The Hemophilic Poison proc can be very nasty for anyone around the level 40-50 range. I've found the best way to kill these is to keep them stunned as much as possible. Caster would have an easier time by root-rotting or kiting. Don't let your pet go toe to toe with these though, or you'll be wonderin where he went =D

Just a heads up not to do the silly thing I just did.
I wanted some better ground for swarm kiting these fellas, so I dragged them down to the minohten camp. Didn't realize the spiders cast the pbae, and when my pet cast it the who mino camp swarmed on me lol.
So if you're looking for a better place to charm these things than those annoying cliffs, the camp below isn't it. Lol.
I saw as many as 6 spiderling adds afterward, similar experience to the other posters, they're just free 'ling silk - they /con indifferent, and are single-pullable without paci.
As far as the effects it procs - check out 'a large mesa recluse' also in GK Mesa, the snare it procs is listed for that spider. Both spiders proc both effects.
When defeated, though it seems random (first one didn't, second one did), they spawn 3-4 "a spiderling" around the corpse. They don't immediately aggro, and are not social, but that could be due to the fact that they were grey to a 41... died to a Drain Spirit (the spiderlings, not the recluse lol).
They also seem to cast a spell called Tangleweb, which seems to be an AE snare centered from the caster... 30 second duration, but usually breaks sooner... icon is the same as the darkness line of spells for necros, which leads me to belive this is magic-based.
