While doing this quest for my bard i discovered that it might be quite hard to get the gypsy lute considering that there were many in this room (inside castle) and the undead mob in the room would see through invis (ack big train) i made friends with a druid and shadowknight in the zone at about 3AM and we killed gypsy spawns 2 times and finally got gypsy lute... other part of this lambent bp quest is to get a basalt carapace from basalt gargoyles in guk. take them to temple of Solusek Ro with your lambent gem (forget which) and voila... lambent bp... i've heard rumor that gypsy lute adds % to string song effects... any affirmations?

The Gypsie Lute and the Lute of the Gypsie princess are two different things. Gypsie lute is for bard quest and is NoDrop. Lute of the Gypsie Princess is a magical lute for bards and can be Dropped, it is dropped by Mynthi Davissi.

As for the question for Inivis... I made it from zone to the ballroom with camo on, and no problems. They don't see invis until you get further in (if at all).

In response Therian's "Lute" post...the Lute of the Gypsy Princess actually does have a known effect. While not actually saying it, its has been discovered and confirmed by Verant that the Lute of the Gypsy Princess has a +23% to +30% effect on all songs requiring a stringed instrument, making it a valuable tool for all bards...including myself. =)

The werewolf talon dropped in Mistmoore is for the crafted breastplate quest. Note it is NOT the same thing as used for the Lupine Claw Gauntlets quest with Karg Icebear. The item you need for the gauntlets is a werewolf CLAW, which is magic, not lore, and droppable (the claw looks like the graphic for rat foot, Paw of Opolla, etc). It is also considerably rarer than the werewolf talon dropped in Mistmoore. I got my claw from a werewolf in West Karana.

and to get those other gloves he is talking about the lupine ones are a quest and ya have to get the talon from the West Common wearwolves not the gypsy talon. the Gypsy talon is for the crafted BP quest.

The Gypsy Musician drops the Gypsy Lute for the Lambent Breastplate quest. The Lute of the Gypsy Princess only drops from Mynthi Davissi. While magical, there is no known benefit to it over a normal lute.

I got a lute of the gypy princess off a werewolf in mm up by the ball room, so it must be rare off them or something, and i dont think someone gave it to the wolf either.

nope, the loot is decided when the mob spawns, what level you are, how you kill it, and where you kill it have nothing to do with it.

The gypsy is located in the ballroom just behind the entry hall accessible through the front gate. A decent group can fight their way into the entry hall and setup camp here and then pull from multiple areas back into the entry hall.

With the change in pathing just implemented, it doesnt really matter how you pull the mobs in the area. A good idea is to have someone with soothe/harmony do the pulling to minimize adds.
