I've seen all these posts, and I have to add my 2gp (no I never stop at cp). Those bad boys in Oasis run from lvl 14-20+ , I've been in some good groups along the highway and derv camp, half the time doing the pulling and or tanking (18 DE SK at the time) and have had them con from light blue to red none of them were "A Orc"s , all "an Orc". If you are unlucky enough to run up against the high level ones.. stand still, beat them like little girls... if you run, you're not likely to survive unless SoWed.

I killed about 10 of these guys last night in SRO, and 2 dropped "pickbringer chainmail coif". While PC's aren't too impressed with ac 8, +1 sav against magic, the merchants gave me 22PP for these! that's incredible loot for this level.

My 17th lvl Rogue STILL fights Orc Warriors that con RED. I was recently in a group with a 19th lvl Pally.... and he pulled a RED (to him) orc warrior. There is a noticable difference between the 15th lvl orcs and the 20th (or better) lvl warriors. They have a lot more hit points and hit for around 50ish. I've seen the occassional 20th lvl orc drop excellent loot in Oasis... around 10 plats (I was in a full group and my split was 1 plat 7 gold).

I plan to kill these guys until 20th lvl. They give excellent experience and with the right group, it's non-stop killing from an endless supply of orcs. Nothing better that the cross roads in Oasis for 12th to 20th lvl characters.

this is kind of off the topic but at 18 my war got doubled for 40 by An orc warrior. They have a vast span of lvls. Some con light blue while others con even at 21

Just reading about the "A orc warrior"s and a posting says that the incorrect English has been corrected and all of them start with "AN" now. Will have to keep looking to see if I can find "A orc warrior" otherwise based on my near deadly encounter I would have to say there is no longer "A orc warrior" in Oasis anyway.?????

They must have combined the 'An Orc Warrior' and 'A Orc Warrior'... because I am seeing alot of these guys that con red to my L17 Paladin... and the ones that con red are very tough... Usually I am in a group and we usually are all very close to dead even after my LOH.

I have read the postings here and I spend a lot of time soloing "an orc warrior" s in Oasis. As a 17 Ranger I am very carfull not to pull "a orc warrior"! However this week I was killing orcs as usual and I pulled one that I just could'nt kill. This sucker conn'ed blue to me but was just cleaning the floor with my ***! I yelled for help and started running. Good thing there are lots of people at the Highway. Some one pulled him off me and I kept running untill a safe distance away to heal myself with only half a bubble to spare. The guy sent me a tell and to his surprise and mine he, as a lvl 23, got experiance for killing this "an orc warrior" crossbread thing!!!! Thinking back on it, I have yet to see "a orc warrior" so maybe the two have been combined or there are just some kick *** lvl 15 orc's out there. Just an unlucky, or lucky day, depends on how you look at it!?

"an orc warrior" are correct lvls,14-15, BUT "A orc warrior" are much tougher as of lvl 20+ which is what u got. So for all u lowbies that can take a red "an orc warrior" and u think u r kool, i cant wait til i c u get screwed by "A orc warrior"! U ARE Not Kool if u can kill red stuff! Especialy when u CANT tell the exact lvl ok?

These guys are rarely seen in nro, mostly in oasis, sro. In nro they will be along the oasis border usually.

I am just a lv 14 Enchanter. I was out today with my group hunting at orc highway. A Orc Warrior came apparent. Everything I threw at it was resisted by it. I could not help our party out whatsoever. Any ideas on what I can try in the future? Thanks!

As a chanter open up with Tashan its almost irresitable this will reduce its MR by 10, at leaaast it will help the other casters in your group. Now It's tashed maybe your spells will stick maybe not. If not mem Str and Mist and buff your tanks. You should have a pet up and go in and atack with a melee wpn just enough that a mob turns on you as soon as it does your pet will attack it and you back off. This will help take some of the heat off the rest of your group so what if your pet only does minimal damage its still all to the good

yes im chanter myself and have found that if a creature cons more than one level red give it up.. only spells even after tash i can stick on them is my choke line.. so tash, choke and buff your friends rather than debuff enemy if you plan to hunt high reds... Shadlok Terris-thule

I'm a 15th level 'Chanter and ran into one of these in a group the other day. It resisted all my spells too until I hit it with Tashan. Nothing like an unresistable resistance debuff. Try that next time.

i don't know but i was in a group of levels 15 to 18(full group).....i pulled one that was red to me not thinking anything about it....(only level 15 but i had a bow and could pull pretty good.....hit with arrow then high-tail it to the group)well the fight started off bad as after i pulled i backed off and watched a bit while a passing cleric healed me...when i looked up the level 18 war was getting smoked by him....so i figured i am only level 15 i can die and it will be ok...so i jump back in there and got hit for really close to 50 many times so i back out again...the whole time the casters were nuking away.....as soon as the three tanks got wiped out....me a level 16 and a level 18(16 monk...me and 18 both wars) got killed....our group headed to teh docks.....but it prolly would have worked better if our level 17 wizzy wasn't fighting a priest at first....but we got smoked...and the purpose of this post is to say i ain't sure what the level is but that one wasn't very good for me to pull and they can be pretty high since we only got him a little bit past half life....

What you must have pulled is A Orc Warrior.
The A orc warriors are lvl 20 or so, while An Orc Warior are only like 15.

Apparently the "An Orc Warrior"s from different zones have different level ranges. The one I killed today in SRO conned blue at 9.

They are much lower in South Ro, I was in there with two level twelves and saw tons of warriors blue, light blue and maybe even green. Also saw a dark blue orc priest.

I can only speak for the orcs in OASIS, and most may have already noticed this, but for those who haven't make sure you read. In OASIS there Aare NO MORE A ORC WARRIORS. They are now all AN ORC WARRIORS. I noticed this chage about a week ago when AN ORC WARRIORS start pounding me for the first time. I realized that i hadn't seen A ORC WARRIORS in days. It's been a week, and I still haven't seen them. But be warned the levels haven't changed, only the names. So next time you attack AN ORC WARRIOR make sure you con it first, because some of them are now 18+.

When I was a lvl 9 necro they conned even to me...
It was rather easy to kill and probably overconned (it wasn't a raider for those are all green at 9). I also conned another that was blue to me.

I think after a patch, the faction of the orcs in southern ro was changed. They now give faction akin to the orc pawns in the newbie freeport zones.

No it hasn't. Faction hit is still simply "Orc", not DF Clan, CB Orcs or anything else. This is at least true for Orc Warrior and Raider. I can't say for sure about the other types of orcs at the camp in the grassy part. But the roamers in the desert ares are on normal orc faction.

ok here us the explanation. at the orc camp in oasis, orcs spawn *duh*. there are orc oracles from lvls 11-15 and orc warriors lvl 11-15. BUT, sometimes a very tough orc will sometimes spawn with the same name. Hits for 42 and is 20ish. It will help other orcs so unless you are camping him just hit him and zone to sro then he leaves and you kill other orcs and hope he wont spawn again

Actaully the Orc that you are talking about is called "A Orc Warrior" instead of "An Orc Warrior" Subtle yet dangerous difference.
