Yeah, I agree this mob is tougher than I expected. He's "only" level 76 but he IS a dragon, after alll and they're usually under-cons. This was a bit of a fight, with lots of dis-spelling going on and my warrior, with his 800 resists, actually got FEARED for a few seconds. Result was never in doubt, since none of my boxed toons every dropped below 70%. But don't commence this fight assuming that victory will be entirely trivial. At least it requires some effort!
The whole rogue 2.0 I was able to solo anything that came my way. So I figured i could do the same for my cleric. I spawned the guy, he killed my clerics merc instantly (J1 DPS merc) I swam under the tunnel and ran out the aggro Logged in my 90 rogue with 1.9k AA's with T1 or better HoT gear
The human version turned into the dragon at 85% HP Ran out of stamina halfway through the fight because I needed (Yes, NEEDED) to use my 10minute dodge disc Had to toggle my J5 Cleric between Reactive and Efficient so she didn't run out of mana. He spawned two minions at about 50% HP which had 80k and 116k HP. I killed them off and went back to Ragefire He spawned 4 more minions at 25 or 30% HP. Two of which had 140k, one with 95k and another with 39k I left them alone to beat on my cleric while I focused on Ragefire -- Big mistake. I then spawned another 2 minions somewhere because I remember seeing only 4, but then randomly I saw 6 total. The other two had 90k and 100k HP and all 6 were beating on my poor cleric so I had to get aggro from a couple of them. Ended up killing Ragefire by popping Third Spire and using the last of my 1-2% of my endurance with Rogues Fury which were the only offensive discs I was able to use during the fight.
Then I proceeded to clean up his minions
Ended the fight with 36% HP, Cleric at 65% HP and 16% Mana Total fight lasted about 15 minutes Combined: Zordak + Minion in 990s, 2312k @2335dps --- Bartin 2312k @2335dps (100%) Zordak alone - Zordak Ragefire in 591s, 1388k @2349dps --- Bartin 1388k @2349dps (100%)
Killed with a 90/6k mage and T5 cleric merc. Camped out lowbie cleric after turning in for two reasons: I'm not too good at boxing, and he was low enough to be a liability anyways.
Didn't bother trying to nuke or even use gargs on Zordak, just slow dps in between add spawns. I kept shadowflares and bodyguard up on myself (shadowflares on merc also)and tanked adds when they spawned, using gargs on them too. Used perfected lev and instaclicky to prevent too much dispelling, and group lev + see invis on pet.
Took about 5 minutes, merc finished up fom cause it was just chain casting RGC the entire fight, I had to do most of the healing (pet and myself), I finished up with about 80m.
This mob is not level 76. He conned red to my level 75 cleric and his friends that spawn with him were dark blue. So, that would make him at least level 80+. Please make the correction so folks don't show up with group of 75ish toons thinking "Oh yeah, this should be no problem". And, subsequently get hammered because they are under gunned.
Ask in general chat on your server. There is no reason a real live playing cleric should go to this fight underpowered. Any server that allows a live cleric (unless they are a complete asshat) to attend this fight without MASSIVE attendance from any guild doesn't deserve live clerics. I know clerics are often borrowed between guilds for raids, don't let any cleric that could potentially help you in the future go without your help. Any cleric that does get massive help should take note, what guild's sent help. Not that many 2.0 cleric fights are done nowadays, there would be no excuse to not help live clerics at this stage of their 2.0
Wow, muchly appreciate that post! Will try that approach soon and see what happens. My guild is small, but have a good rep. Ragefire only fight I need for epic, wish me lucks :) HUGS! :)
Might be a good idea for the cleric that is hailing the NPC to use Divine Barrier (29 spell) thus rendering them invulnerable for 18 seconds. This would allow the Tank to get agro off the cleric without the cleric going down instantly. Takes time to load so remember to load it early.
Killed with my Duel Box, 1 85 cleric, 1 85 Shadowknight, 2 cleric mercs. SK was roughly 30k hp, 4300 AC at the time of encounter, cleric about 30khp / 24k mana. Mercs were Void D versions.
The dispel takes off the first slot it sees, and is not random. Bring instaclicks clicks (at least two, preferably three). Watch out for any ATK instabuffs because deathly chants will eat it before the dispel. I was unable to resist the dispel most of the time even at maxxed resists.
Make sure to keep a hot on the tank and frequently redo promised spells. If the healers get feared, this will save your ***. Having a fearless tank made this a helluva lot easier as well, as did AE aggro when he ***** adds.
Adds spawn at percentiles, but I'm not sure exactly when. He popped 2 once, then 4 once, then 2 once. Adds have significant HP and are totally resistant to magic (resisted lifetaps and turn undead. Yes, they are undead). Ragefire did not enrage.
This was actually a fairly easy fight, but long, even if my explanation of the encounter makes it sound otherwise... he died on first attempt without any kiting or rezzing or other ********* Cleric went low on mana because I was largely using him for damage. Mercs ended fight with about 55% mana, main cleric at 30%, SK was OOM from pumping out dots (magic has a hard time landing, this includes lifetaps. Don't bother slowing).
Downed last night by 11 + 3 healer mercs and 1 tank merc. 85 Raid-geared ranger tanked Dragon, and when adds spawned all the other melee peeled to kill them. Most wiped at the 20% adds since there were still 30% adds up, but the ranger was able to finish off Zordak before he died. Cleric ran back, looted soulshard and all was well (the adds despawned). Thanks Bartlesen for doing most of the work, and everyone else who helped out, and grats Trelania, just 2.0 globe to go!

