Ssynthi is a renegade shadowman, who has apparantly found solace in the teachings of Solusek Ro. He is not normally agressive to people whom are in league with the Temple of Solusek Ro.
He asks a simple favour of return of a flower to him, which reminds him of his lost true love. This flower can be found inside the cyrpt. In return for the flower he will give you a scepter of Sorrow, which is used in the Temple of Solusek Ro quests.
When killed, he will give up the Robe of The Keeper, a reasonabe mid-level caster robe, although you kill him at the risk of damaging your ability to walk freely in the Temple.

his flower now spawns just outside of the southern mistmoore catacombs dungeon (one nearest to mistmoore castle, not the crypt)
Found it at -742, 3741, just in front of the dungeon entrance. Item is temporary, lore, and droppable. It looks like a bag. Give it to Ssynthi, loc -834, -1154. You get +faction with Temple of Sol Ro, and -faction with Shadowed Men. You also receive A Sceptor, magic, lore, and no drop. Say's necro for the class.

Ssynthi also drops Essence of Shadow occasionally, just like all shadowed men.

Killed him a few times tonight to get the robe and he also dropped a pair of Glowing Gloves!

Get your faction back by killing either goblins on solusks eye or kobolds in nagafens lair. dont remember which exactly restores the faction but i do know its one of the 2.

as i said in other posts, i have killed this flying book, not really knowing what it is, and i didnt know it had that crap faction... some people say that i cant do flower quest anymore others say i stil can... anyway, i thought it might agro so i snuck up to it and noticed its main quality, <flying book "oooo aaa"> and then i realized it was blue so my group killed it and we got bad faction =(. is there any way that i can get that faction back, hopefully by doing flower quest?

i fell down the trap, but when i got to the room, i just walked through the wall by the door on the right side. Then i was in the graveyard again, i tried it twice, and it works

Group I was in killed this thing, just killed him once, will that ***** my faction for doing the Sol Ro quests? If so, how many Shadowed Men do I hafta kill to get it back up high enough to do the quests again? I mean, I know he's a big pansy floating book and all, but I want my Bracers of the Reverant. Anybody know?

This should be fairly obvious for all AE spell users, but I feel it bears mentioning... In my early 20's, I often joined groups in the corner, on the GY side of the initial courtyard, around on the opposite side of the outer tower. It makes for a good pull spot for all the usual yard mobs (aside from being in the path of any castle trains...), but we learned the hard way not to use AE spells there, as the wall is not nearly as thick as it seems. Using bardic AE songs, I accidentally hit him while fighting a couple of initiates with our group there in the corner. It took us a minute to figure out what had happened, but we decided to zone, as none of us wanted to take the Sol Ro faction hit.

He is the fasted MoB I've ever seen except a SoWed Singe in SOL A
If you kill him once and haven't been doing considerable work on Sol Temple faction, you can't do the Flower Quest anymore.
Other than that, he's fun to kill. A big floating book hehe

no this robe is not nice, it sucks compared to the fsction hit you take. +2 int robe? i think i'll pass on that one. if you are there and can kill him you better have a better robe than this already

Don't walk on the 2 sides of the tomb because you wont live too long. If you try to walk out of the pit, about 4-5 thought defilers will kill you pretty damn fast. If you do fall in the trap, try to keep yourself as close to the part you fell in so you can /corpse yourself out.

I got lucky when faced with the same situatin in the trap with another guild buddy. Our solution was getting evacuated by a another guild druid.

Wizard, casts 24 and under spells, including dispell, frost and forcs shocks. Temple of Sol ro down, Shadow men up.

Hail Ssynthi and follow the cues, he will tell you to go into the tomb and retrieve the flower from the top of the coffin there. When you go in, watch out for the trapdoors to either side of the coffin; the item you're looking for spawns every few minutes on top of the coffin. Grab it and return it to Ssynthi. You get faction hits as follows: + Temple of Solusek Ro, - Shadowed Men. A good easy way to gain faction with the Temple if you've managed to ***** it up.

I agree that this is an underconn. Me, a 30th bard and a 27th rogue dealt what we estimate 500-600 damage while he nuked us, and we had to selo out of the zone. He looked like he still had a third of his health. Conn'd dark blue to me though. Anyways, he's tougher than he looks. I'm glad I didn't kill him now that I see the faction hit.
