Not sure what we did wrong..but heres what happened...
1. setup on stonebridge and cleared near mobs/roamers. 2. positioned 11k pally on wooden bridge in stun range of lrah...btw saw no dragorn protectors 3. had 2 clerics and shammy quick healing pally. 4. set main assist on our warrior in case adds..all assist warrior when adds come and kill them then back to lirah. 5. said go and pally went to work..stunning lirah...pally got nuked alot...3 mins go by and nothing happens... 6. clerics getting a little worried on mana so i call all range attacks in.. 7. beat lirah to about 85% and here comes the 2 guards. warrior was out front to grab aggro..i think because of all the quick heals..gurds ran right by warrior and smacked the clerics silly. they died...pally dies...lirah kills all 1 by one..bah..i think he was toying with us.
Any suggestions? I had 26 peeps level 60+ ornate to elemental quality gear. I didnt see the guards and would of loved to fd pull them..i think they are now way up behind lirah..! thing i didnt do is get everybody resist buffs..oops..lol....any help or suggestions please? i think bridge tremor maybe LoS type ae?
We had some trouble with Lirah tonight: hadn't checked posts recently so didn't realize the guards were so resistant. Had one chanter target each dragorn, paladin tagged Lirah, dragorns resisted mez and killed the enchanters. Stasis'd one, luckily mez landed on the second, but Euphoria wouldn't land after that. Once mez wore off, they started tearing through the raid. Lirah didn't seem to have many HP's, though, so we got her down np and then finished the adds. 32 players from 54-70 in a wide range of gear.
IoF makes this much easier on the healers' mana pool. Don't plan on mezzing the dragorn guards unless you've got chanters with 3 minute Stasis. OT them, or clear the area near bridge and kite them, or just FD pull them and kill them before engaging Lirah.
Btw, to answer a post farther down, to get to Lirah, you enter RCoD from the zoneline in NW Bloodfields. Come out of the entrance tunnel and turn immediately left, cross bridge, run through Murk tunnels. When you come out of Murk tunnels at the other end, look straight and you'll see the rickety bridge that Lirah stands at the top of.
Did this again today and single pulled the guards before engaging Lirah. When Lirah reached some percent between 25 and 50 (not sure exactly what percent) the Protectors respawned. Not sure if they're on a very short spawn cycle only when Lirah is alive or are programmed to respawn at a given percent.
Today we had 26 people from 61-70, average raid level 68, in a wide range of gear.
Tried this tonite with 16 peeps: all 70 except one 69 Rgr. Guards resisted mez on 15 of 16 casts. Resisted all but one slow; nearly impossible to do without a MUCH larger Raid force. Have several peeps with us that have done Lirah many times; they are totally perplexed. This has been NERFED or worse it's bugged. BE VERY WARY. If someone kills Lirah; please post how.
The event aint too bad, 8 time geared with a few lv70 non-raiders came to drop him, but the 3500dd out did our 2 clerics mana pool. Got him to 49% before wipe. 12 time-geared peeps with 4 cleric or 2 cler 2 druid can drop him np with a 12k pally and some good dps. note: dont forget shammy resists, i resisted him once with poison at 225 and disease ~275.
THis event is not to tough, Need a Paly to range aggo Lirah the Bridgekeeper, Healers need to make sure your paly stays up. Off tank the 2 adds, and range attack the mob like crazy til dead. Lirah the Bridgekeeper has a nast Knock back so lev is important on your MA.
Murkglider Souldrainer showed up to wipe Tribal Fury on Vaz. Or maybe we were trained. (does it path across that bridge?)
If it does, then nail it before trying this event of you could wipe as well.
To answer the question on the adds - Yes, they can be brought away from the main tank. (they are not leashed) You only want 1 tank on the boss anyway, all other pure melee players are offtanks. They get aggro and run back to group.
50+ peeps, no BRD.
BRD delayed raid significantly. Be sure ya got one ahead of time that's ready to go if yer gonna run the raid.
Raid can also be significantly delayed by needless overplannng. The strat is pretty simple.
Tell the MT + bard to do what they do best.
Tell everybody else to stay at max distnce.
Tell the Healers to use fast heals
Have casters use an Extended Range item or tribute buff
need a knight to cast from a distance, if your meleeing this mob you are nuts, far easier to have a knight cast on mob to hold agro blast heals on the knight, rangers and nukes are the dps on this battle, no melee.
also mez lock them adds till Lirah is dead, then deal with them.
Souldrainer will NOT agro your raid unless you have some dumass using Rain spells on Lirah, which of course will agro SD if he's pathing there. He does NOT assist Lirah, we have confirmed this 2x.
