I think this is a SK. Once upon a train i saw this thing and a million other DEs with plate that casted. Casted dooming darkness and boil blood.

Actual name of the rune?

What is the actual name of the rune? I heard it was "A Rune" and Rune of Ivy anyway i was down there at 33 soloing them, a funny thing i noticed about that place is when they are in those little square box things I sat there and nuked one to death with my 37 dmg ignite, sad i know. But it clearly seen me but it never came out so i just doted and nuked it to death. but the second time i tried i got closer and it came out, but stopped again and stood there while i nuked it some more then when i got closer it acted like a normal mob. Anyway I've seen many runes drop from them but not Ivy so is it "a Rune" or "Rune of Ivy"?

The name of the item is A Rune of Ivy, or maybe just Rune of Ivy.

Having identify cast on your (or doing the beginning of the ice comet quest so you can cast it yourself) will identify it as A Rune of Ivy (____ half)

I think it will show as a 'rune of ivy' if you have a 'chanter cast identify on it.

Camped the jail for about an hour or so, was hard to tell - time really flies in there, hehe. But the jaill is good place to hunt them; they spawn three at a time and only attack if they see you or you are close to them, so you can kill them one at a time (basically) without having to worry about the other two. First three we killed did not have ivy rune, but the 4th one did. After that we all left, and i went and got me a new ivy helm - yea!!! I was suprised how easy these things were to kill, maybe i was just in good group; 34 wiz, 41 pally, 32 rogue, and 30 druid.

Anyway, i hope the rune off redwind will be this easy - going there tonight.

I've killed about 15 deathly ushers total and still I don't have the rune of ivy. I'm guessing that it's a very rare drop off this guys.

i was able to get one off the first usher i killed, and the other ranger in the group got hers off the second. hummm... i guess we just got ultra lucky. i also got the heart of fire off the wizard in Sol a very quickly, and the other rune off of grimfeather the first time. it was a good day to be a ranger.

sorry to disappoint you, but ive followed these suckers around invis so long it hurt (when my camo ran out), and there was no big screen.

On the other hand, they were happy to usher me to the nearest beating they could arrange, with the help of their offerer friends :)

ok, on the plus side:

these are ALMOST as easy to deal with solo at the ghoulish ancille. these guys just hit for about 10 more dmg max. a good DS, and some reasonable weapons skills, and that rune of ivy is yours. it was mine at 30 anyway.
