There are two types of 'a goblin' in Butcherblock Mountains.

If you kill 'a goblin' wandering around the zone, around level 4-6, you get:

Your faction standing with <a Faction="365">Pickclaw Goblins</a> has been adjusted by -1.
Your faction standing with <a Faction="263">Guardians of the Vale</a> has been adjusted by 1.
Your faction standing with <a Faction="475">King Xorbb</a> has been adjusted by 1.
You receive 2 silver as your split.
You have slain a goblin!

but if you kill 'a goblin' near the dwarf statues and 'a crazed goblin', around level 26-29, you get:

Your faction standing with <a Faction="225">Clan Runnyeye</a> has been adjusted by -1.
Your faction standing with <a Faction="355">Storm Reapers</a> has been adjusted by 1.
Your faction standing with <a Faction="263">Guardians of the Vale</a> has been adjusted by 1.
Your faction standing with <a Faction="312">Storm Guard</a> has been adjusted by 1.
Your faction standing with <a Faction="475">King Xorbb</a> has been adjusted by 1.
You receive 9 gold, 8 silver and 9 copper as your split.
You have slain a goblin!

To change the factions, edit the NPC and then uncheck the faction boxes and hit submit. Then add in the new factions.

been in butcherblock killing the ones in the camp southeast of the pok book for past couple days trying to get one of these for my paladins newb armor. have seen tons of ringmail, and 3 or 4 brains, but not a single goblin skull. im begining to think that this drop is borked. my paladin wont look good in a full set of newb armor, minus the helm! (lol) at least this set is doable, unlike some on the fippy server. if i'm missing something, please, by all means, somebody correct me.

Watch out for the "a goblin shamn" variety! They WILL auto-assist each other and they pack a wallop, at least they did to this level 14 'Zerker. :)

well soe thought it would be funny.. i dont.
camped the gob camps with my lvl 12 bard all day looting all heads and blood vials.. went to the merchant to sell them all.. they are only worth 9copper now.. go figure

By now Gobs are dropping all kinds of rusty weapons, the ever popular faces and blood vials ( which are now up to 4.5pp for either a face or a vial on our server), skulls, brains, parts and the Shaman drops a totem of uselessnes as far as I can see, but you can sell it.

Gob camps are now boobie trapped for < lvl 7 players with Gob Wizards and Shaman. My lvl 15 Cleric cracked a sweat when both aggro'ed on him together.

Add crude bronze ore to the list (new Ranger / Dwarven / etc armor quests) 15 stones so I cant carry to many but then who needs newbie no drop armor... LOL, the also drop there heads, vials of goblin blood.. 3 pp ea... so this will make newbies happy

Must be a cruel joke. Call it 'A Goblin" and watch people run up to it and try to hack it without con'in it first...Well!

Thats right. I did it too. I tried to pick pocket it and WHAM!!! It hit me for 50 some-odd points. So I did what any trustworthy baskstabber would do....Find the nearest out post and pray that I could outrun the darn thing. I ran and it kept missing (thanks to my fancy foot-work). Thats when I con'ed it. Red of coures. I got to some guards with one bubble left and watched them go to work. I counted of the damage. Greater than 1900 HP. Now I have a vendeta! No one beats me to a pulp and gets away with it! Well maybe a few time they do...but I always come back!

Thank the Gods for the Sneak/Hide disappearing Rogue trick. Time for me to perform a corpse retrieval!

These high lvl goblins you guys are all talking about are at location 1300,1500 in BB. They drop the Blade of Nobility - A part of the Ghoulbane quest. They are lvl 25-35 methinks.. they con red to a lvl 20. 8o)

P.S. Someone ought to add "a crazed goblin" to this list. The are at the same camp, and also drop the blade.

I was in bb tracking the 2 ogres when i see a red goblin on my track. I decided to take a look. Well i attacked it and all of a sudden it hit me for 56 points of damage and bashed me for 30. At this point i freeked because i have never seen a goblin this strong. It took four gaurds that did more then 2k of life to kill it. I thought it might have been an error in the game because it was called "a goblin" so it shouldnt be that strong.

There is a goblin camp near Kaladim where three MOBs spawn. Sometimes they are called " a crazed goblin) and at other times just "a goblin".

The con dark blue to even for a level 30. Provide good xp and drop decent loot. Ringmail pieces; Fine steel weapons, and cash.

I dunno about 2k life... im a 36 rnge rnow and i believe the crazed goblins conned blue to light blue back in my lvl 26 days

All wandering goblins are of Pickclaw faction. All camped goblins are of Runnyeye faction.

The Pickclaws don't drop the warbeads.

yah, ive seen con red goblins to lvl 27 in BB, dont run into that camp, i can barely kite them, takes FM and its really close... or maybe i just suck =( ???

There are A goblins near the gravestone that con red to a 27. These gravestones are just SE of Kaladim and there seems to be 3 that spawn there, A goblin and A Crazed Goblin. Just a warning for lower chars who pass by that area.

HA! the warning came a little too late. i was running around the area, just scouting around (someone gave me a SOW,[i guess cause i looked cool :) ]) and i see a tree that something moved behind it. i started backing up (with the sow i fugued ill outrun it no prob) when it hit me. bang! down to one bulb (i was half down to start)so there i am crawling away when the next hit came...

thank god someone was camped, and he killed it, and i got my stuff bak.

Give them to Byzar Bloodforge and you will get faction and maybe sometine else.
He is in the Paladin guild I think in Kaladam

I killed the Goblins in the camp in south Butcherblock and got 2 strings of Runnyeye beads - are these quest items or simply random armor items?
