Still seemingly bugged after the 12-15 patch. Group has killed him once, knows the the event, but has been down on Zeb otherwise since OOW came out mainly.
On server up we headed here. Killed the red dragorns. The last one became nonaggro/nonattack etc etc.
Just tried this script after server crash and reset. It works. When killing the red dragorns you have to be down in their area. Others nearby can aggro when you pull, but when our chanter tried to mez they would resist, run to Tiorpat and reset at spawn points. Make sure your tank does not leave melee range nor pull them far away or the one you want to kill will do the same, not sure whats up with it.
As for Tiorpat fight. First off, he hits from 301-1500 and flurries. Whoever said 900s is lying thru his teeth or can't read numbers correctly. He dropped me in all of 2 ticks of combat thanks to DI working for me. During that time, he already had called for 2 friends to join the battle, so dont be expecting much time to play with guy before the blue dragorns decide to come over and play.

Depends entirely upon your level, gear, AAs, etc. Max hit on our warrior during defensive was 875ish but he has 13k+ hp, 2k+ AC, and most of the defensive AAs.
Damage Base (DB) + (Random Number from 1-20) * Damage Increment (DI)
Each mob has a fixed value for DB and DI.
Shielding affects DB, so 35% shielding will reduce base damage by 35%. So for example a mob with DB of 100 and DI of 25 would normally have a max hit of 100 + 20 * 25 = 600. 35% shielding would reduce this to 65 + 20 * 25 = 565.
Mitigation affects the distribution of the random number. You can still get hit for max, but it is less likely.
Warriors get an innate 5% reduction in the DI number.
Disciplines also affect the numbers - Defensive multiplies the DI value by 50% and this is what could account for a difference between maxes for 1500 or 900 (e.g. if the mob has DB of 300 and DI of 60).
So, apart from a relatively minor effect from shielding, gear does not affect MAXIMUM hit, but can help you get hit for less on average.
All this information has been stolen from The Steel Warriors forum, where they have done an amazing amount of work deriving these calculations.
Actually, Shielding (the percentage effect on some gear) directly reduces incoming melee damage by that percentage, cumulative up to 35% which is the cap.
So yes, with max shielding a hit for 1000 will in fact be mitigated to 650. Shielding rules. Get it.
Actually, Mr. Mcoolidge, you are quite wrong. Shielding works as the poster above you noted.
Still, shielding is critical on mobs with massive DB.
The cap is indeed 35% and you should indeed get it.
But it is not a straight % damage reduction like say, Panoply of Vie the cleric damage mitigation buff or Guard of Alendar the chanter spell mitigation buff.
Wanted to try this event today, Named was up and 2 red colored (sympathic and pensive), and a bunch of blues (hecklers and realists). Only 2 of them were attackable 1 was a blue heckler that would agro when I pathed by but if I didn't do anything it just run back to spawn. I could attack it but didn't want to kill since it was blue colored. Other attackable mob was another blue heckler that was just standing there letting me attack it again I didn't kill it since it was blue colored. No other mob responded to hails or were able to attack. Was this event bugged b4 I got here or is color not the issue but names are?
We experienced the same thing.. only attackable ones were blue and only 2 red ones up. Could someone who has done this before please explain what the right situation is for this encounter? How many red guys should be up?
OK Great info here Everyone Really apreciate it On MY server its a screwed event. There is Only 1 sympathetic Dragorn standing by his side and then just him. No blue dragorns anywhere sept off to the i think east by a bench. Now my question is do the red dragorns u have to kill to make him targetable spawn right at the base say what would be like 15 to 20 feet around him. along with the blues in same area. or Do they spawn all over and u have to hunt them down. Such as one red dragorn roams the bridge near by another is by a tree on the hill another up by the cave entrance from bloodfields ? It is my understanding they all spawn right at the base of the statue ? any info would help thanks
Don't kill any blues under any circumstance, if you run out of range, the dragorns reset aggro, so kill all the reds and Tio becomes targettable. He flurries often, and hits for around 900s. Regen is insanely high for a small content, need atleast a full group of DPS, very high resistant to slow. Everytime he calls for help, one of the blue dragorns wake up and assist him. Need to get them tash'd and malo'd and mezzed.
The script is not bugged, but you need to be carefull of what you kill if you want to have Tiorpat become targetable. As long as nobody has messed up the script, once Tiorpat spawns you need to kill all the "Red Colored" not "Red Con" dragorns. DO NOT kill any of the "Blue Colored" dragorns or the script will become messed up and he will not become targetable.
double posts from 2 different people saying "so it's bugged" ...
A "script" is an event where a group/raid must FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. Not following them and having the "wrong" spawn/occurances does Not make the event bugged!
Above is just a simplified explaination of what a "script" is... (i remember when i first started and was swamped with acronyms and terms from eq. You gotta learn somewhere... I hope someone out there finds this one helpful)
I'm not going to flame you, I'm going to educate you :)
A script should be fool-proof and fault-tolerant. A player should be able to take any possible action and not "break" a feature of the service they're paying for.
Example: If you buy a piece of software and it crashes by pressing the right mouse button instead of the left when trying to save a document, wouldn't you be upset with your purchase?
