see it's faction - exactly what it says up there. The best thing about this place though is at that level, they wouldn't help each other - I could cut down one of them and the others would just sit there and watch - not lift a finger except for the occasional heal cast by those half elf druid gals they've got.
I then spent the next two or three hours clearing camp - the spawn rate is insane - by the time I'd killed the last one the first ones had repopped - it took alot of swordplay on my part to keep that place clean - I think that two groups that could get XP from these guys could easily share the camp and still have too much work on thier hands.
Loot was still rather nice - they were dropping sashes atleast one in three on average (too bad I had to let them rot - I'm still KOS to turn them in) lot's of bronze weapons, coins up to a few gold, some food and water, lot's of newspapers, a few rusty weapons and atleast 3 vials of human blood.
I was currently on the high end of dubious in Highpass - I'm drooling at the thought of these characters getting me into apprehesive - if they do, I'll spend the entire weekend slaughtering them to become ally in highpass and atleast non-KOS in Qeynos.
I know sometimes when you kill something it will raise faction without telling you. And since it raises faction with rogues, and anytime I've been attacked by Trumpy a few corrupt guards run too, so does it mean that the corrupt guards will like me more for killing them?
For all those out there who cant seem to understand why Irontoe keeps attacking you in qeyons south well its because Circle of Unseen Hand is rouges guild an there affiliates.Killing these jerks will increase your faction give good exp up to 12 in someareas an hiwayman up to 14.Keeping in mind that rangers are affiliat to Karana residints gettinmg faction for these guys deaths will keep you in the clear for a long time.
The North Karana Raider camp, east of the Wizzy spires along the coast, has a few different types of classes of Raiders. I've run into straigt melee class and druid Raiders. The druids are generally a high enough level to have SOW (couldn't outrun them with my druid at 15-16) and some still con blue to me at 17, so it's possible that they may go as high as 14 or 15. It took quite a bit to solo this camp, they're spaced enough apart that it takes a few casts of harmony to lull the entire camp in order to only pull one. I never was able to break the spawn, as there is about 8 of these guys. Although, with that number, you don't have to wait for another mob to pop before taking your next one. Loot is coin, some bronze weapons, bandit sashes. Pretty similar to the loot of all bandits of the karanas.
so, what are the sashes for? they are no drop, and a buddy of mine told me that you give them to someone in Qeynos and they give you an item that is worth a few pp. But, I don't know who go to for that. Anyone have the answer?
Chesgard Sydwen, in the house of thunder, is willing to reward those who help eliminate the bandits in the Karanas. Bring him a bandit sash and he will give you xp, faction, some decent gold and an item (often bronze). You get the following faction changes: Knights of Thunder, Priests of Life and Guards of Qeynos go up and Bloodsabres goes down