If you see Souldrain on track, make SURE noone in your raid uses rain spells. Otherwise tell em to knock themselves out.
Well it's kina made to be hard to get a 70, though by now I believe they should at least drop in every 4-6 bosses, not in like every 20, but part of EQ is to make you spend time on it so... lol.
Seems everyone is so wrapped up on how resistant the adds are and weither you get 2 or 4 they look over the fact that Lirah is permarooted and doesnt summon. So...are the adds leashed to her and wont leave? Or can you pull them with a high hp monk then kill them off. Reducing the risk of a wipe do to adds?
btw we tried this mob tonight and I can confirm...pulling the mobs away from name dis possible..not leashed or anything.
IMO, if you wanna kill ONE add, fine. But I would highly recommend leaving the other alive and mezzed. Use it for Mind Wrack for the MT (sk/pal WILL run oom due to his mana drain dot without MW) as well as grouping healers with a necro. Lirah is kinda resistant and has been known to resist MW, 600 mana wasted =/.
I was a part of a raid that attempted this last night. The only unusual part, which was unexpected, and not exampled in the picture or strat, was there were not 2 Dragorn Protectors but 4 Protectors.
I don't know if it is a bug or just our luck but we were well set-up and were employing a similar strat to that exampled here. We were planning to mezz the 2 Protectors but they agroed instead and as they approached the MT on the wooden bridge they stopped and literally split into 4 mobs and subsequently 4 Dragorn Protectors agroed and attacked.
Has anyone done this recently or had a similar experience?
Yes. 1st pull we anticipated 4. Got 4. We got him to 10% and ran oom. Mostly cus some casters died early on as MT (sk) was wasting mana on taps and not agro spells, he went oom (she has mana drain) and couldnt keep agro.
SLOOOOOWW regen rate on her, we dragged to murk cave, rezzed up, fought our way back over and she was still at 49% health. This time we put 2 necros in the group with MT to MW on the adds, gave him PLENTY of mana.
To finish your question, on the second pull, we only got 2 adds, not 4 as before. I'm thinking it's bugged.
She dropped 2 69 runes and the 50 AC ranger pants. Vnice drop.
Just a follow up. We've done her 5 times now, and 2 times we got 4 adds, 3 times we got only 2. I have a feeling the extra two are just lucky wanderers when you pull or something, or maybe a bug of some sort. There are ONLY 2 mobs next to her, so some unluck is involved when you get 4.
She is heavily resistant, get about 1/3 of spells resisted even with tash, sinia and ro's in. Even necro fire dots with neg resist mog get resisted here and there. Key to the fight is to have a Pally or SK tank with a bard. Fast heals and do NOT let them die.
We have seen 3 chain pants, 1 leather pants and 1 sword.
Oh ya, nother bit of advice, put at least 1 if not 2 necros in group with pally or SK MT and a couple healers. Mind Wrack on the ADDS during the fight and the MT won't go oom and need twitch. Don't MW LtBK cus she might resist it, the adds won't.
Usually no one actually tanks Lirah, they just hold aggro with spells from a distance. The Feign death nuke she does can also wipe aggro making it harder to hold with just Bazu Bellow for a warrior. The SK/Paladin's though lose mana from the Black raid hp/mana dot.

Nod. Just have your pally/sk be the only one on the wooden bridge, and keep a necro or 2 in his/her group to Mind wrack the ADDS (Lirah can resist, adds never have resisted me in 10 kills now). Otherwise your MT will be OOM at about 40% and casters will die quickly.
Sending someone to melee him? I'm pretty sure that's suicide, as his AEs knock tanks down fast enough, I'd hate to see what melee dmg on top of that would do to a tank.
This encounter is much easier then it appears. Our guild did it last night with a raid force of about 40 pre-time flagged people.
Most important thing is to have quick heals and a knight class tank, our tank was a paladin with about 10.7k hp buffed maxed def AAs. Have this MT be the only person on the wooden bridge durring the fight. Make sure you have two chanters pre targ the mobs on either side of him.
After that have the MT run to the base of the wooden bridge and start casting their agro spells on lirah. Lirah will not summon but he will start blasting the hell out of the MT with his AoE's/procs. Lirah will not summon only blast the MT non-stop.
Once the tank is up and holding agro have everyone scoot up and begin bowing/nukeing Lirah to death. Make certain the DPS does not warder onto the woodan bridge part, they will get AoE'd and prolly die. After Lirah is down move up and kill the mezzed drags <if they agro'd>, and watch for repops and wanderers.
