Killed today with 85 War full HoT tier 1, and 85 tier one cleric. Warrior was buffed to 42khp and 5100ac. Fight goes a bit like this.
He will con ready to attack, but no worries he will not until you do hand in.

I ran through and aggroed all 5-6 mobs around him (conned light green). Killed them all no sweat.

Medded end up a bit, then rebuffed all my clickies and slapped on lev+ spider's bite potion.
Double checked cleric mana then turned in, immediatly aggroed.

I fought with my back between the wall/pillar thing almost directly behind him.

All my resists are 600ish so this is how it went.

Whirling smash (the FD spell) never landed, completly resisted throughout fight.

Whirlwind slice hit about 1/4 of the time only hit for full dmg maybe once. I did get spam that I was stunned, but it was maybe for a half sec if anything.

Death strike was the issue. This will knock your dps into the dirt. Esp since he resist's spider bite pretty regularly. It will cut your swing speed, other than slashing my dps, didn't do much else.

This is basically how the fight went. He did cast his other spells pretty regularly but since I was resisting pretty consistently, I didn't really concentrate on it much. I was too busy watching merc cleric hp/mana. You do have to try and rubberband the merc out of the way, otherwise the rampages will eat their mana up. I've noticed when fighting old raid mobs solo that you have to learn to do this, cause they will burn mana for every tiny smidge of hp they lose it seems. The cleric did get knocked by the whirlwind from time to time, but at least they don't aggro more mobs back.

Started fight Duel Weild with Blade of Tortured Souls Primary and Fabled Obsidian Battle Sword Secondary. Burned Discs Punch Through, and Mighty Strike also spammed kick/knee strike/Maelstrom Blade rk2.
Krekk at 90ish.
Continused with DW but started to notice swing speed drop, spammed everything that came up Kick/Knee strike/rampage/Maelstrom
Krekk at 85ish. Clmerc mana at 70ish.
Didn't like those numbers so started to scratch my head at this point. So I swapped to Fearless Bulwark Shield and Tort blade primary started burning defensives at this point. (Armor of timeworn runes, Final stand).

Burned defensives mainly to give cler a chance to regain mana (at least that was the idea).

Krekk down to 50ish at this point, my dps still sucking (full aa's in flurry, weapon stuff).

Then light bulb moment. Noticed more consistent HP drops on him when procced pets from Fabled Obsidian Battle sword.

Swapped Primaries from Blade of tortured souls to Fabled Obsidian Battle sword.

Pets hit him pretty consistently for 250-350ishper pet x 4 pets (stacked proc), and were NOT affected by his aoe slow, they did die fast when he whirlwinded.

Took Krekk down to approx 20pct hp. Cleric was almost OOM...5pct give or take. Popped Riposte Disc to attempt to boost Merc mana.

12pctHP Not looking good at this point, Cleric oom, My HP starting to drop...started praying to Jesus, Rallos Zek (I swear I should have picked when I was born, my war is agnostic human).

I'm at 50pcthp started swearing about how I should have waited until Guildies got on..

Miracle started happening..The Heal over Time spell my cleric was casting seems to be very low mana...this kept me going and he really was only getting the occaisional 350ish hit and a rare 1200ish hit.
Finally died..looted up sword just as mobs started repopping...

What I should have done for the whole fight, but didn't (learn from my mistakes).

Put on a Damage Shield Potion..

Stayed Sword and board (with Fabled Obsidian) after DW with mighty strike ended.

Brought someone for DPS (this fight took a long time).

Was hairy at the end, but satisfying to drop him after he ate my guild up 4 years ago..

Took him down with 80 Ranger, 80 Cleric and 76 War (boxed). Ranger highend raid geared, Cleric mostly TSS raid geared some Coa, War gimp (just there to trigger event and eat ramp/off tank adds).

Cleared all trash including platform which was last. Triggered event and pulled him to side of platform against wall. Parked cleric above fight on wall so AE wouldnt toss him out and agro adds, he just went further up wall. Had two adds on respawn which war offtanked one while ranger burned other named Ikaav and stayed on epic named. Only slight issue was after AE ranger would get summoned back behind named and get disoriented. Fight was tough at times with casting interrupts. Ranger oom at end with cleric sitting at 29%. Overall a win and gratz gimp war on his 1.5.

Final FIght and how to win
# Jan 11 2007 at 3:42 AM Rating: Decent
This fight is actually pretty simple. Here are some tips:

1. Make a Hotkey and call it FD or something. It should look like this:

For Healers:

/stand
/target <insert Tank name here>

Continue heals

For Melee:

/stand
/assist <Insert Tanks name here>

For Casters:

/stand
/assist <Insert Tanks name here>

Your Tank should also have one setup to imediately aquire Krekk and continue attacking.

