as of today, captain bosec is un FDable, if you accidently run in to him you will have to /quit or zone in order to erase agro, even if he returns to his spawn spot he will run across the zone(wow, what a far run)to beat you down, not to mention hes an undercon and not worth it to kill him.

I think Bosec is bugged when it comes to Iksar Monks, when i FD he will stay there literally 10 minutes or more i have to quit out of the game for him to leave sometimes when every other mob it takes less than a minute.

you'd think they'd give the Captain fine steel or better but his lowbie guards are better equipped.

Ok, so there I was, on the wait list for the raider group and the warrior group, just trying to make level 35 (2 blue can be a very long way away), and I see a guildmate slapping around a few guards. We are a mostly evil guild, I see nothing wrong with this, the only reason I do't attack guards regularly is because I need the faction in some cities to get around. So he hails me, I let him know my situation, and he informs me of his actions, slaughtering the guards for fun and profit. I agree that, since my faction is "apprehensive" I will group with him (Iksar Monk). I being a Human ShadowKnight, and he being his amazing scaled-fisted self, we together made short work of the guards that dared get near us. I finally hit 35 after killing about 8 guards, tried to con one, and faction was "dubious" again, but hey, I can live with that. We part ways, I wish him luck, and I begin to head downstairs, hitting up the bank. I see him then, on the way down, fighting the captain, and think to myself, "This guy won't last long, and he has failed his feign death twice now, I should help my evil brother". I quickly invite him into a group again (as not to kill steal) and rush into combat, to his rescue. As I'm pounding away on this foolish guard, I think to myself "Nah... this one kill couldn't possibly take me from "dubious" to "threateningly"..."

So now I'm Kill on Sight in highpass and highkeep.

Someday I won't care at all about faction, and I'm just going to clear everything good in this zone.

In the EQ Atlas it show the captain as located near the front of the keep but he has apparently been shifted as he now 'patrols' the area at the bottom of the steps next to the bank, a lot shorter walk for those looking to cash in some ears.

Give him ears but only one in each slot. He gives you monez and XP for each. However, if the ears are stacked in a slot he only gives you one lot of XP and money for the WHOLE stack.

Hey Ren 8) You don't know me much but when I use to play I saw ya alot in auction channel 8) Good luck on the smithing oh yeah I read your flame on * ugh forgot name now* The Hum Sk that kept bugging ya for the prices and couldn't get a clue :P anyway Ran Does assist I think he did for my cleric a few weeks back seeing how he was a halfling I just ran behind him, but im not sure only fight gobies with casters or a class that can't solo guards well =/ But im pretty sure he still assists and after abour 3/4 swings he AE's

Hello adventurers! When you're busy killing all of those goblins, why not take their ears? Give 'em ta me, and I'll reward ye! I like to eat 'em, and besides, we could use the extra help around here.
