a Cunning Dragorn

The Cunning Dragorn drops one of the seven signets needed for the quest to safely enter the Asylum of Anguish.

It was located NE in the map, but the area wasn't on the downloaded maps...

You go south, then north, then south and there is a unmarked tunnel that again goes north, go all the way north and turn east and he is there

For those doing Travelers and wanting to know how to differentiate the Sewers, the Text Grand Historian Rygua gives lists 2 names, you can tell which instance he's given you by matching up what I have listed below:

Craftsman Ferinio and Stonefoot are Sewer A
Silania Janaid and Nightfang Glider are Sewer B
Dragorn Foreman and Ukun Sentinel are Sewer C

From June 21, 2017 Patch Notes:
Quote:
Access to Asylum of Anguish - A Cunning Dragorn in the Sewers of Dranik and the Insidious Dragorn in the Dranik Catacombs no longer have placeholders and are now guaranteed to spawn in all three versions of these instances. They now carry six signets, but will not respawn.
Stuff below is right on.

Heya,

Just wanted to add my thanks and say that many of the posts below are spot on. We did this tonight and got 2 signets from the Sewers. We had 4 folks, lvl 79 cler, 79 bard, 70 monk, and 75 ranger. Bard or ranger tanked the mobs, so they weren't hard to tank with only 12,500 hps and 2200-2400 AC. If you don't have the signet yet (meaning, not raiding stuff), it's VERY unlikely you could solo. Duo is possible, but with adds, it would be tough. If you could handle 2 spiders or overseer robots at the same time in dragonscale hills, then you can handle going through this dungeon.

MOST IMPORTANT NOTE

As Tegwen said, "... when requesting the sewers instance, you want to make sure you get the one with the "Dragorn Foreman" and "Ukun Sentinel" for anguish signets."

This isn't obvious. When you talk to the Historian and tell him "Sewers" he actually gives you one of 3 quests. The ONLY difference is who they tell you might be inside. It MUST say 'Dragorn Foreman' and 'Ukun Sentinel' or you are wasting a LOT of time. Remove everyone and reget it. You can track from the round room near entrance to ensure the first is up, as mentioned below.

You can invis part of the way but will probably have to kill a couple at the traps. The floaty jellyfish guys see invis, so we just fought our way in at that point. Rumor is that Undead invis works. /shrug.

At the spawn place (as listed below), you should sit sort of in the water corner. That will give you one add. The 'a Cunning Dragorn' or his placeholder will pop every 20 mins.

Thanks to everyone for all their posts and good hunts,

Wyndaria,
Nameless.
Tracking the Cunning Dragorn

If you are trying to track the Cunning Dragorn from zone-in (to save yourself from killing PHs by getting missions til he is up), move to the round room at the end of the tunnel to the east of the zone-in area. From loc 538, -418 I could see him on track (75 ranger, 200 tracking, no track AA), but could not see him on track from the ent.

got my signet after trying 20 instances with ukun/foreman, cleared ph in 2 of them and waited for 1st repop, then decided to simply keep an instance and camp the thing. total of 26 ph's before he spawned.

This spot for tracking also worked for 75 ranger with just one of the tracking AAs.

sewers instance C

Just because I didn't see it here, I thought I would ad that when requesting the sewers instance, you want to make sure you get the one with the "Dragorn Foreman" and "Ukun Sentinel" for anguish signets.

Also, its a good idea to bring a ranger / druid with instant group invis to get past the traps and cut down on the BS before you reach the murks.

at that link is my old map with the traps labelled. (Guess it got deleted somehow.. or labels on diff layer)

You can get by the traps sometimes if you run fast enough, but you can also just use a invis Potion immediately when the trap breaks the invis. (thats what i do)

/loc is 1234, -933. Ph is a twisted stoneworker. Invis all the way to the murks then have drop invis and have cleric cast invis against undead and move into room just out side of the tunnel. Then just dive in and take out the ph and the single roaming murk in the hall and rinse and repeat ever 19.1 min. If you hit the last trap it's 50ft to far.

ez to solo for a shaman with some luck ;) or if u have Fd ring :D , either no see invis on instance and run at full speed there or u run there and use fd ring , then soloin is kinda trivial :)
FD Ring??

incase it's not on your map (it is on the one I downloaded)
Add this line to your draniksewersc_1.txt file in your map folder and save.

P 937.0000, -1212.0000, 0.0000, 255, 255, 255, 2, Signet_PH

Basically, you enter where the murks start, the dragorn at the end is a ph for another named, hang a left and follow the tunnel into the next room. Go along left wall into the next tunnel. The lone stoneworker there is the ph for signet.

Not too tough a mob, getting to him harder than getting rid of him.

Once in the camp can just kill PH and one wanderer every 17 mins or so and you're set.

How does a person SOLO this mob, when you need 3 people to get into the zone? Pray tell how would it be done? Also for those people who have solo'd this mob, what tips do you have of A getting to zone , and b pulling mob without adds, and c killing mob without dying
Soloable?
# Aug 20 2007 at 4:33 PM Rating: Decent
It isn't that hard to solo it. You can get Cloudy Potions for regular invis, and Philter of Unlife Awareness for normal invis. Once you get there you just have to kill one to two mobs every 20 minutes. At level 75 and soon to be 80.... Even without raid gear most classes should be capable of soloing it.

Well... i haven't solo'd this mob myself, but I got some sound assumptions:

a) The other 2 don't need to have to be in zone with you, especially now with the changes to /invite you can just get some friends parked in the bazaar or doing tradeskills or whatever to join your group and get the expedition
b) This mob is standing pretty much alone at his spot, there's just one roamer coming close every now and then and i guess even that Murkglider is avoidable if you pulled to the corner. Bigger problem is getting there, but I guess it's not too hard for some classes. I got there with a group without killing anything by casting either invis and IvU as mobs required.
c) Now... that's a good question :p But he's not really too hard, I guess a class that solos better than me do can handle that lone mob every 17ish minutes )

As i said... those are just my suggestions, would like to hear from anyone who actually does this =)