2. Ensure the WHOLE RAID has some form of lev on. This is probably the most important aspect of this fight. Without Lev you will be thrown very very far. I have seen folks get thrown completely out of the room Krekk is in and down the path a ways. This is where the numerous adds come into play.

3. Clear all trash mobs around Krekk even the ones on the paltform and be ready to start the Krekk battle immediately after all trash mobs are dead.

4. Keep Krekk near where he is standing and DO NOT get him near the walls. Keep him in the open as much as possible.

5. Group members stay close to each other for group heals. We have had folks get spread out and die.

You obviously can put a bard in the MT group to help with resists but we have done this fight without a bard in the MT group and still pretty simple. Healers used Group heals when needed.

GL all on your quest to your 1.5 :-)

Would it be possible to add Whirlwind Smash to the effects used? We were not expecting it and got us a bunch of adds. Wiped at 30% thanks to all the adds picked up by people being tossed. That little piece of info could save others. lol

Thanks,
Shash

4-boxed krekk this morning. set up by the wall to the SE of krekk after clearing the trash mobs. High end group geared cleric (9.5k mana/11k hps buffed), GoD geared bard (13k hps buffed), demi/DK beastlord (17k hps buffed), high end group geared warrior (16k hps/ 2.5k AC buffed -- only defensive aa's up through omens completed). Bard didn't melee most of the time, just twisted warmarch, veeshan, storm blade, manasong (in retrospect, storm blade was useless considering how resistant krekk is, use song of dryads instead!)

Pulled him near wall and boxed him in (you can push him through the wall, so be careful!). beastlord attempted to slow for about a minute, resisted every time even with bard debuffs so just fought unslowed. Once I was done spamming slow, had warrior take aggro and hit defensive. Cleric CH was easily enough to keep warrior up with defensive, just have to watch for KB interrupt. Lots of aggro bouncing due to KB, cleric had to use several group heals, celest regen, beastlord paragon. Cleric ran oom at about 40%, so popped last mana potion (full mana restore -- claim reward for OoW box I think). With fresh bar of mana, using more mana intensive heals wasn't a concern, hit offense discs on beastlord and burned it down. Krekk fell several minutes before trash started respawning. If i had to do it over again, I would enlist the aid of a mage for more damage shield and a second healer to keep group healed. Resisted the AE most of the time, wasn't really much of a concern.

I have a tough time with this, as we just attempted a single group on him. Group makeup was NOT ideal, but the warrior was COA geared 19.8/3400 AC buffed, 12.5k mana cleric and 13k mana mage, along with the 75 gimp warrior needing the epic, a gimp 9k mana shammy and another shammy. We wiped at 65% as we didn't have the DPS and was resisting everything the shammies tossed at him. The Slice has a huge range.

4 boxed with people with less stats than us seems far fetched

Obviously you did not notice he said GOD gear and DEMI gear. His warrior was way geared. We have had ppl in guild take him down quite easy with only 6ppl and they are all Anguish geared. You said "GIMP" geared shamans and such. With that being said, Guess you need more then "GIMP" geared ppl to take him down. Maybe a "GIMP" geared Raid. Think before you speak, especially when you have no experiece on taking him down.

But other then that, GL on getting it done. Either bring more ppl or more Equipped ppl.

Obviously you only saw GoD gear and Demi gear and got all excited. 16k hp 2.5 k ac warrior is ok but it's not "way geared". His bard was GoD geared, good armor but coa stuff better and his bst was Demi geared, Thats good stuff. Try re-reading posts, move your lips if ya have to, before flaming.

We killed him by 12 characters/3 souls. We have no EP/Time/Qvic/CoA armor or better, we have many DoDH task's reward and chest drop.

Group-1 are WAR/PAL/CLR/CLR/DRU/SHM, Group-2 are WIZ/WIZ/ENC/BRD/MNK/ROG.
All character is level 70, WAR has 2900 ac and 14k hp, all casters have 9k-10k mana.

1st try, we wiped at 50% hp, caz CLRs couldn't keep to heal by Krekk's Whirlwind Slice and Whirlwind Smash.

2nd try, BRD sang AE SvMPD up song with most boost by percussion instrument, CLRs used HoT and QHeal as their possible.
Once a WIZ had been slained by Krekk, caz WAR got Death Strike and Whirlwind Smash same time, then he couldn't keep hate.

But we kept Krekk as it is, and slained. Our fight lasted 9min 30sec.

