Since this quest seems to be over on any server I play on, shouldn't this
one-time-only quest specific mob be in the mob graveyard? Just a thought.

how about some useful info on how he spawns, been in the tower ALOT and have never seen him even after wiping first floor, anyone know....?

no he is not rooted... we killed him today took like 25 minutes great fun fight... he will debuff you... no need getting rebuffed as he will debuff you again...and he also ports you to different locations on the 1st floor.. so clear all the mobs on the floor before you attack him... cleric line of MOK and MOR stuck to him right off... he cons yellow at lvl 70 and drops a reall nice ft3 regen 2 neck for casters...

hes isnt perma rooted,he dont have much hp u only need avoid his regen from about 3k per tick,u must also fight him out of pit that reduces the banishes,under 80% it seems hes casting AE more less.just park casters in room at zi and let meele get ping pong agro,so that casters dont get summoned,u nuke to and dot from the beginning on till end as hard as u can.we were 30ish peeps wiped on first 2 tries on third we figured it out.than the mirror to floor 2 was open,but we wiped there,seems like a trap that spawns many adds (looking like books hitting for 500ish) and AEs (root,dot,debuff and something else)we didnt started nother try cause few got raid calls.we gonna tomorrow again
dropped a 19/17 1hs with decent stats at 75dd proc attunable sorry cant remember name,will try to get right stats and post it

here is what i've noticed
- 100 dmg knockback
- ae dispell so dont even worry about buffing
- max hit 1500
- starts to summon at about 59%
- Fire dmg works the best, cold is resisted as well as poison
- Blind worked on it but it didn't do much good
- perma rooted
- banishes people around the first floor
- slowable
- lifetaps
- has crazy regenaration

We lost at 50% with a pick up raid people ranging from 55 - 70. We had about 30 people in. Here is what we did. We had 4 tanks in each corner around the pit with 2 necros chain dmf on them so they can get agro fast while they get dispelled, so they can run up and get back aggro fast. It was still hard to get agro because of knockback and that damn slippery floor. We also had to have 1 group watching the green adds that come after you get banished. We will try it again soon.

I recommend to bring a lot of casters and nuke the heck out of it.

How about posting a strat or some other useful information? Leave the one-liners for guild chatter and try to at least provide a record of the encounter ... as it is this proves absolutely NOTHING.

we just had a pickup raid of about 20 or so, avg raid lvl 68. didn't even get him past 98%. he has a HUGE regen rate, knockback, banishes you to various parts of the first floor, complete debuff upon contact (yes every single slot) and quads for up to 1500 per hit. hits ranged from 200 up to 1500.

tried it again after clearing out the first floor mobs - no better. and the respawn rate of those mobs seems to have been raised - they spawned much quicker than normal

this guy hits for 1k'ish and has a knock back that hit me for 2 he is mostly slowable. and seemed to warp me to every corrador if there was any mobs in there. all other mobs were Green and didn't cause a prob just annoying. was alone and couldn't kill this guy but just some info i've recover'd from it
