The fight was done with the Swarmfiend UNSLOWED.

If you summon a mount you will still get stunned by his AoE but you will not spin. He casts it every 15-25 seconds or so.

The best strat is to get two good clerics healing the MT (a good MT), get him in a corner and DPS the crap outta him.

Don't bother with your pet one this one, True Spirit died in 3 hits.

I cast 7 slows on him after Malo and Tash and none landed, nor did the 70 shm's. Dot's did not land either. The best thing to do is MAW your DPS to sneak your damage through.

Dropped regen 3/mana regen 3 ring from chest.

Downed today with a 20 person mostly casual-geared raid.

70 Pally tank with 10% shielding took a max hit of 1760.

Once Tash'd, most of my Psychosis blasts were landing for 90-95%, a few full resists and a a few mitigated to half. Arcane Noose and Strangle both stuck regularly, which mitigated a good portion of his regeneration.

Spinstun's nasty, but get Guard of Druzzil up and it's mostly resistable.

We just did him earlier today and I think they might have changed the resist on the spin stun. Both toons I was boxing used Infusion of the Faithfull so all resists were around 525 or 540 (depending on which toon you looked at) and we still got stunned.

I don't remember taking any damage from the stun but I would follow the advice to fight at max melee. Every time I got too close with my bard, I got hit pretty hard.

I resisted him several times with about 280 resists, so maybe you just got unlucky.

Getting ready to do this raid mob was wondering how often does his ae stun/spin go off, is it like the AM? Do you take any damage from the stun?Also, should I get more melee damage or caster damage? Not sure if most casting can be done outside of the ae range. Is this guy tougher than the AM? Thanks for any information.

At 515 resists using Infusion of Faithful I resisted the spinstun about 95% of the time.

Corpse camping doesnt even BEGIN to describe this guy. Thanks SOE for making him not move until aggroed and then REMAIN where he is. He gets trained to the ME zone line if no one is killing him and then you can forget your chance of running to VT. Dont even try to run by this guy. Stuns you so you cant even get off an instant gate

From everything I know and have read you cannot loot the quest item without being at the proper step in the quest. I have also heard rumors that if there isn't a shaman in the zone who is at the proper place in the quest he won't even drop the item so you would be wasting your time. All of the steps except Megalodon leading up to the Netherbian Swarmfiend I did solo or with a partner. I'd just wait until you're ready and bring your raid force and do it in order. There is no rush on this guy, he is not contested at all. I have never zoned into The Umbral Plains when this guy was not available to kill, except of course when I actually came with my raid force and then we had to wait ten minutes for him to show up because we were early. This fight is a joke. You'll do fine.

Won this fight with 2 clerics a druid and me with a raid force of 18 high end qvic Txevu equipped people 1 tank and assorted dps. no deaths straight forward fight, hope info helps

My little four man group was out in UP tonight and ran into this little fellow. He was pulled to zone not knowing his true nature. After he quad hit myself for 800-1200 points each killing
me in 3 rounds or so he finished my group.

NOTE: He does not path back to where you find him as of this posting he is currently camping my groups dead asses are zone in.

The newbie alt we sent in to check zone was hit
four times for 1700.. max damage I guess.

I tracked that mob many evening for my own epic, and I found that this mob stay up for 2 hours, then it depop for 1 hour. I tracked him many cycles and they were all the same.

Was killin Elysians trying to get druid a better BP, and I come running over the hill from the safe valley and this guy is sitting right in the middle of the remains house.... and he wouldnt move! Not enough peeps on test anymore to take down ( not enough willing to come that far out of the way for NON-elemental gear I should say ) so we left the area have to try another another day.