Today via xserver tell I received some interesting info in regards to this event (courtesy of rallos.Suey). At the time of this posting the event is still in progress but I need to log for sleep before I can get further information. Suey's group noted while doing the event that one of the red sympathetic dragorns was not attackable nor would he attack. It was discovered that one of the hecklers was killed prior to all the red mobs being down which possibly blew the event.
It is also appears from the posts here and the info relayed to me that the proper way the event was supposed to script was reds then blues then named however we got a bugged and less hassle ridden copy during my go (only had to kill reds). Will update this if/when I get more info. I personally have not done this event since the first time. No one seems to really like hunting here.
Well we killed him last night on rallos.Dropped 2 69 runes and sceptre, Sceptre has no stats and is no drop??We killed him with me 66sk MT and playing a 65 wiz, 66cleric healing and 67 enchanter slowing. Was fairly easy I just had to lifetap through the flurries (just to be safe) -was very long fight becuase of lack of true dps but we killed him. Yuo do have to clear all the reds first before pulling the blues-I walked up to the red uninvis and tried to atatck and couldnt and he did not attack me.
I was in the group with Carth when we took this guy out last night. I just wanted to add that the red (colored) mobs were highly resistant to spells. I switched to lure of ro and then got no resists and let me tell you, on Torpat I was doing some casting. This is a very long fight with a single group. Luckily our tank did a great job of keeping aggro since I was chain nuking my lures. I was the very happy winner of the bracer http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=70562 All in all it was a fun fight, takes a well put together group if you plan on single grouping him but once he's slowed it is quite doable.

well tonight was my first time ever seeing this guy and it freaked us out. we were killing the named Ukun dog and all of a sudden all these dragorns spawned and we evaced jsut in time. we ran back to the camp and started killin the red colored ones and then pull the named. upon pullin him make sure there are no blue dragorns or they agro to his add(u dont need to kill them unless they are in pullin path) my sk got a lil ahead of himself and pulled when i was at 30m(69 clr here with about 6.5kmana) we finally got him slowed and i did not have a prob healin. we had a tank/pal/sk/me(clr)/enc/wiz. after we lowered his resists enough he didnt take too long. about a 5mins fight or so. diffenently one grpable once u get him slowed. he dropped the int caster bracer and 2 69runes. what i am wonderin though is if this is like a mini ring event? or does he just spawn every now and then. ive farmed RC for a week or 2 and never seen this guy.
Reposting this info here now that he has his own page. I am going to include the info that was found here from Niadina (thanks for that update!). I know that a lot of folks look under the mob for info so they may miss this info from the beastiary listing.
In advance, pardon me for missing some details. I was of the assumption (which was incorrect) that the info was already here. This named spawns near a statue below Souldrainer and is announced by his zone wide emote. Yellow con to 67, red to 66 places him about 68-69 in level. His emotes talks about being rid of the intruders and not living under their thumb as well as other timed and disconcerting comments.
His mini script spawned on my group when we were fighting and one of the mobs, a sympathetic Dragorn (I think that was the name, it was something sympathetic though) agroed my rogue who was doing outside the group dps. As I said before we were on the hill below Souldrainer (which a guild was killing prior to this and his AE range is huge) so we pulled the closest ones to us up the hill and killed there.
There are 2 model colors that spawn; blue and red. The red color (not /con!) are the only ones we pulled or that added during the pulls up to the named and varied in names from a sympathetic Dragorn to a pensive Dragorn, with varying degrees of resistance to magic. The a Dragorn heckler are the blue colored models which never attacked. On some mobs the shaman got slow to land without trouble but there were times that intially only enchanter slow landed right away and vice versa. Mezzing is a pain to stick even with them all debuffed. My mage got resists on his Rock of Taelosia and Sun Vortex about 30-40% of the time.
Each mob seemed to hit from 234 to 656 max on my rogue (see magelo for unbuffed AC as that is what he had heh) and were not too bad unslowed. All of the guards enraged and summoned; some came in 2s or 3s (once or twice). Helps if chanter has Doppleganger (the clone AA). CC is a must btw, they hit softly but fast and can cream you heh.
The named hits for 1200s (only landed one hit on my rogue) and is fully slowable, can cripple, and can nuke (though he shared the same resist rate). He has a boat load of hp though, flurries a bit even crippled (but not loads), summons and enrages. No special attack or AEs noted. He reminded me of trying to fight a named in VT. Loads and loads of hp (well we had a ranger, shm, pal, mage, chanter, cleric, rogue all doing dps via melee or nukes) but the cleric stayed near 40% mana. The outcome would have been different if I had not botted my rogue. One groupable however try for maximum DPS.
He dropped Idealist's Woven Bracer and 2 Greater Muramite Runes. I lost on a 1 100 roll heh by rolling a 10 =/. This is all the info I can recall atm. Feel free to /tell me in game for further info and check back to see if I post an update. *Edit* Btw I do not know the event is triggered but we killed the a Dragorn armsman and a local ikaav of varying names. I could not tell which was the PH to spawn the named because they would vary which they pulled first after the shaman said the PH was up. I just told an enchanter about it and not long after the event spawned for him.
*25 Sept Edit* I just recalled. We had killed all of his red buddies which I think was a good thing because during the fight he was telling them to quit standing there and come help him. Too bad he could not admit to himself they were dead and the calvary would not arrive. *Edit Sept 27th* Niadina of Xev server reports that he is not targetable before you kill his buddies. Also confirms it is possibly one groupable but still a long fight.
