Wisps require magic weapons to be hit. Wisps are non-aggressive, however they are extremely sociable.

The three variants of lightstones that they carry are excellent lightsources for humans and the other blind races.

Recent patch made the requirement for magic weapons to harm some creatures no longer needed.

what do you do when a wisp that cons blue turns out to be "invulnerable" after you hit it?

You have to use a MAGIC weapon in order to affect willowisps.
