The gnoll shamen have changed. Now they look like every other gnoll and have gone up in rank. I'm a level 8 enchanter and every one I saw conned "What would you like your tombstone to say?"
On my way back from killing Blackburrow I ran across a Gnoll Shaman. When I killed him he dropped a Mystic Doll (+3 CHA Secondary Melee All-ALL). It's no drop so you can't sell it but if you are looking for a little CHA boost from a relativly easy foe I would suggest you pick up one of these.
the gnolls that spawn in the daytime in Lake Rathetear serve Rodcet Nife and are therefore good. The undead stuff that spawns in their place at night would be considered servants of Bertoxxulous. I've seen a daytime spawn gnoll that was still there when the undead started spawning get into a big fight with the undead there.

And Second I get a gnoll paw every once in a while but i cant find a quest for this item. The one in the quest DB is for the one in surefall.. does anyone know what or who I am supossed to give this to. Merchants will not buy them so that is out.
I am a level 19 (well 20 now after picking off a few of the other gnolls in the area hehe) paladin and my God is Rodcet Nife. My question is, the shaman and the high shaman in Lake Rathe judge me amiably, so I walk up to them and hail them and they say something like All hail Prime Healer Prime Healer good. Isn't that weird? well anyways, for fear of ruining my faction with the temple of life, I won't kill them. Does anyone know anything about this?
The wooden totem adds +10 to ones mana supply (as mentioned by Timmer). I think it must be equiped in the shield hand for it to work (I know it is equipable). These shaman also drop a copper ring. Is this a quest item or just cheap jewelry?
Okay, I have no problems with the picture here of a Lake Rathe gnoll as opposed to the BB gnoll requested by the previous poster. After all, it's the same MOB, just with a different skin texture. Same health, same level, same MOB. What I object to is the arrogance of someone who feels that just because they got to this MOB from BB, it should be that gnoll that gets the picture. I know that BB is the more preferred hunting ground for these particular nasties, but the Rathe ones deserve some recognition, too.
You see up there where it says "known habitats"? If you go to the section for either zone, each one will have a link labelled "a gnoll shaman." However, there is only one entry for "a gnoll shaman" in the bestiary database. Whether you get to this entry by clicking on the link under Black Burrow, or the link under Lake Rathetear, you end up in the SAME PLACE. So, there is no particular reason why it should be a picture of a bb gnoll instead of a lake rathe gnoll.
Not really too tough at all, but I still hate them. One night I went LD in the comm room of BB, which if you don't know is the spawn point of 4 elites, 1 comm, 1 shaman, and the high shaman. I logged back on in the morning and found I was all alone in the room. The high shaman wasn't there, but the regular shaman rooted me many times and was the reason why I died.
