Confirmed he is a very rare spawn, golems in the Colossus area are placeholders. I'd suggest working on this during events where rare spawn percentages are higher.
He did not pop for several real life DAYS worth of camping.
He finally popped in place of one of the golems. For me specifically it was one of the 2 static golems on the North side of the valley.

Ive been camping this guy for 5 DAYS. I'm killing all the golems and the wandering spirit stag. there is nothing else to kill. Any clues as how to get this guy to spawn? is it just a sit and wait? Do I even need to kill anything?

Did you ever get him to spawn? I am in the area west of Relic constantly killing golems and wandering stags and also am not getting him to spawn for several days now

Got a few helms and a pair of leggings. Never thought to get a screenie but they were all fair for twinks and mid level people.
soloed this guy pet pulled as a beastlord and got my normal pet out - he is EASY - fully slowed no resists either and I killed him with still have my mana left and he is even con to me - dropped leggings for dru mnk bst called Spirit Hide Leggings