Just be careful if your camping the remains, I didnt see him walk into house so he may just "pop" there, be a real nasty ADD

LET one aweosme monk pull him all the wat to ME zone
let MT tag him off and fight him in a corner ( hes to big so u can still hi him with arrows)
NOBODY gets in range of THE AOE RAMPAGE
just MT is fighting rest MELEE and dps be rdy for a long fight and have some spammers on mT cause aoe stun will be resisted moast of the time with a bard for resists but not always so it breaks chealchain

we had 19 peeps when i did it

This fight doesn't require five clerics or even three. I did this fight with two clerics. He is slowable and doesn't really seem to even hit that often. I had a 13K elemental+ warrior tank him and there was zero difficulty whether defensive was on or not. AoE rampage is nothing to worry about as long as your melee fight from maximum melee range, they'll never get hit. Pets are pretty much useless for this fight since you can't adjust what range they attack at but I did use Spirit Call III to push him into the corner. Took one try and the only people who died were those that got too close or the bard who was pulling him when he got caught in a spin stun. This guy has tons of hps and huge regen, its nothing more than an endurance fight, just set your dots and slow and wait him out. Did him with three groups but only about half of that was necessary.

i,m lvl 66 shammy falor icestrike and wanna thank all my friends who helped with this on torv
We had 6 clerics and me spamming the Mt shadowknight 11k hp 2030 ac we had a bard for resists NEEDED and have rangers and casters fight took bout 15mins

hits 1700,s bout 200k hp go,s down slow cause ur fighting range

- sees invis
- max hit around 1700, 1000 on average
- pull to zi corner, easy to fight there
- get bard for resists
- fight it on horse, if you hate SpinStun
- sitting down stops SpinStun too.
- UNDEAD, get paladins to Slay it.
- if you are doing a pickup raid, get 4-5 groups of lvl 65-70 just to be sure, worked just fine (on 3rd try..)

Attempted to kill this mob today with 17 people, most 65-70 and lightly EP geared.

Was going pretty well up until about 75% when a bad stun hit most of the raid and the MT went down.

As a 65 war with 9kish HP and 1630ish AC raid buffed, I lasted exactly 5 seconds. Tripled 1630/1231/1630 (out of defensive, all non OoW mitigation AAs except ID completed) to finish me off.

We most likely didn't have enough DPS to kill him with so few people before the healers went OOM. Was fun though, was able to resist the stun about 2/3 of the time with 360ish MR (MR buff + bard song). Will try again soon with 4+ groups, revenge will be sweet. =)

I don't know the exact details, but we had about 34 people total, average lvl of 67, dropped this guy in about 3-4 minutes. Shammy friend is now 1.5 epic'd :)

Doesn't matter what your MR is, you will still get spun around. mine was at 300+ the whole time and still got spun. if you're on a drog it won't spin you, then you can see everyone else spin lol :)

Did this guy on the Rathe at around 15:30 est Sun 5th Dec.
I was expecting 150k hp from reading posts. I parsed the fight and the mob took about 254k of damage! That wont include damage done when I was out of range of melee messages as I moved away to self heal. Nor would it include dots that other players would have landed. I only managed to get magic dots to stick (Bane and Anethama) - and then only about 50% of the time.

My guess then is that he has much nearer 300k than 150k and certainly more than 250k.

Got some pauldrons from the chest that have not been listed yet - will link them or publish the stats shortly.

Now the proud owner of a 'lion-on-a-stick' :)

From talking to guildies about the damage they were doing the estimate of HP is now 500k. If the AoE is a lifetap 1500 points then the longer the fight goes and the more he gets it off, the more his apparent hit-points will be of course. I have since read some posts that place him as high as 750k.
Our fight above was only 8.5 mins to arrive at 500k.

Drinal Crusaders took him down today with 5 groups.

was acutally rather easy only 1 death. Tank was time flagg'ed.

so where the other two backup tanks but they wernt needed.

easier than you would think from the level.

Our guild took him out with 4 groups (non EP, non time geared, 65-70 range on members).

First try>> wipe. Only one FD necro survived (me).

Second try>> got a bard to AE MR song, and we took about 8minutes to kill him, but we won. Our Shammy (Kagguluk) got his epic, and my wife (cleric) got teh drop from the chest (ac60 plate boots, w/+mana regen, and nice nice stats).

Get your MR to 350+ or you don't stand a chance.

I resisted a bit more than half of the stuns, with MR 369.

Took him down this past Saturday evening.
