Duo'd him with a 70 monk hit me a 83 druid with 2800 ac about 1500 seemed to be max hit. I let my DS tick off while monk wailed on him. Heal over time and spam heals and I lived with 40m after fight
anyone have any info as to how hard this guy is? Max hits? num hp's? ect ect? I can duo Dranik the mad in valdeholm with me gimp cleric, wondering if i can do this guy. thanks in advance.

Did they reduce the spawn rate of this guy? ive been camping him for legs for about a week now and only had him pop 4 times. Each time i camped him i was at camp (west side of zone) for about 2-4 hours each time.
Camped at druid ring on west side of zone 3 different times. All gnolls are PH's. First camp dropped 2 plate, 2 silk, 0 leather, 1 chain in about 2 hours. Second camp dropped 1 plate, 2 silk, 1 leather, 0 chain in about 1 hour. Third camp dropped 5 plate (2 rotted), 1 silk, 2 leather, 0 chain in about 3 hours. Once you clear a couple of times he spawns almost once every cycle. From these camps and previous ones it seems that plate is his common drop, silk, then leahter, then chain (being rarest...I have seen 3 chain drop from him total). Have fun chain wearers.

The only time I have killed this guy is when he was already up when we got to camp. We have tried 3 times for over 5 hours each time and he never spawned. We had to have killed every mob around the rings many times over with the exception of Direwind Current. Are we missing something or just really unlucky? Would be grateful for any help. Thanks.
Pretty much any of the undead Gnolls can be a PH. But only one Son of Severan can be up at once.
If you've been camping a while and not had a spawn, there is a good chance he is already up elsewhere in the zone. Take a ranger with you and you will know for certain he's not already up.

we just did a 13 hour camp at the son spawn .. 56 plate , 43 chain , 41 leather, and ZERO silk.. WTF.. did they remove silk molds from the game, and forgot to put them back in ??

Currently I find that if you keep a camp cleared he will often spawn immediately after dying. Although I have yet to see THIS many spawns, some nights are quite good. This was posted only a month after release, so I can see this happening at that time.
just camped for about 2 hours, killed him 3 times... ALL SILK! bah to that lol
My wife and i dropped this guy a few times 2 days ago. He dropped 3 plate, 1 chain, 1 leather and 1 silk. Which should confirm that he actually does drop silk, not sure if this was fixed at some point, but he does drop it now.

Had him spawn 5 times in a great Xp group lastnight, and drop the plate mold every time. All but 1 rotted or went /ooc to the zone.

hits 1300, not snareable/rootable, summons, easy groupable mob -- patterns are for an armor quest similar to oow w/o all the factioning according to my luck so far.
Wuss named, spawns constantly at the SW camp. Had him spawn 6x in one xp session, including 2 back-to-back.

I found him up at -78, 1270; but he can pop from pretty much every spot in this area. (to specify "SW camp" a bit...)

if anyone cares to know.. severan is the gnoll who diseased the serpent's river :) severan was a rotting gnoll who killed of most of the nymphs and made centaurs weak and sickly