Just 1 grouped him, 2 monk, 2 warr, 2 cler. I guess the fact that all 6 were top 15 serverwide didn't help.. Hell of a fight, took 30 mins, in the end had to kite him around Golra isle for 20 mins to rez after a wipe on last wave of adds. Big thanks to Goodurden, Moscato, and Cocodrilo/Terese for getting cleric epic!
Our guild just did this fight x4 last night. There is a lot of excellent information out there and a bit more I can hopefully add.
First of all, the kiting idea is a fantastic one. In addition, having a designated dragger and rezzer in the underwater tunnel was also golden, as it is the sole reason we won on our first attempt. We adjusted our strategy, which was based mostly upon info here and on Cleric boards, after our first attempt due to the following information:
First of all, all forms of Gefaari Drokaz and Zordak Ragefire AE Rampage. Nothing like all melee getting quaded for 2k a pop when you're not expecting it. Yes, AE's are a royal pain but those were planned for. AE Ramp was not so we had to make some adjustments. Max melee range for all DPS. Rangers switched to range attack and snare duty. Heal potions ftw.
Second, we found it best to have our main tank (along with assigned Druid for heals and Ranger for snares) to start kiting at 62%, 32%, and 22% respectively. That way, adds always spawned away from the squishy Clerics. (FYI, we fought in the Oasis where turn in is done.) This worked out beautifully as the adds almost always spawned right at the shoreline and always went for melee instead of casters/priests.
In addition, Zordak is unslowable but can be malo'd, tash'd, snared, and crippled. Due to AE ramp, I highly suggest you cripple him asap and keep him that way. Adds cannot be rooted but can be snared fairly easily.
Also, it seemed as though we were always stunned the moment adds spawned. Be prepared for it, and things will go smoother. We had healers pop an AE HoT just before the last two waves of adds. Make sure healers know to switch heal targets to whoever is tanking the minions. Don't announce for Main Tank to come back from kiting until everyone is ready, even if adds are down. This is your chance to recuperate.
Lastly, Zordak started casting AE Fear at 30%, not 20% as previously described. In addition, the way in which he steps up his DPS is to go on a streak of AE Rampages. Be prepared for this increase in DPS and possibility for being Feared.
Hope this information was useful,

I've done it about 6 or 8 times so far, and I'm hoping to do it soon for my cleric. A few tips which might help.
0. It's not the melee that kills you, it's the AE's. You will be so busy dealing with fear, dots and stuns, it's likely the dispell will leave you naked by the end. 1. Kite the dragon away from the beach any time you aren't actively fighting him. This can be done with the main tank in the lead and one healer. Kiting works well while adds are killed and may help any time a lot of people are dead. 2. A rezzer may avoid all AE's if they never emerge from the water in the tunnel, and that makes a safe place to rezz. Just be aware of where your EB item is and loot it first. To keep the healer safe, you'll need a designated puller to drop corpses into the water. Because of the dispell, it's probably just as good to heal and go back in without buffs. 3. Fastest route to get there is from the druid port in BBM. North to the docks, translocate and then south to the oasis. If the whole raid knows this in advance, it may save a lot of time. 4. This is the nastiest of all 2.0 fights, but it can be chain-spawned. Get all your clerics to the same stage and you can knock them all out in an hour or two.
Hope this helps other guilds who have just reached this stage.
Fastest route in is Fir via then take that translocator on dock... ports you in half way in map in TD .. better then south ro where you must swim whole zone to get to loc...
Zordak's Minions (Spectres) spawn at 60% (2 of them), 30% (3 of them), and 20% (4 of them)
We bard or monk flop pull the human Zordak from his island to the beach on chessboard island. He has a 2 slot AE dispell. When the adds spawn we snare Zordak and the tank kites him along the beach and we put a Knight on each add and kill them off one by one. These adds have a 8 second AE stun. When the adds are dead we bring Zordak back and continue killing until the next set of adds. After the third set of adds are dead (4 spectres) we bring back Zordak to the raid and go ballistic on him. It seems that he only casts his AE fear spell after 20%.
He is chain spawnable. We did it with 34-36 Anguish/Tacvi equiped toons. It is very difficult with this many. Very close at the end.
Three waves of three "Zordak`s Minion" at 60%, 30%, and 20%.
Fyi, the chest which spawns when a cleric at the appropriate point in the 2.0 quest loots the soulshard is called "a chest". In two quick runs tonight, it contained "Discordant Bracer of Betrayal" and "Visor of Distorted Vision".
I just got done... Doing him. Took 46 Anguish Geared Folk and alot of time. Ya, this guys a tough cookie to break. But 1 happy-@$$ cleric in the longrun.
You think hes hard. Try kill The Melee Invulnerable Genie up in old school PoSky with... Melee! :D .. Or was it PoAir?
This has to be one of the stupidest fights ever, it is the hardest epic fight by far and takes a lot to kill him. Thanks sony for another stupid mob we have to kill!
The cleric 1.0 and 1.5 epic fight has been the toughest/one of the toughest of the fights - as the cleric epic is the most powerful. IMO, both of these are true here, too.