I always like to hear how ppl with "regular" gear take raid mobs down easily. I am very curious about the gear though, since you stated that the characters were basically lacking any raid gear. I would like to know what possible DODH/chest gear would give a lvl 70 warrior 2900 ac, whether or not he's been buffed by lvl 70s. You should provide us with the gear breakdown of this character, it would serve as an enlightening shopping list to some of us.

Finally got this guy last night, 1st attempt had around 20 peeps and 3 clerics, got him down to 8% before Re-pops decided to join the fun. 2nd attmept it was no contest had about 30 for this run and just pulled him closer to the wall and beat him down, MT so long as leved will not have a problem with G-flux he summones you right back. At about 50% he hit his FD AoE, had another War and SK for aggro control. Only deaths came from his Enrage the last 10%. Chest Loot was the Sicly Glowing Earring.

I have attempted this guy twice, and failed both times, Both times had over 30 peeps to help. First time wiped due to repops at the arch, And watch pets, soon as you hail and he starts attacking His AE will set all the pets on him, and can make it a pain to get him where you want him to go. 2nd time figgered I would pull him to a cubby hole I found just up the hill under a ledge as part of the wall. That was working till he got pushed through the wall and started summoning me, and the healers, alone there was no way. Where can you take this mob and corner him...or does it have to be a surround the mob type of fight.

When you wiped, did you lose your item on turn in and had to redo entire epic 1.5? Or can you simply raid him any time you think you can drop him, because you are at that point of your epic?

Would really like some help here please.

basics for this guy.
clear the area around him then do turnin. He is slowable, his ae will knock you around so be careful. another ae can FD you so stand up if you see everyone else layin down. I'd suggest get magic resist 250+ so the effect isn't as severe. must lev or the knockback will be your raid killer. get 2 or 3 tanks to keep aggro. if he FD's the raid you want to make sure you have someone fast enough to get up and get aggro again. other than that just dps the crap out of him and the end result is a nice toy for your tank.

If you get a few war's who are up to this guy just wait 30mins or so and he respawns. so you can get war epics all night if ya want

Must be done by person who does the hand in as far as I know. You get an invisible flag when you finish your dialog with Korbuk.

I haven't tried to cheese the encounter, so I don't really know what would happen if an otherwise completed warrior tried to give the sword to another or if someone else tried to ninja it.

Recently, I saw a link of "Raging Sword of Eternal Power." It has the EXACT same stats and look as the Champion's Sword of Eternal Power. It even has the same proc. But there was no info about it on this site. Has anyone else seen something like this?

Your progress is saved so if Krekk resets(wipe, server crash) after you handed in your items a simple hail would set him back at your stage.
although i cannot comfirm this, luckely got him without wiping.

Portions of the AoE seem resistable, and portions of it seem not.

With resist well into the 400's, I got hit with it in some fashion on every cast. Damage seemed reduced to non-existent, but I did seem to get the stun most if not every cast. Overall damage to the group wasn't a huge deal from what I saw, so it implies that others were resisting the damage portion well too.

The AoE started with a slight grav flux that moved everyone slightly to one side (so a bounce and shift). All had lev, so the effect was pretty much limited to the stun and whatever damage wasn't resisted. Somewhere below 50% (going to guess at 40%), the AoE added a FD component that was not there to start with - make sure you're people are informed and ready to stand back up as the stun wears off.

On the raid I helped with, there were something around 25-30 people for the Krekk kill. He seems very doable with less than that assuming that you get down to business when his area is cleared and that you have the DPS to get him killed (get respawns during the fight, and you're probably going to have a tough time). Our fight lasted approximately 5 minutes.

Brief overview:
You can find him up the hill to the east of the Laborer camp and Tiorpat. Clear roamers from below, buff, and be ready. When ready for the fight, clear his room including the snakes up on the platform near him in quick sequence. Move in to the right (he is no aggro until turn in). Get any dead rezzed up and buffed FAST and people to FM. Do turn in and fight as soon as possile - keep things moving or you'll wind up with repops in the end and all sorts of trouble. Get him down, and start rezzing - have your tankage ready for repops in the room there.

That's all from this go around on him - maybe more if I see him again.

He's been updated since patch... he now has a built in FD proc much like some of the ikkinz mobs.. And as he gets lower, he starts doing a much tougher AE nuke..

We had almost 4 groups there, wasn't a problem but it was tougher than before for sure

Believe so...fought him today and had a FD AE twice
1st one also removed all endurance
2nd one removed all mana from casters
Unfortunaly didn't see hwat health levels this occured but we wiped at 8%
