Do not attempt KK without a group of 30 somethings or until you are in the higher lvls, don't mean to be cruel, but this sort of action causes trains, especially in a dungeon like this.

My advice, if you even consider taking a venture like this, check https://everquest.allakhazam.com/Phreekittys_Ultimate_Guide_to_Kedge_Keep.htm, you won't regret it.

Griz spawn

At lvl 35, Griz was a breeze solo. Finding him is the rough part, Even if you are there when he spawns someone may beat you to him. Spinelly, The Treant you saw in NK is Xanussus, Not Griz, and he is a very tough tree at lvl 50. He's in the Druid epic. The Lancer fin has eluded me thus far, keep plenty of Scales on board! To avoid pulling more than one by casting, if you can, allow the fish to hit you 1st. None of the surrounding swordfish will agro if he gets the 1st hit and you can pull him away from the others. Not easy, but it works! Kuykendahl Fimbulvetr, 42 Shaman, Karana
Lancer fin

Dont believe what you are toold about the level of the Lancer swordfish. I am a level 40 and nearly got cained in the keep trying to get the fin. If you are lower than a lvl 34 you are seriously adviced to go mob handed.

Having no problem with these solo at 30. Being careful not to pull the impalers that sit around though. Score is Bear 10 Fish 0, but no fin yet =O(.

These guys hit really fast and hard, plus it's easy to aggro a bunch of them and be forced to zone. At level 30, I've managed to kill three of them, but I probably had to zone like 20 times because of all the times I accidentally pulled a yellow as well. Haven't seen a fin yet.

If you come down here, bring a lot of fish scales. I'm already 25% of the way through my only stack and don't know if it's going to last me.

All in all, I'd recommend you wait until 32+ to go for the fin - there aren't many Swordfish that are blue to a level 30. I got lucky and had Grizzleknot pop right in front of me in South Karana so I figured I might as well try to complete the quest.

When i was runnning through North Karana on the wall not knowing where i was going i saw him a little bit from the wall. Farther down the wall there was another treant the had a funny name and he was a caster, so just to let you know dont pull grizzlenot or what ever his name is down to the South Karana zone. just a little FYI.

Numerous lancers spawn in the entry area of Kedge, and if you are careful, can pull singles. Figure hits in the 50s and 60s, not that hard.
Totemic Brestplate

This is the easier half for the Totemic Brestplate. It drops the Lancer Fish Fin. Good luck in getting Grizzleknot bark.

That's odd. I have the Grizzleknot Bark, but I'm still a little nervous about going to Kedge. btw...I solo'd Grizzleknot for the bark.

Why are you doing the quest as a druid? It is for the Shaman Totemic BP. It can be multi-quested so you should ask if any of your shaman buddies wants to do the quest.

Just an FYI, Grizz is not just for shammy quest. He also drops some things for Pally, and Cleric quest's as well.. Believe it's the Aegis Of Life
Like an Ac12 +9wis shield with 1 or 5 charges of Superior Healing.. No Drop. Think you need something from a live griz and a dead griz.. Don't know.. Just happen to be reading it while on Allakhazams..

No, you've got that one wrong. It's not Grizzleknot for the Aegis, it's Lord Grimrot, in live and undead forms that you need to kill.
