How hard does this mob hit? The expeditions I've done mobs hit for 400's+ max =/

I started the Murkgliders Hive Expedition with my 62 SK along with a bot cleric (65 who would log after the Expedition was started) and my shammy (69 2-box).
Place Holders:
One was the normal "a tatterwing bat" located inside the 3rd circular room on the map that will eventually spawn the named "Yellowfang", who incidentally is a rat.
Second was the normal "a hideous rat" just outside the same cave (3rd circular room) that will eventually spawn the named "Swaying Murkglider".
Funny how the Bat PH is for the Rat and the Rat PH is for the Murkglider.
Anyway, it seems the FT2 Aug is the rare as I have killed numerous “Yellowfang”s and have only gotten 2 of these wonderful gems (Jagged Stone of Intellectual Renewal).
The “Swaying Murkglider” also has a rare drop (Silent Bow of Control).
I was primarily doing these Expeditions in the hopes of some Rune drops but after killing approx 20 – 25 named (within 4 or 5 different attempts with the same characters and PH locations), this dungeon has yet to produce a Rune for me (Post Oct 2, 2004).
Now I did start another Expedition with a lev 66 BST but the PHs were in the “normal” location of nearly the back end of the dungeon as described by the Map I had downloaded. This expedition DID produce 2 Minor Runes within about a 1 hour camp but the mobs were harder.
In addition, I have also done a full group Expedition that was started by a lev 70 character with the named in the 3rd circular room again and THAT expedition produced several Runes over the course of 3 hours.
I’m starting to believe that a lev 62 spawned Murkglider Hive Expedition is not capable of producing Runes anymore?

It would not surprise me at all if in order for runes to drop the person getting the expedition would have to at least be lvl 66, would be strange for runes to drop when someone who can't even use them gets the expedition.
*Just to add an idea here, if you are not above 65 yet you could always have a friend come get the expedition for you, they don't need to stay in the expedition. Once you get it you can go in and then farm runes. Although it would be a lot haeder to farm murkglider hive since soe made it hard to invis there. Although, you can get there pretty fast by killing only when you have too and invising past whenever you can, I've done this with some groups, just keep switching reg invis and undead invis.

Do Yellowfang and the Swaying Murkglider share the same PH (i.e.: a hideous rat)? I camped here the other morning, and got the murkie and the swooping to spawn, but never saw the named rat...guidance, please? If nothing else, this seems a solid way to bump up the FT on twinks, as well as retro-fitting EP gear to rid yourself of sub-par FT gear without dropping your FT.

I just camped Yellowfang and that Swaying Murkglider today. Got some armor and a +2 Mana Regen type 7 aug also but no runes yet.

yup he still drops runes dropped a couple for us on the 8th. Also droped a very nice +2 mana regen aug any slot :)

Yellowfang and Swaying Murkglider used to drop Runes prior to 02OCT, does anyone know if they still drop runes since then?
I've been there everyday for 4+ hours and have killed Yellowfang 5 times and Swaying Murkglider 7 times and not one rune has dropped.
Either really bad luck or Nerfed? Lvl 62 got the expedition when I got 10 runes total and also lvl 62 got the same exact expedition after 02OCT and no more runes....

I had a level 61 help create the expedition and I've killed Yellowfang x2 and the Swaying Murkglider x2 and found no fangs. Just their normal loot.
