Some of em con Blue to me at lvl 21. And yes they do drop the rusty shoulderpads on occassion. They are +5 str, -10save vs magic, and AC 3.

The gnoll commanders drop those nifty +2 agi rings! I hear they also dropped spiked shoulderpads(rusty)??

I am a lvl 22 rogue that hunts in bb because I badly need a bb cask (I am on Quellious Server if you can help me out) and for some reason, commanders and elites (both green) still sometimes attack me on sight. They wooped up to (when in groups fighting me while I was alone. I just don't get them... hmmm.

I would put the level from 16 - 20. At level 16 I could have probably soloed one (I never got the chance due to the quick spawn of 2 other elites, a shaman, and a guard surrounding the comm) . So when I decided to take on the comm room I usually partnered with someone level 15 - 17 to help me kill the little gnollies.

Or rather a single commander at a time. Sometimes I get the stuffing beat out of me, but with a partner or two, I could hunt them all day. Even when I was 13 or 14 I hunted commanders occasionally,(along with guards and elites) in a decent sized group.
At 15 they range from blue to yellow, tough opponents solo, but takeable.

I don't know where you get this level 15 for the Gnoll Commanders from. My 13th Warrior had a couple conn black. At the most yellow.

This here's a mistake I thinks. Dependin' on where ya hail from, BB is either ButcherBlock or BlackBurrow. This critter lives in the Blackburrow and not my ancestral home of the Butcher Block Mountains. All the folks who've already posted sayin' that ain't seen one in BB had best be bein' clear that some folk have seen plenty of em in BB if by BB ya means BlackBurrow. This is how confusion is caused and why the language of my ancesters is slow ta change and slower ta abreviate. 'sonly when I has ta speak the twisted tongue of men that I does so.

These are indeed in BlackBurrow, NOT ButcherBlock. The level seems accurate however, as one of my other chars(17 wiz) hunted these guys for many days and they were ALWAYS a 'blue' con. If they ever were lvls 20-22, they certainly aren't anymore.
