Sanfyrd is at 2020, -230, -192.

If you use find to get to a Necromancer Guildmaster, Sanfyrd is along the way at the bottom of a waterfall just before you go into the final building. You'll have to swim across a short distance to him.

Thanks, added location.

Finding Him if you're KOS
# Sep 06 2004 at 4:46 PM Rating: Decent
Just Helped a KOS Mage do turn in to this guy. Some notes:

Finding him: use the find command, search for a Necro Guildmaster. Go all the way to the rear of the zone, when you come to waterfall (right near necromancer guildmaster) swim across at the bottom of the falls, he's right there. *Do not go into the tunnels where the Necro NPS's are (beyond the metal door), if you are KOS.* If you're a small race, wedge up against the wall and the shore, and hop until you get up there.

Faction: Minotaurs will work if you have time. I'd recommend the Gnome potion, it will make you non-KOS, and let you do the turn-in.

Good Luck

Easy going

Im a Tunarean Druid, just did the Turn in without a Problem.

What the heck do you Ogre Guys in Ak Anon ?
Just use Some other Char for the Turn in, the Cloak isnt nodrop, the wires are easy to get.
And if you cannot afford a Boar Horn, get Flagged and go to Drunder get them for yourself,
Otherwise you are not Worthy *veg*

Or just fix your Faction with the eldritch Collective soon enough, its easy going.

The Cloak is great, especially for Druids or Chanters zo Charm Pets.

to find him
# Mar 19 2004 at 7:40 AM Rating: Decent
To find this guy, i used the find option, and unchecked the box that says 'show only stuff i can use' or whatever. then i did find on the necro guild master, and as soon as this guy was nearby on track, i tracked to him. (ranger)
Apprehensive works

Sanfyrd was apprehensive to me as an agnostic Vah Shir BST. The turn-in was successful.

A guy named Sanfyrd that runs a junkyard...

"It's the big one, Lamont!"

And Sony tries to tell us not to strip names from popular culture for our characters (granted that Sanford and Son is not exactly prime-time anymore :P)

Ah well, it was an amusing moment when I made the connection :)

I just tried this stupid quest with my 65 ogre warrior, as he had the superconductive wires. I'm 3 boxing a 65 enchanter and a 65 dru. Charmed the gnome, conned indiff to the war... hailed him, he responded, turned in the 4 pieces, and he ate them saying something about "I refuse to deal with your kind" or sumn such crap. I had 2 of the boar horns so I thought... hrm, maybe I can mq by turning in a horn. My dru is amiable... I evac'd to clear agro after several fizzles, and turned in my horn - he ate it.

I'm out 14k for the cloak, and 5k for a horn... 19k down the crapper due to another nerf. I hate this game. It's sucking more and more every patch.

The war didn't get evac'd... of course that's broxed too, so he used his worker's sledgemallet to gate to the Overthere, jumped off the boat... killed a skel, and out of nowhere comes 7 DE's... lol. Killed him.

Did the turn-in as a Erudite necro with doubious faction. No problems at all.

Slaughtered minotaurs in Steamfront to go from KoS to doubious. Took about an hour and a half...

Woo, I'm a Dark Elf Shadow Knight. I got myself a Gnome Illusion potion and was able to do turn in. So, I think if you are KoS, then a simple Gnome Illusion potion should do the trick. It knocked me up to Dubious. (Note that I never hunted gnomes, and therefore took no faction hits against them.)

Faction for a DE?
# Jun 29 2003 at 7:44 AM Rating: Decent
Is there any way for a Dark Elf cleric to get the faction to do the cloak turn in? Any help would be great. Thanks.

I just did turn ins with amiable faction. No sneak, no illusions. I'm a Half-Elf Ranger who follows Karana.

Edit: Turn ins for Cloak of Greater Pernicity.

Scrap Metal
# Dec 29 2002 at 11:07 PM Rating: Decent
I am a Gnomish Magician and was wondering if its possible to use this scrap metal quest to raise merchant faction back from KOS. This is because I'm considering hunting the poor little gnomish guards out in steamfont. I need to be able to get faction back up so I can buy my spells.

Sanfryd's /loc is 2020, -233.
Do NOT try to go looking for him inside the tunnels, it seems gnome necros do not like half-elf Rangers, at least those following Tunare, he is across the water from the door to the necro tunnels.
# Jun 02 2001 at 8:44 PM Rating: Default
What do I do to raise faction with this guy? is he of the same faction as Sanfyrd Montop? Do Montop and Feather head in any way tie in together? Is Featherhead's faction just the Gnomes? The answer to any of these questions would be greatly appreciated.

This guy is all the way at the bottom of the water falls, down by the maze(where the Necro's train). He is off to the other side of the entrance.
Where and how?
# Jul 06 2000 at 4:24 AM Rating: Decent
Hey where is this guy? Is he in the city of An'kanon? If so how do I get in? The robots don't to like me and attack me on sight. Does this bald guy hate Half-Elf Rangers too?
# Jun 30 2000 at 4:59 PM Rating: Decent
The Montop may be a reference to his baldness, which is important to the raincaller quest.
# Jun 07 2000 at 10:45 AM Rating: Decent
Has anybody seen his son?
Junk man
# Apr 19 2000 at 10:20 AM Rating: Good
He is the operator of the "junk yard." just across from the Spooky guild. It seems that operating the junk yard consists of standing next to a piece of equipment. I can do that. I have done that... Anyway, some gnomes tell you to take metal scraps to the junk yard guy, and they tell you his name is Sanfyrd Montop, who does not seem to exist. If you give him 4 metal scraps (not black box bits, that is something else) this guy will give you faction with several goodly gnome groups, including gemchoppers and the king I think. He fills the same role the montop guy is supposed to.