Some side notes: May want to have a necro or two near by to twitch the MT due to the mana drain AoE. Also if he is not killed fast enough you will get repops and adds. Our Mt never wandered close enough to Lirah to be struck by melee damage, his AoE/procs seem to be his only form of Damage. Finally may want to have a Paladin engage the mob due to their Sanctificaion disc to give a buffer if things get hairy, it will block all inc procs.
Edit: Forgot to mention that all of his Procs have a knock back componant to them, nothing insain just a little shove to ***** with MT agro casting.
Misleading people just sucks. Saying this is easily doable with 9 people is retarded and an all out lie.
1st off, the adds are HIGHLY resistant, and they tend to kill enchanters if mez breaks at any time or is resisted right away. So you need at least 2 chanters and a backup healer for them.
2nd off, Most if not all of your spellcasters need ER V items to land stuff or you're within the AE range and need massive heals (unless your unbuffed resists are already over 400).
3rd off, ANYONE doing this with 9 people or a group is GoD geared to the max. MAYBE a full Time geared group could do it but I doubt it.
4th off, with 6 or 9 people your dps would be so low that you also have to offtank and kill, or mez the roamer that would repop during the fight.
Our guild is heavily VT geared with OoW drops and PoP drops up to EP (just killed RZ) and it takes us 30+ people to do this safely. We could prolly do with 18, but it would be a LONG fight, and 6 of those would need to be our rangers. And check out our website, we FOCUS on doing more with less. This mob is no joke.
Please, give constructive info here, as I'm sure you have used info from here in the past. If you want to boast that you've done this with a group, fine thats your perogative. But don't fail to include that you're in an anguish guild and your druid has 10k hp unbuffed, the pally MT had 14k hp unbuffed, and the clerics had 13k mana pools with FT 20+, cus most people don't have that....
This IS doable with very few people. You don't need to tank it. You have a Tank there to protect a chanter keeping the gaurds mezzed. Ranger builds agro, Gets nuked, cleric heals Ranger = Cleric has agro. Cleric Sits oor via geometry/distance and keeps agro from Rangers.
So.. that's 4 people so far...
Add Ranged attack, preferable Rangers due to low agro of Bow and you're golden. Loot up gate out and leave the gaurds (can't remember if they despawn)
So YES it's doable, yes I said think about the dynamic of the fight, well now you have the spoiler gratz.
Not that hard to work out on a rooted/non-summoning mob I thought but if you can't acheive anything in this game without a spoiler then fine.
Gear doesn't make a great deal of difference done this way, as long as your Rangers have EQ/AM3 they'll be dishing similar damage as a GoD geared ranger using his bow. Chanter needs to have the latest mezz though.
Apologies to the people that think strats shouldn't be spoonfed to people. Your chances of finding him up just decreased.
I'm not sure why you find it so unbelievable. nothing you list is particularily hard to overcome. ER5 is easily doable with tribute.
it can definatly be done by a group, you need a good person to tank (time+ geared, what that tank needs should be pretty obvious), a couple people to heal, dps, and someone to mez the wanderer after it repops.
Haha! Couldn't have said it better. I totally agree...I mean, people want to brag about how they did it with 1 group or whatever but then wont follow up with details. A ahmmy said he duoed Souldrainer with a WAr. But thats all he said lmao. WTF....I generally don't believe such comments that lack a follow-up myself.
We managed to mez the 2 adds that spawned and held them that way for a long time--no more seemed to spawn after that. We ended up getting owned by respawn and adds from under the bridge however as we didnt have enuf range DPS to get it done in time.
ok need a run down on this fight strat wise, adds seem to keep comming when we attempted it?of course as soon as healers through a heal on anyone that had an add smashing em the agro turned on the healers who were off to the left of bridge on hill side facing bridgekeeper.
As I post this my little brother and bout 35 of his guildmates are killing Lirah the Bridgekeeper. He DOESNT summon and is Perma-rooted. Its exactly like fighting Tallon Zek in Tactics. Who ever gets has aggro gets hit with the AE. So technically you dont have to even worry about melee dmg output from Lirah himself. Keep the Aggro'er out front and then keep he / she up while everyone else uses ranged melee or nukes / dots
I know ive been past these mobs invis in the past to grind in a cave just past it with some murks. are they see invis now b/c i died 2 times trying to get by them thinking i just lost invis the first time
A little bit of Info for you. Lirah doesn't summon, but he is perma rooted. use that to your advantage. meleeing him will only kill you. As far as numbers go, if you do it right, you wont need many
The AEs are for anyone that is standing on the Bridge. If you read the description of the AEs themselves you can see exactly why. Clerics that stood right off the edge of the bridge did not get hit with the AE.
Definately the Risk vs Reward is borked on this guy. Anybody that can kill him doesn't need the drops. Other than 69 runes and there's easier places to get them.
